So basically that means Shueisha seems pleased with it?

No it just means they're trying to push their new series or remind people of their long running classes. The only reason 8x11 added that "not ranked" for Neverland is so that people won't mistake it's high spot in the TOC as it's doing well. Really the only thing of note is that Batsu is a bomb and probably won't last long.

So basically that means Shueisha seems pleased with it?

Nah, they just place it where ever (usually near the front) until the 8th issue since its release comes out (so if it debuted in the 24th issue, the first real rank would be the 31st issue unless it gets the cover or color page spot (which means its in a good place anyway)). And the last one in this ranking, Isobe can be ignored since they place it always at the end as a palette cleanser.
Pure rankings this weeks comes to this:
1. Haikyuu!!
2. One Piece
3. Hinomaru Zumou
4. Black Clover
5. World Trigger
6. Kochikame
7. Kimetsu no Yaiba
8. Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
9. Shokugeki no Soma
10. Samon-kun wa Summoner
11. Sesuji wo Pin! to〜Shikakou Kyougi Dance-bu e Youkoso〜
12. Takuan and Batsu’s Daily Demon Diary
13. PSI Kusuo Saiki
14. Gintama
15. Toriko

The Promised Neverland is promising as fuck. If the manga-ka plays his cards right with the plot he can have a surefire hit with it I feel. It's already getting some very positive reception from Japanese online communities.

Last week was a weird sales week (I'm assuming holidays), so low drops for those that did debut last week.

That's reassuring to hear, I really want it to do well since its something different and interesting for once.

I hope it does well, since the two chapters that are out so far are really interesting, and it definitely has a lot of potential. I hope the Japanese reception you're talking about is real, but even then I worry since my understanding of the Japanese online communities is that they're far more niche than American equivalents (which are already somewhat niche) and thus it doesn't necessarily indicate how well it'll do among mainstream audiences

Not bad, not bad at all.

Pleased to see Dungeon Meshi be this high, ReLife and Twin Star having a nice boost as well.

As for Boruto, it doing well enough for a spin-off not done by the original creator. I guess its current cap will be 350- close 400 k per volume, which is a good result for a monthly manga.

Isnt that a specif brand?

I just call em web comics, or korean webcomics

It started with the brand, but from what I've seen it also now refers to the style.

Kinda like how Podcasting is a thing while iPods have fallen out of the mainstream/be on android.

From what I'm hearing from various manga communities on the net it's mainly from twitter and 2ch that the positive reactions are coming from, as well as reactions for being a manga that normally wouldn't be in something like WSJ, lol. It doesn't mean a lot in the scheme of things if the series can't follow up on the initial first chapter or so.

Make sure to follow the artists Twitter @DemizuPosuka

I honestly do hope they keep all 3 Jump Starts in US jump, since the reception had been really great there. I hope they also added Astra, but sadly, it doesn't seem like they'd do it.

Yeah, that's the one.

Webcomic is another thing, webtoons are specifically the vertical strips meant to be read on cellphones.

Yeah, even tho it shares the name of the brand, it just became what the vertical style is referred to.

Podcasting is honestly the thing that makes the best comparison, since you don't even need to be on iTunes to start a podcast today.

Toriko will have an unsatisfying ending, if its current developments are anything to go by. Terribly rushed.

pretty much

basically everyone got a deadline hammer smacked at them

some series had completed enough stuff to compensate while some other series were too vast in scope and therefore will not have a fulfilling ending

I mean Toriko skipped out on 5 arcs due to this deadline and on top of that will also skip unaswered stuff like the other universes, prisons, the rest of the gourmet corp, a satisfying moment for each heavenly Kings, full progress and growth of Toriko's other demons, etc...

I keep reading wsj as the wall Street journal

you aren't alone lol

mix the two so much since I frequently use both

Jitsu wa Watashi wa 138

I'm pretty sure Akari is top tier in manga power rankings.

Just when you think she'd lose to someone she'd get a text from a friend with a picture of the engagement ring their fiance just proposed to them with and Akari'd destroy her opponent.

We should start measuring Manga Power Levels in Akari Marriage Attendances.

jitsu wa watashi wa 138

Sure, it must be the pervert power. Also, I think Akari is about to into rampage mode.

Maou-jou de Oyasumi 4 - 5

The princess is slowly destroying everything. She may as well be the demon king.
