All that marvelous dancing.

No idea how I feel about the new rival or whatever.

World Trigger 5-21

Yeah this has been really enjoyable so far though I feel things are almost moving a bit too fast, I kind of wish we could have seen a bit more development with Osamu and Chika before Border discovered Yuuma's true identity which fast tracked the plot into them becoming a team. Despite that I'm still really enjoying it, the action scenes work well and the characters have some great chemistry and work off each other well.

Tasogare Otome x Amnesia Overall Thoughts

I find myself lacking in words more than I usually find myself. While I do enjoy Yuuko quite a bit, I find myself not really satisfied at the ending, even though I had wanted them to be happy ever after. After the major discovery happening sometime in the middle (i think?), having it being explored at the end took a lot of the oomph that might have there. I know it was there to show how Yuuko felt and to fill in the other details but it didn't really have the power of an ending.

The individual mysteries were fine and I don't think I ever felt as though they were bad. I enjoy Yuuko enough to give this a good rating but the fact that I'm left with more an empty (not from it ending) feeling than a resolute one (be it happiness that there is a happy ending, sadness from what happened to Yuuko or something else).

I enjoyed myself while reading it and recommend it. I just hope you have a better feeling at the end than I did.

Nisekoi 123
I think this panel is my favorite of the chapter, if only for the fact that it's made me realize that the creative spark that attracted me to Komi Naoshi's work in the first place isn't completely dead yet. It's that undercurrent of possibility and discovery and dreams that makes his stories so damn good. I hope it doesn't get snuffed out again, but who am I kidding, it's Nisekoi.

Also Ruri's monologue was interesting, but she's pretty misguided, I think. Once the pen's to the paper, those words don't belong to you anymore. Although you may have your own interpretation, and are using those words to try to explain that interpretation, it doesn't necessarily mean your interpretation is "correct". The ambiguity of language opens up the possibility of many interpretations, none of which are more valid than others. I think once it's written, a story has a life of its own. So yeah, I'm with the whole "authorial intent is irrelevant" school of thought.

Finally, fuck Raku. This is the second time he's recommended that someone just passively wait it out, the shithead. Stalling won't help anyone, for fuck's sake. It's thanks to him that the resolution to this chapter felt so shallow. "If I can't find it, I just have to search for it" doesn't really solve the worry of "what if I never find it" I think.

I wrote entirely too much for a manga that isn't worth it, for a chapter featuring the worst character. What am I doing with my life.

Best way to fix Nisekoi:

turn it into a battle shonen

Raku is shot in the head
recovers but forgets what happened the previous week as he conveniently develops convenient plot based weekly amnesia
new girl every week pairs up with him
except for onodera

I hope that Toriko goes back into its diverse arcs again

like the Gourmet Casino, Gourmet Pyramid and Melk arc

I really liked the whole Gourmet Casino story

was reading it again with my volume collection and man this series is great when reading it comfortable in chunks
without a glaring screen in front of you

people say books are dying but I'd rather have a book version then a digital one

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
About the upcoming One Piece hiatus
Turns out it's a scheduled hospital visit, not another case of collapsing from overwork.

Oh God, this is the bestest manga. The Jojo Stand battle... :lol

Prison School

It's like reverse Nana to Karou. 5 stars.

Isn't it the over work that has led him to having a scheduled hospital visit though <.<

That was last time. The overwork landed him in the hospital.
It's possible this is a follow-up of some sorts.

It's hard to tell, there's been so much miscommunication and lost in translation...

Please chap, don't accuse me of such thing.
I haven't even read any Koshi's works beside Personant
I apologize, it was wrong of me to assume anyone would like Onodera enough to be her fan.
Personant was good, but you have to read Double Arts. It's required reading.

I would be okay with this.

But really, it should just be keyblade battles where the winner gets to stick their keyblade through Raku's heart
and therefore kill him

Okobore Hime to Entaku no Kishi 7
Damn, I didn't know Duke was so smooth.

In some random ass chapter, everything seems normal, harem hijinks are ensuing as normal. Suddenly, a hooded figure with a keyblade shows up and pierces Onodera through the chest while whispering "you've gotten too close to him". Turns out it was a new girl who's a yandere. Everyone weeps for Onodera but move on quickly cuz who gives a shit, old lady (from the shrine) comes and teaches the girls how to turn their keys into keyblades. Haru inherits her sisters keyblade to go and get revenge (even though deep down she's happy shes not in the way anymore). Oh yeah, Raku is basically the princess that needs to be saved, the girls go out to save him from the darkness.

Its basically an inverted KH since the princesses are keyblades wielders.

World Trigger 20-32

Whelp the first major battle of the series was pretty damn awesome, started at the end of chapter 24 and was just a lot of fun. I can't think of a lot of battle shonen that do team based combat as well as World Trigger has so far been one of the better examples that I've read. The battle also does a great job in explaining how the different powers work.

Also I have to say this series reminds me a lot of early Bleach in how it started off as monster of the week but has slowly moved towards soul reaper vs soul reaper trigger vs trigger combat, but that's okay because the monster of the week stuff was just okay.

Japanese pixiv artists, pls spontaneously become fluent in English and make a doujin out of this. I need it

Bocchi na Bokura no Renai Jijou 2
Well, they're getting along. That's good, but damn if I don't want my romantic comedy leads to always be at each other's throats. I guess that's not going to happen here, but at least it's still shaping up to be cute.

Also the Ichijou-kun and Chitose... Can I not escape Nisekoi today??

Also World Trigger has a mix of early Naruto in there too with its emphasis on team based combat and defining the rules of its world and its battle system.

It honestly feels like World Trigger took the best elements of early Bleach and Naruto and mixed them together to make something that while maybe not incredibly original is still entertaining and worth checking out

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"

Best way to fix Nisekoi is Raku getting drunk with Ruri and they have sex and have to explain it to the rest of the harem afterwards. It will be like Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien bit more hilarious.

We all know onodera is trash girl
Onodera's the type of girl that would usually get killed off in the beginning of a series to show how much serious business it is even though it ain't. But sadly Nisekoi isn't a battle manga yet so we're stuck with her.

The best way to 'fix' Nisekoi is to excise Kosaki altogether. Most of the frustration of the series could be fixed by removing the "unrequited love with no good reason not to confess" nonsense that shackles Raku to the ground while other far more interesting things happen around him.

Of course, I'm one of those guys who find the increasingly hamfisted and acrobatic attempts at maintaining the status quo despite all reasonable logic to the contrary to be amusing rather than frustrating, so that's less of a fix for me and more a convenient excuse to get rid of Kosaki.

Lesson learned: don't judge a manhwa by its cover, but do judge it by virtue of it being a manhwa. This was poorly drawn and told.

Also this author doesn't even know how chess works. So fucking disappointing.

edit: Also I don't think it's possible to get those kinds of wounds from studying so hard

Also he has a dumb haircut.
