I don't read a lot of manga, but I just finished reading the published volumes of Yotsuba&! and wanted to come in here to say it's the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Yotsuba's facial expressions are gold, and her innocent, naive outlook on the world is endlessly charming. The backgrounds are appealingly detailed and do a good job of grounding the setting in the real world, despite the cartoony character designs. Good stuff.

Yotsuba& is the gold standard, it's true. It also works as a gateway drug into your choice of either the "raise a kid" genre (Ashiteruze Baby, etc) or comedy/fighting (Beelzebub)

had to force my way to the end.
left off at the azuki radio show. and the whole arc, i just didn't care for. heaps of text too through that section that was just blah.
the handling of the reversi end is a little more interesting. seems to be some sorta venting about how death note went.
if someone told me the ending wasn't all that great and just summarized it for me, i would've been fine with that.

Great series. Even though I love Captain Tsubasa I prefer the more realistic approach of Giant Killing.

An AT police force was just plain baffling and silly, but Akito/Agito was a cool addition. Hilarious to the plot and cast, and even more funny with Ikki. I guess his friends will never let him forget that moment. Kazu receiving much needed development was pleasing. I guess my current list of favorites is Ikki, Kazu, Agito/Akito. Apart from Buccha none of the antagonists have actually had terrible designs, in fact, they are pretty cool.
The teacher, ton-chan?, is hilarious. I hope she sticks around.

Ok, second attempt to read the manga has gone better. After couple of chapters I got the hang of the endless dialogues so now I can easily skip half of them and still get the gist of the manga.
Shiranui is such a little troll. I also don't like this new dude Akune. He looked like a filler character from his design and yet he became a secretary of the student council.

Remember when Wolf Guy first started getting translated and I told everybody the main character was gonna sacrifice himself for his teacher and that the whole story would wind up being a mastubatory misanthropic revenge fantasy? The dude only knows how to write one plot.
It wound up as a love story between a boy and his dog though.

I think the last battle was great, not because the battle itself it cointained all the elements the series was some stupidily awesome before the rape porn marathon.

Well, I kinda forgot for a while because for quite some time releases were quite slow and barely posted chapter reviews.
And yeah the rape was dull and unnecesary, because for a lot of chapters if was going on circles with chapters with nothing happening and was just rape porn material.

Man, Oda apparently is a pretty nice guy. I'm watching a Japanese program and it has One Piece fans vs the One Piece editors competing against each other in a quiz where they ask each other questions. He apparently considers his editors on the same level as he is and lets them voice their opinions, something that can be rare in Japan. He even has the same attitude for his new editors who just turned pro a few years ago.
He also wrote a personal message One Piece fans competing telling them that he doesn't mind if they crush his editors in a knowledge competition. Quite amusing.

So this is when the manga starts shifting focus? The conflict at the end of this volume with the enforces leader has a more shounen battle feeling then the previous stuff in the manga so far.
I gotta say, Nisio really likes to ramble on. This manga is filled with so much more texts than other shounen manga that I read.
