Shimabukuro was already an established Jump author. He actually started his first series at the exact same time as One Piece. Seikimatsu Leader den Takeshi
Aaaand if you thought Toriko's art was bad. I'm surprised he lasted 5 years, probably would have gone longer if he wasn't arrested for soliciting an underage prostitute.

I'm fiending for a new Breaker chapter.
We need to see Shi-Woon surpass his teacher. This might be the best fight of the series. Shi-Woon's ki center is restored but he's tired. Then again he has bottomless stamina so we'll see. His master is under the influence of drugs so this should be a good fight.

funnily enough you'd think a series that are a mostly a bunch of dudes would garner interest with that gender.... I guess its the art

When you have designs such as these and compare them to Toriko's you can see why the series lacks a female fanbase. Like muscular is cool and all but being too muscular to the point where you look a bit deformed there's definitely gonna be a problem.

You know I find surprising on how most of the fanbase of Gintama is mostly female, but than again the series mostly has male fanservice compared to female.

It definitely has a lot more bishounens for the girls. Not too many female characters in the "waifu" status.
Although it is amusing just because how crude some of the humor is or how some of the guys act.

is it? I can see that seeing as there is a ton of art for the guy characters

mmmmmm the only way I can see Toriko gaining a female fanbase is for the anime to be rebooted and for it to choose a art-style similar to the current style it has
of course the author occasionally does the buff stuff but you know that is all just for comedic.... shonen-esque reasons

I guess that is why the most popular heavenly king out of the 4 is coco (for the atom sized female fanbase that it currently has) due to him being the less muscular one out of the 4
anyway you can't reach high popularity if you only attract one gender group...... I don't want any non comedic fanservice BS though

This statement also implies to male gender groups too... there are those who read a series for its plot and then there are those who read it for just character fan grouping...... then there are the other people with other reasons

I mean there are literary people who I know that just know a series just because of one guy/girl character and their pretty looks

if you want your series to become even more successful you'd have to find a way to reel in that groupie group

Japanese humor is very crude to begin with,
they are very open and mature when it comes to certain topics.
When you have a penis day parade and people can pet said 30 foot penis, you know you don't hold back on anything.

Seriously doubt that's happening. At most, the fight'll be cut short, and Shiwoon will be recognized as a legitimate threat to Chunwoo in the future.

Chunwoo can use that Black Origin Threshold mess too... He just hasn't looked quite as Super Saiya-jin while doing it thus far. :p

I somehow never looked at it this way. I always assumed the clothes would just strip off by themselves whenever he was impressed with the dish. Did they ever picture him grabbing his clothes? I can't remember.

Is it almost there yet. I dropped it a while back and will only come back if they all start fighting with key blades.

Anyways tokyo ghoul is the shit. Don't know why I dropped it early but I'm probably going to power through and finish the whole first series tonight.

Nothing? Nisekoi can be kind of funny. The only time plot occurs is literally when the characters are attempting to restore the status quo.
