Really, I was prepared for Kochikame to outlive the author with guest writers doingone-offs or short arcs.
Some people just have that kind of work ethic. I'd imagine that he's he's been work shopping this story for years if he's already talking about it.
I wonder how much LN self insert protag they can make the teacher.

When I checked out the manga and synposis I thought it be one of those club manga with ridiculous amounts of female fanservice and harem that i'd inevitably drop a few chaters it. Instead what i was greeted with with pure and utter hilariouty filled to be brim with naked men (mostly gruff ,anly) shit is normal male college hijinks cranked up to 15. The generic fujohsi style pretty boy otaku killed me. This is nothing subdued about this manga haven't laughed this much in a while

Wow, Kochikame was always one of those series you'd think would run to infinity like JoJo, Hajime no Ippo, Golgo 13 or Detective Conan.
I'm a few chapters in Ajin-chan wa Kataritai and it's pretty fun. The character art for the anime makes it look trashy, but fortunately, it's not like that. It has some "indecent" humor, but it's used moderately and in a funny, rather than a sexual, way.

Yeah, Demi-chan is about a teacher who has a (non-sexual) interest in monsters and examines them like a scientist as he teaches at a school with a few monster girls and a succubus teacher. It's pretty much just a slice of life, exploring aspects of the monsters and how they interact with society and what makes them tick through the teacher asking them questions or helping with their problems and such. It's pretty cute and stays very innocent and charming as the girls have a crush on the teacher but he's a good guy and not a shitbag. No fan-service at all and the succubus teacher actually dresses as toned down as possible because of her powers and the complications that arise from them. So she's a responsible adult.

Damn kind of thought he'd keep doing Kochikame till the day he died. So many series that have been staples in Jumps library have been coming to an end over the past few years, Gintama seems like it'll probably be next.
Also ya that visual for Demi-chan is awful, hopefully the adaption will be ok, but my exceptions are certainly not high if this is any indication.

Kochikame ending was a real shocker to me. I thought Akimoto would still be drawing it until he died.

I've never read Kochikame but I did read a crossover of Dragon Ball and Kochikame where Ryo somehow stumbles upon Freeza who he tries to arrest for parking violations, then Freeza tries to kill him before realizing he is a gag character and thus completely immortal
Yeah i read that too, it was for the 30th anniversary of the manga.
You should know by now you can't kill Duke Togo. If he tried to kill himself by shooting himself in the head, his reflexes would kick in and he would dodge the bullet.

Was a good manga for the first 100 or so chapters, but sadly falls apart quite baldy during the final arc. I understand the MC is supposed to good-hearted character who believes in the good in children, but what happens in this final arc and how he reacts to is just painful to read. His bullheadedness to his code is just infuriating, oh hey all the murders and attacks were on my friends, let me take a fucking bullet for the big bad since he can't be such a bad guy even though he is the fucking cause of all this.

I was skimming through World Trigger since I stopped reading it during that first invasion arc with the dudes that had horns and I was sadly disappointed.... the series didn't even change on bit...
They're still at the town?
Another invasion happened apparently.... some cool down tournaments and now they are doing another tournament again... at the bloody same town that they never leaved.
It is literally going back from step one, to step 2, back to step one again....
It literally feels like a glorified tower defence manga with waves of enemies and added bonus rounds where you face each other before the next wave appears.

For something that started out about finding recycled porn mags, it took a hard turn as the sci-fi elements began to appear.

I mean they established very clearly that outside of Yuga the rest of his team clearly isn't ready for the dangers of these other worlds but through the squad battle stuff they're rapidly getting there in a race against time. Also why exactly is it a big problem that they've stayed in one town so far the story hasn't really mandated a reason for them to go somewhere else and even then nobody buy Yuga is even strong enough to do so and in the lore the neighbors always appear in this one town anyways. I'd also argue the series didn't find it's stride until it introduced the squad battles. The mc team is fairly close to making the away team and once they do we'll get an arc set in other places there's no reason to betray the story and skip a bunch of development just to get to a big finale wt hasn't been canceled like Toriko or Bleach so the guy has the time to do things the way he wants to and most people really enjoy this more then the monster invasion stuff.
More like Sherlock Holmes.
I get the impression that a lot of people expected a more Adventure focused plot from World Trigger. Personally, I'm comfortable with the pace of the manga right now. The author has done a good job establishing the importance of current events while reassuring the audience that a change of scenery is coming and building the stakes for that.

That was a rather underwhelming debut there. Got totally outclassed and it seemed like a lot of her mental progress towards battles was lost over the past couple chapters. I would have at least wanted her to realize and adapt the situation a bit before getting thrown off. Sure you have to establish the pro players as a larger threat than the school ones, but this was a bit much to be honest.

on the other hand, at least i didn't bet Akagi end this year, since there's a chance there could be a 1 or 2 volume of epilogue detailing Akagi life after Washizu match.
