Without the obvious visual hints and the slightly seedy background music, Kurumi initially comes off as more delicate and sweet here, compared to the overtly calculating seductress she's portrayed as in the anime. It increases the impact of the scenes where her more, uh, sociopathic personality traits manifest themselves, because they feel like more of a deviation from how she 'usually' is. I noticed that Shido doesn't learn how large her actual body count is here either, which is probably a blessing given how he reacts to her playing Break the Targets at the end of their date.
Speaking of dates, my rage at how their special day together turned into a 4-way rendezvous has now been equaled on realising that Kurumi and Origami's moment of intimacy was toned down for the anime. It's utterly unforgivable, even more so because neither of them are likely to end up with Shido so I need all the ammunition I can get to ship them together.
The rooftop confrontation remains the most enjoyable part of the story so far in both formats. Felt slightly sorrier for Mana this time around, though I'll still never forgive her for

I've been on a DAL / waifu high since finishing the anime last week! It's the only LN I've read (not really into them) so I can't say how it matches up to others, although the anime's definitely worth watching. Also it has Tsunako art, which > not Tsunako art.

It skips to the third year in chapter 4, where the MC dies at the graduation ceremony, and when he dies, it loops back to the first year, and only his childhood friend remembers (I think?). These last few chapters show that this time around hes doing club activities and meeting new people, but I agree it is moving really fast. Not sure why unless he's going to die again.

Good short story collection offering a different aspect to the field that I like. The story that made up the final extra was pretty hilarious with the megane that ended up breaking and then having to be personally escorted by his close friend home. It was just really sweet seeing that much care taken, some handholding, and blushing, and then the surprise at the apartment. Really memorable. The baseball story in this one was great too, liked her comment about it in the epilogue.

The previous chapter was funny because of what he was watching before his friend walked in on him getting excited from seeing the video he stared in. This chapter felt more like an extra since it was just their conversation on the bus afterwards to the trip, but did have a revelation reached though in a hilarious manner with lots of blushing and arguing. Cant wait to get to v2.

Decided to catch up on this now that it's almost fully scanned and boy did it go in a direction I wasn' expecting. The twist at the end of chapter 4 was great. The childhood friend girls time loop is way more tragic compared to the other girls. It's pretty obvious how this is going to end but I kind of hope it goes for a suprise tragic ending.

I like this. A lot more low-key than I thought it was going to be, considering the body swapping and all. But it focuses less on the gender stuff and more on how they actually deal with literally switching lives (different families, friends, etc.). Though now that they're in middle school i guess the gender thing is prob. gonna come up more often. And I may be totally wrong, but I feel like the glasses dude has a thing for the girl. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out, if true...
