Saw this on BoingBoing and had to check it out. It looks awesome and because AOL's page didn't work for me in FireFox, here is a YouTube link - http://youtube.com/watch?v=bKhiGjjNKLg
It looks really funny, but I have a strong feeling that these bits are all just in the first half hour to hour and that the second half of the movie is a more tad more serious with much more drama. There are hints of it in the preview, and Good Morning, Vietnam had the same kind of flow but it worked there.. so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Aside from the fake news thing, this looks like it's basically 'what if Robin Williams ran for president?' With that, it seems like it'll be a series of bits that could work practically as well on stage during a standup special, just with Christopher Walken, Laura Linney and Lewis Black on standby.

Seems likely. Adam Sandler and Robin Williams have never made that leap to pure comedy movies where it stays insincere. Don't know why actually. They always gotta bring in that half a dose of drama. Sometimes it works, other times it's wasted space for more jokes.
