So this is definitely not like what the original artwork and summary was about, either Asano changed his plan or this is just before the inevitable timeskip if that will ever happen. So far this is like the beginning of Punpun or at least feels like it, I don't know I can't read Japanese. I wonder what is the deal with the spaceship (pic)

Mushishi Vol 1-10
My initial run with Mushishi was the first 26 episodes of the anime. I really enjoyed it, it was quite chill and really great. I'm currently watching s2 of Mushishi and enjoying it greatly as well. It was a bit weird at first, not having the sound and color I was used to in Mushishi. After the first few stories I got used to it and enjoyed the manga as well. It was certainly interesting to read the stories before I get to see them animated.
Overall, I think the anime does it better as the atmosphere that the anime provides really does make the experience all the richer but it certainly does not mean you should pass up the manga. I highly recommend both.

Skimming through this mostly because I recognize the artist from his hentai stuff.
I'm not entirely familiar with the genre but never before have I seen a protagonist so completely apathetic towards his harem. Nearly every panel it's like he wishes he was somewhere else. It's almost hilarious just for that fact.

Have you read his previous works before this? I don't think he draws anymore but all of his works has similar smut elements.
