Personally, I'm kind of glad we know so little.
the entire plot of Iron Man 3 has been spoiled by just about every trailer and ad posted over the past month. I mean, the final act is spelled out to you in the full length trailers a few times.

Ummm wut? First line was a little longer and was totally fine and the second was the same from the 2nd trailer. The pacing/editing with the music in tv spot was super fast though. Then again "I am full of shit. Rich, smooth, creamy shit." explains everything

... Did you guys watch the previous trailer? It's the exact same audio, just edited briskly (IE, poorly) for the 30 second TV spot time frame.

What are people hearing that is so awful with the line reading? This is actually the first Ive heard anyone complain about his voice/line reading. Heck it's basically the same two lines we have already heard.
People dealt with Bale Batman voice and lisp and Cavill sounds no wear near as bad as that.

Considering the emotional context of the scene, I think the delivery sounds great. He's just begun, in that instant, to figure what & who he is. He's being handed everything he's ever wanted to know.

Same, plus the look on his face. That helps sell it for me just as much as his delivery.

My biggest problem is that the trailer doesn't do a great job of explaining the logistics of how he can just launch into the air like that. It comes out of nowhere. What are we supposed to believe, that this is some sort of super-man?

Seriously and at this point with all the actors who have portrayed Superheroes on film, Cavill sounds just fine and even with a couple of lines is better than most of them. I will have no problem admitting that Cavills stinks if I hear something in a longer trailer or if he shits the bed in the movie, but I don't hear it at all in these two lines. Hell no one complained about Routh's line readings in the trailers and he had some bad ones.

I'm hoping WB acknowledge the 75th anniversary next week and release the new trailer next Thursday but we'll see. At the very least we'll get some reports out of CinemaCon next Tuesday on what was screened.
There are some rumblings that something might be released or posted tomorrow....

While it is of course still early apparently Man Of Steel is now considered the film to beat this summer at the box office.
...., I've heard many 'internal' tracking services apparently have Man Of Steel way ahead of everyone else at this juncture in terms of awareness and social media activity etc.
I hope this becomes true and we get at least a Trilogy!
You guys seem defensive. The pacing of his lane is way off, just doesn't sound right. Especially the "what do you think". I'm willing to blame it on the editing for the trailer though. The same problem is evident in the Iron Man trailers where tony says "protect the one thing I care most about". The pacing is weird and doesn't have the right emotional weight IMO. But like I said, it's most likely the editing for the trailer.

I'm hoping Cavill's good in this, because I've never been impressed with any of his performances prior. He's a sucky actor, probably the reason he was second choice for all the big hitters.

He was not a sucky actor on the Tutors :\ Actually he was first choice in the next Superman movie that was gonna me made before Singer took over. Also all the actors sucked ass in his two other movies Immortals and Cold Light of Day and those movies have good actors in them.
He's a much better actor than Brandon Routh who was only cast cause he sorta looked like Reeve, he's older than Cavill, and Singer wanted to bed him hah

I actually like that. I hope they don't even call him "Superman" in the film, until maybe the end or something. I liked how in TDKR they never once referred to Selina Kyle as "Catwoman". There was no need to.

It was pretty cruddy, yeah, but Cavill still emoted conviction and loss well enough in Immortals. I watched it on Netflix last summer when cleaning out my old house to size him up acting-wise, but I need to watch The Tudors.
