From what I've gathered, season 2's compressing things enough as it is, and when they're introducing new Spirits with each arc it's inevitable that the comparatively minor roles will suffer. She's probably my 3rd favourite behind Kurumi and Origami (I haven't started on S2 yet), but I'd be hard pressed to dispute that she has the least potential / significance of the primary cast.

I can't say I agree with the Chairman or Kiyoshi, but damn if that wasn't a fine answer. This series of chapters may be one of my favourite things in manga. The Chairman is amazing.

Psyren V15 - v16 [end]
A good read while on the ride to and from Liberty University graduate commencement.
Volume 15 had a good fight when Ageheha became Melchez but largely the whole Siren area plot committed one of the largest crimes in stories, that is the typical, when things go to space then you know there was a problem with writing. The whole Ouroboros thing being an otherworldly entity set on penetration and suckling all of Earth's resources was just really too difficult to believe and accept. Sure it was potentially able to be thought that he had planted the seeds for this in the past, but it was just way too sudden of a reveal and resolved too quickly (or rather not even there as everyone was just sent back to modern times). Final volume getting it back on track was acceptable but largely hated how most side characters were kicked to the side, Kirisaki seemed like he didnt do anything of not in these final volumes (and was even revealed that Iwashiro wanted to kill him off in an early volume, he had the best development and ability).
Psyren was a good action series from JUMP just cursed with this final arc that could have been done better, perhaps a the series needed a second look in the planning stage for going to siren their final time as that seemed to be where the series started to falter. The forced pointless romance of love declaration additionally suggests and highly implies that things were haphazardly thrown together at this point in time.
Quality wise, this time Viz didnt forget to clean an entire page, so for that I am glad.

It's a lot more likely that the author just rushed it because of editors until it ended "naturally" on his say. If I remember right it ended between cancellation batches.
Psyren was sadly cancelled in Jump which is why the last arc is so rushed. I imagine all the same stuff would have happened if it hadn't been canned but it would have had more time to properly develop. I disagree 100% with bolded. The romance was something I really liked in Psyren and never felt forced to me at all.

Sudden? They liked each other from the start, I thought that was obvious. I always felt like Psyren handed the romance aspect far better than pretty much every other shounen at the time.
