I started reading Golden Kamuy because all y'all talk about it but I was suddenly struck by the fact that this may be the only manga I've ever read that actually mentions, let alone has as characters, Ainu people.

I know it's not surprising considering Japan's general treatment of the Ainu but what other manga actually mentions them? What high school manga has ever had an Ainu student? Or an Ainu character? I think Native Americans get more representation in manga than Ainu people.

Well he's already confessed to the female lead which makes this infinitely more interesting then Nisekoi ever was. I'm just now sure how this lasts very long there doesn't seem to be much for the story to grow in a meaningful way.

Promised Neverland 4

Hardcore deathflags for Norman, I'm kinda hoping he sticks around since the core 3's dynamic has grown on me in this chapter.

My Hero Academia, One Piece, Black Clover, and World's Trigger were all solid

If this ending has done one thing well it's make Aracia look like the biggest douche on the planet. His status as a great shonen villain is really only hurt by his limited exposure before this rushed finale.

The whole shitty situation with the Ainu was the author's primary motivation for writing Golden Kamuy, wasn't it? I know the chapters even have citations.

So let's go with Oyasumi PunPun and Kimi no Iru Machi (I enjoy masochist/sadist experiences I suppose), but there are many more I can't remember.

Oh Azumanga Daioh of course, nearly forgot that.

Nozoki Ana is fun too, though it goes on for too long. I probably wouldn't mention it if I could recall what mangas I've finished but here ya go.

Stolen Eyeshield 21 from cntr, can't believe I forgot that.

Ranma 1/2, that's the first I remember having (besides checking some French Dragon Ball volumes here and there) since they translated it to Portuguese.
Unfortunately they never finished the translation and I didn't get all the volumes anyway.

Favorite Character?
Hana from Prison School, the mix of innocence with lack of self-awareness for her action always amuses me, and her relationship with Kiyoshi is great, particularly seeing her grow to become attached to him and slowly realizing it.

Favorite Scene?
This one is difficult, particularly because I'm sure I'm forgetting any.
Hana and Kiyoshi kissing in Prison School comes to mind, Guts vs Griffith as does Merry burning down (Though technically I saw that on the anime).

Takamura defeating Hawk is Ippo is another one that just hits you right in the feelings.

Aw, I've followed the thread(s) for a while now and couldn't overcome my laziness to actually post in it, so thanks for pushing me, lol. Actually, I've got a little problem with it since there seem to be more spoilers than opinions. And I love opinions and hate spoilers. But here you go. I don't wanna write too big lists (who wants to check out all those titles, from multiple users?) They're in order, though, and deserve the word "favorite".

Favorite Character?
Phew, hard question. Characters are one of the most important qualities for a manga to me. Most recent one is Morgiana from Magi. Also Guts from Berserk. Love badass characters I guess.

Favorite Scene?
Another tough one. Eventually the very end of Naru Taru Vol. 6 (confrontation with Kaidzuka). Most recently Ali Baba in a pinch (Magi Vol. 22, ch. 210, damn as well as all neighboring chapters).

Favorite Artists?
Berserk's Miura, Otomo and Akira Toriyama are the most talented in my opinion, although the latter two feel a bit too mundane for my taste. Also greatly recommended are artists that impress with their distinctive and excellently individual styles: Tsutomu Nihei (Blame!), Hiroyuki Asada (Letter Bee), Junji Ito (Uzumaki)

Favorite Writers?
Probably none. I've yet to see an artist who managed to put two works in my favorites list. Creating a true standout seems to be a once in a lifetime thing. But to mention some names, I respect Osamu Tezuka for his huge and diverse output, all while maintaining quality. Akira Toriyama had two heavy hitters with Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball. If you like rom-coms, I can greatly recommend Kazurou Inoue. Both of his manga I know, Midori's Days and Sexy Puzzle are excellent. He's very good in creating fun characters.

Series that almost made you quit manga?
None. Eating rotten food has also never made me quit eating.
