Id probably put this in my favorites single volumes for this year, even if Ive only read three chapters, which I hope the rest get done soon. Characters are slightly older than what Ive been reading for these (well college age, grad students I guess) but still intriguing. Backstory for them is intriguing and I really like how their interactions was done and development. Amane and Noshino are really good. Amane's backstory and one of the other characters seem well in bringing some seriousness to the plot to make it more than just the typical story for the genre
which seems to add drama. For the two mains, there are some really nice panels, like when Amane is shy, or when he pushes noshino away when the friends come home earlier than expected. I like.

Character design is baffling. Characters look way older than 18-20s...Regardless I thought at times it was compelling even if a bit predictable. Transforming humans to insects and then just humanoid cockroachs seemed unique even if a bit scary but I made it through. Curious what happens next

A Devil and Her Love Song: I really like this one. The bullying plot is very rage inducing, but entertaining and the characters are pretty interesting. It kind of feels like it's lost momentum in recent chapters though.
Dengeki Daisy: Really really sappy, but not terrible.
Oresama Teacher: Really funny, but it feels the worst guy by far is totally going to win and that kinda spoils it for me.

All caught up. Enjoyed it a lot overall, but I'm saddened that the suffering levels have dropped like a rock since
and an actual plot's begun to emerge. Also the author needs to make better use of the cast, e.g. by killing off the main heroine and replacing her with someone interesting, like spirit girl, blind girl or mentally unstable flame girl.

Sotsugyousei 1 - 10
It has been a good sequel to Doukyuusei. The jealously plot is still around but the story upped the drama level by introducing
. A lot of touching moments, and comedy throughout makes me like it as much as Doukyuusei, and now that Im used to the art style its even more enjoyable. Love Kusukabe and the fitting room short, as well as when he made Sanjou dinner. And probably one of the most memorable moments, was
. That whole scene.
It has been a good sequel to Doukyuusei. The jealously plot is still around but the story upped the drama level by introducing
the hospital tragedy for Sanjou's mom...which hope she's stilll alive?
Sanjou telling his mom he had a boyfriend.
At least Kurosaki isn't the typical boring male shoujo love interest. He's a jerk...which I respect. But he also is super into a 16 year old girl so he is still sketchy...which I respect.

I'd give it awhile (~20-ish chapters) before you decide on anything. It changes focus a bit early on before deciding on the genre it'll stick to primarily.

Well my expectations are not "it will be awesome" or "it will be bad" but more like what it is about. That change in focus you said helps
Well, the focus changes a bit early on but the humor and general approach towards basically everything is fairly consistent throughout. It's rather over the top and ridiculous with the occasional meta commentary (and then an entire arc that takes that to the extreme).

So he has some weakness, though they are not ones that will make the assassination any easier. I wonder why this cocky new kid thinks he can touch the teacher, he must have some sort of a plan.

Enjoy it early on for what it is . . . B-tier sports shonen that gets worse as you go.
Completely over the top and absolutely ridiculous (eventually) but it's charming due to that as long as you embrace it for that. If you want serious sports, get the fuck out as soon as you can.
I think I just like battle manga tournament setups that are basically displays of special skills.
All the recent Jumps come out the same day, I like this.

Yeah.. it's becoming increasingly less and less likely for the real prince to be dead. Even for Jump, that fighting was really too safe. How convenient the weapon incapacitates on touch and doesn't do any real external damage. I mean, seriously now, it's a bit silly (in a bad way).

I was just starting to wonder why there weren't any serious/violent delinquents in that class (since they'd be right at home with the plot), but I guess now there is one.

So that shop keeper was the coach, neat. Dunno how I like the direction of having a team of specialists. I know everyone need to have their own unique skill, but like with Eyeshield, I like it more when they are still decent at doing things outside their expertise (so far Kuroko is pretty good at that, even if Kuroko himself is the definition of a specialist).
I really love, love people who are insane at one thing and suck at everything else, at least one or two of them is a must. Still, y'know. Y'know.

The original PoT is ok but avoid the sequel at all cost. Imagine E21 hast ended with the Christmas Bowl and the stuff after that is Shin PoT. With horrendous pacing.

There were so many minor but good things about this chapter to make it my favorite so far. The kids smiles while wielding knives, the whole part with them being disheartened over the roses he destroyed, and then that new cool character, definitely at this point leagues better than Nagisa! Though Nagisa is starting to grow on me, so nice. I like the emotion aspect its getting at with the Class E stuff.
I think it'd be more interesting if they worked on getting them out of that low level and such, cause even if they meet their goal, well it doesnt really help them in terms of how the other students and teachers and just community perceives them anyway.

So Gengoroh Tagame is getting his first English volume release (there was a chapter of his work before in Thickness, I believe).
Not really a fan of his work after checking some out thanks to the noitamina hoax a few months ago. Not for me, especially after the part where they push a tube into a man's anus and then pour boxes of gravel in before stirring it with a branch snapped off a nearby tree.
Still, interesting enough for some interest.
