Why hasn't she unmatched him?

This is like an anonymous person insulting you on the phone and you keep listening. He's a fucking douche. Just cut him off.

I've had women suddenly loose interest before, it's part of the dating game. You just get back on Tinder or wherever and find a new match. Ideally you'll be chatting to multiple women at once.

People don't just lose interest, they just get a better offer. Women will also be talking to multiple people.

Oh my god, men are so creepy, lets all chop off our own penises right?

Poor showing from the doctor, but cringing at the knee jerk extrapolation occurring here. I get that guys acting creepy is the stereotype. Sometimes we should question if reinforcing the stereotype from either direction is a good thing or not.

Huh? This is a pretty regular occurrence.

To be honest, I think there's a problem with using this sort of thing to justify poor behaviour - 'This is why people ghost.'

Like... there are clear examples of crazy female stuff out there - and if we used that in context to highlight how crazy she was, and used that to justify poor behaviour towards women as a whole, I'm sure someone would call that shit out as unjustifiable.

At least that's where I'm coming from. Maybe that's reading into things a bit too much - but it's not like selectively showing people certain types of information/narrow context to incite certain general opinions is an uncommon thing. I mean, to put it another way, it's not necessary to be explicit to imply something!

Anyway, it was a knee jerk post of annoyance from me. Not entirely without reason, but not something so important to me that I'm going to be defending this point further.

The ratio for female creepy messages to male creepy messages is off the charts. Yeah, probably best to not defend that point. This isn't selective, it's pretty generalisable for this reaction if a dude gets rejected. My sister has got messages like this months after she stopped contact with some dudes. This coming from muslims and on a marriage website, so you'd expect them to be on best behaviour. But nope. Open solicitations for sex and blowing up from getting rejected.

What guy calls a woman "dude"?

Think it's ok to call a woman "dude" in certain circumstances. If you know each other well and are in the midst of doing some stupid shit, "dude" can be like a term of endearment or an indication that you consider someone a compatriot. Generally speaking, I don't think it's the most troublesome thing in the world (though it could be a thing, I guess, depending on the people involved).

Now I don't know much about internet dating but even my ignorant and experience-free self gets the sense that the guy is doing it wrong. On many levels. The "dude" thing may very well not be appropriate or well deployed, but that shouldn't be the main takeaway here!

Y'all being weak getting indignant about "dude". I call ladies "dude" all the time. I also call guys "babe". The patriarchy isn't going to smash itself.

"My mom recently died ok". Yikes.
I legit had a girl do that to me recently, albeit with her grandmother, not her mom. I posted screens of the conversation of it in FakeGAF. It was messed up, and this was before we had even met. Needless to say, I didn't meet her, and blocked her promptly. She got way too clingy too fast for my liking. And using a dead relative as an excuse is not acceptable, even more so if it's a lie.

But the patriarchy is big and manly and would probably smash itself if you made a bet.

From my experience pretending to be a girl on a dating website in order to prank a friend

Guy gets a chance, says stupid joke, gets rejected and burns his chance, meltdown follows. I'd say its pretty normal, maybe the doctor quote and the mother's death was too much but the rest is ok if you see it as a denied chance with no explanation accepted .

That is assuming that he told that thing as a joke, on the other case she was lucky lol.
Nope

He's probably actually pretty cool once you get to know him. Some people just make bad first impressions.

Holy shit, that was one of the most cringeworthy things I've read in a while. What a loser and a jerk.

Guy was obviously just looking for sex. lol @ Joke. Did he really think that was going to fly?

The guy's erection was tapping out those messages...

Oh god, so horrible. It's people like that make it stupidly hard to just talk to women on dating sites, I swear.

I did have a creepy girl once myself. We messaged a few times, she seemed nice enough, but she'd often message very early morning when I wasn't even awake and then get angry when I didn't reply right away. One day she was getting a bit pestering while I was at work, and then she sent a sound clip.. It was her masturbating, which was really not appropriate, so I had to tell her I wasn't interested and to please stop being a pest. She took that as a cue to find all my family members on Facebook, including my sister and mother, and message them about how I wouldn't leave her alone and that I was such a sex pest and she hoped they were proud. Fun conversations.

Wow, wouldn't be surprised if the more she tries this, ends up getting arrested.

That sounds bad, Robin64.

No easy way to transition into this next part without seeming cold. I'll understand if you hate me.

"Sex Pest" is an amazing combination of words.

Well I get where he's coming from, I'm a doctor too and I also think at a much higher level than normal people.

Please clap.
