Boku no Hero Jutsu 56

Yeah, Stain turned out to be pretty interesting. I enjoy that his pressure was strong enough to cause the big heroes to pause.

I'm also actually really interested in Shigaraki. I know he hasn't done much but his design with all the hands is fucking creepy as shit, the fact that we don't know about his quirk (or if it's even a real quirk and not something else) but that it's super fucking dangerous and his assholey otaku attitude all make him someone I really wanna see get wrecked.

I've read the entirety of Horimya a while ago to expand my horizons beyond my usual shounen battle shit but found it really dull and unfunny from the very beginning. -_-

Tsugumomo 74
Tsugumomo is probably the top manga that I would recommend to anyone who wants to see a fantastic battle manga with gorgeous art and incredibly detailed combat flow. I am putting my money down on Yoshikazu being the best artist drawing fight scenes in manga today. He has an eye for making fights able to be easily read and understood yet contained with incredible movement and energy so they're frenetic and exciting.

I've no idea what this is about but I'm suddenly interested.
BUT

I would never actually recommend this manga because the fan service is so ridiculous it's almost pornographic. Like Jesus christ it is just full of shit that makes some hentai look tame. And he gets away with it somehow and I'm not sure how...I'm always like "Yo, read this manga, it's amazing but holy shit please just...just ignore or skip past the tits everywhere and dick groping and loli labias just...ugh...no...please come back, I swear it's good...fuck..."

I can deal with it but 95% of people won't and it makes perfect sense.

Surely it can't be that bad

Will at least check it out for them fight scenes.

Pretty sure his quirk is to disintegrate anything he touches with his hands.

My Hero Academia 56

I hope we see more of Stain in the future. Also I found dog detective pretty creepy.

It was just a dog head in a human body.

It's a great series, but it one of the few manga's I would never read in public. Since at any point the mangaka can just randomly through in a couple nude pages for whatever reason.

My condolences. Try Yandere Kanojo next?

My Hero Academia

Stain was nuts, really love that guy. I was surprised when he called Endeavor a phony too, that guy's supposed to be the second best. I wonder if something went down in the past. Actually in general I'd really like a Stain backstory.

About the dog dude sorry but I didn't understand a word he said. How was this not self defense? Oh well.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
That, too.
It's just a regular fluffy substance-less romance, really. I mean the entire conceit is "wholesome girl is attracted to bad boy," but then we find out he's not even a bad boy at all and any traces of being hard-edged get erased almost immediately.

And it just keeps going 30 chapters after the main plot was resolved. For some reason.

Yeah, went back to read the chapters with him and even if that's not really his ability (though it certainly looks like it) it's definitely a Quirk since Eraserhead's Quirk worked on him, otherwise when he grabbed Tsuya's head he would've killed her.

On a side note, Tsuya's no selling of nearly everything always amuses me. She actually does have regular emotions but her face just doesn't show it most of the time and I find that funny and endearing. She's also a boss in that when she was grabbed by Shigarami she had enough courage and worry to pull Deku away from Noumu so he wouldn't get hammersauced even though Eraserhead wasn't looking at Shigarami anymore. She was pretty much like...looking death in the face.

As far as Tsugumomo goes I'll post some pages later of the fights to give people an idea of what they're like, but also...I'm a little unsure of rules on the forum regarding linking to the NSFW images. Not posting them just the link to the pages they are on. Don't wanna get in trouble.

That way people can know if this series would be something they'd stand or not.

It's pretty refreshing to see how varied the top 10 best sellers list have gotten from the boring shounen fest

I think what surprises me the most about that list is that not even maybe like...5 years ago? The list would be just shonen shit and the most generic ones you could get. But man, looking at that list now it's almost all stuff I follow and a number I would claim are pretty great.

That won't be a problem lol. I don't even have the means to read the manga in public.

I actually started it yesterday with a few chapters. Not overly impressed but I'm going to need to read more before passing the judgment.

I've been here long enough to know what this means coming from you. ;p

Otoyomegatari 1-4

The art is extremely nice but I'm not finding this all to interesting so far, should I continue?

I...like that manga, it is as you say extremely beautiful, but...I often have a hard time getting through chapters. The story is interesting but the pacing is just sooooooooooooooo dragging. I think it's better to follow it on releases than reading it all at once cause damn did it take me a long time to read it all up to date.

Wifey is a pretty great character tho. Husbando not somuch.

Well at that point you should already know what you'll be going into, it keeps on being a historical slice of life with sprinkles of drama (it shifts focus from the main couple after a bit)

Because its Engrish? Its kind of like how I'd rather say "Shingeki no Kyojin" than "Attack on Titan." It doesn't make any sense but nobody has the balls to tell Isayama that he doesn't know English.

I think Stain considers Endeavor a phony because to Stain it's not about power and strength and saving people it's pretty much about the "why" of it. Endeavor certainly isn't doing it for altruistic purposes as his character should prove.

Tsugumomo 74

Continuing the interesting back arc for his mom but she flipped her switch from emotionless child to playful and violent pretty darn quick. I can somewhat roll with it, but I'm eager to see her more towards the end of her life so we can sorta get a bit more of why she needed to die.

Also, more tits! Why not! Tits for everyone!

Haha, this is perfectly spot on.
The afterwords in every volume are also worth a read. Ramblings of a madman, determined to draw everything he can imagine naked and in an obscene pose, but forced, probably with a gun to his head, to create some of the best action scenes ever.

Boku No Hero Academia 56

Stain is a character that could have really backfired if handled poorly, but like always in the series, it's done well. Made for some really memorable scenes.

Holy shit that's the perfect description of him. A man driven to draw every single character he ever makes naked with their legs spread but being forced at gunpoint to draw the best action scenes committed to paper.

Lol This is so on point.

I love the manga, but it is absolutely a guilty pleasure; I haven't been able to bring myself to recommend it to anyone because of that crap.

that's not the hook, the hook is that this loser looking guy is a badass looking guy but is actually an awkward loser and that the wholesome girl is kinda pointed and spiky

but also i agree largely tbh

fucking hell horimiya

If you have a decently high tolerance its not that bad (more surprising that he fucking gets away with it lol).

Also the author is 100% into making those scenes along with the normal stuff and its basically his MO.

when it comes to anatomy :

hamada yoshikazu >>>>>>>>>>>>> kentaro yabuki

dude even gets to hiramoto 's level sometimes

Basically a slice of life except for the fact that the main couple had sex. Not sure why it lasted so long.

Because it was adapted from a web comic that ended shortly after they banged.

Looks like the Nisekoi author was right all along, you can't actually have the main couple get together or else it will just get boring

actually the webcomic contrinued longer than that

waaaaaaaaaaaaaay longer (click on the first image under "Comic", it has 500+ chapters fyi)

so that's why it confuses me why people are expecting there to be some sort of big time plot happening anytime soon when it's very comfortably presented itself as a slice-of-life manga in the vein of nozaki-kun or some shit.

i was lied to

And unlike Nozaki-kun whenever someone besides the main pair shows up I'm not like "AWWWW YEAH" it's more like "aw shit no"

yeah that's fair

i actually like some of the supporting cast in horimiya (hori's family, the current love triangle with Tooru, Sakura and Yuki) but yeah a good chunk of them are admittedly pretty bland.
