There will probably be a few chapters to conclude it but this was the last match.
There's probably going to be a couple of chapters to do some conclusion stuff but unless they decide to do a match for 2nd place yes it's finally over.

IIRC the entire tournament was for a spot on the council and Erina is in the tenth chair so i could see a fight tbh.
Unless it no longer the case (or maybe glasses guy somehow gets an L by losing his spot to Erina and Curry Guy finishes him off)

Honestly I'm disappointed that Soma lost but I'm fine with it. I trust this series to do some good development for him off of it. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes now.
It's nice to be wrong about who I thought would win as well. Shows me the author at least can keep people on their toes. We always knew a shokugeki where he could be expelled Soma will always win but at least now a regular battle could result in losses.

)I'm actually pretty sure that there is no prize for winning at all. That said it wouldn't suprise me if Akira challenged Erina to a Shokugeki.

Soma losing doesn't bother me even close to as much as Akira winning does. I guess that's what makes you a good villain, but hes not very interesting to me because he's a jerkass for no legitimate reason. I just feel like whatever they wanted to prove here was botched by having Hayama win because its cheap heat to just make him an arrogant jerkass for no real reason. We at least have an explanation for Kurokiba being a dick.

Eh i think he was the best option tbh but yea the fact he's an arrogant jerkass (when he doesn't need to be) sours the entire thing. Dude already had the advantage of having something/someone to truly fight for, didn't need to give him the other horseshit in an effort to create a villain/rival.
And Dark Soma is a shitstain so he can fuck off until he gets better character development.

I have no problem with Soma losing. I think this is going to set up for him to fight his way into the council later on. the concept of why Hayama win makes sense as something Soma needs to develop. He always looks at himself in reference to his father or his opponent. Never really develops his own specific style besides being really good.

Soma losing means that it'll be long before Soma vs Erina Arc, and she still become benchwarmer girl
Put that aside, I think the author want to put Soma in similar situation like his father, showing how much cunning and hardwork could get them as far against natural talent. This is assuming that Dojima have more natural talent and Soma's Father have similar trait and skill like his son during his highschool time. Anyway, for manga like this losing isn't really a big deal as some shokugeki between side characters could be interesting too.

Risa is getting creepier with time as well. But her plan to wait for the main couple to break off might actually pay off.
Shame that Shou seems to be out of the story, she's actually been a likeable character for the most part.

TLR vanilla is honestly kind of boring; it's kind of a more fanservice-laden Nisekoi, not least of which because they're both mainstream Jump "romance." In some ways, the hiatus and the more interesting (both in terms of plot and PLOT) return of the series in TLR Darkness is the best thing that happened to it, by making Momo into a complete character and, in the process, making her the best character in the series.
In short, just wait until you get to Darkness. The fanservice is like two steps, if that, away from being actual porn, but there's actually something of substance behind it somehow.

I can't believe people are upset about Akira taking this. Mind you, I'm not saying I'm 100% ok with it, I just felt like they were setting this up with both the abrupt ending of last chapter and the whole "cook for people you care for" angle that was slowly getting played up through the last portion of the top 8.
With that said, can we skip to the cooldown arc now? I think I'm kinda fatigued with this arc moreso for how long it took to reach this conclusion than for the actual conclusion.
I also just realized that we're going to have to deal with a shit load of smug Erina again. Yuck. :lol
Edit: I also kinda feel bad for Kurokiba. He got bodied in a match where he was had both the specialty and combined experience/drive to survive/win advantages by another "natural talent". At this point, Alice, Kurokiba (and Nikumi) should just change residence to Polar Star and lab monster it up for the next big event.

He's just a sucky annoying character. I would have preferred Kurokiba just win. I really don't care or even want Soma to win there. It would have been even dumber considering the chapter that preceded it if Soma just won.
