I didn't read it but a friend told me about all the weird shit that went on so I'm glad I skipped it!
One Piece is still good, but the format that Oda adheres to is terrible, and probably the reason why he has to go on so many breaks. There's no reason why entire chapters should be devoted to side characters fighting. So many different things shouldnt be happening at the same time either. (Zoro was literally fighting against the same enemy for months because Oda switching between viewpoints) The lack of focus on the other SH has been sucktastic as well.

). Also she should improve like the rest of them.Yea he was hyped or at least his appearances hinted at him being a major player (his crazy high bounty at the time of his reveal and the whole thing about bounties being frozen due to shibukai/warlord status as examples).

World Building for me is > then Characters even when they're all in one place.... it can over stay its welcome like Naruto's war arc
Oda's MarineFord arc wasn't overly long plus a majority of these people we were seeing fight for the first time so it kept it fresh

Seems like Erina and Tadokoro get along pretty well. Presumably because they're the same character and defer to her in the same way.
I'm kind of hoping once we see someone higher in the ranks than Erina we'll see her put in her place a bit. Having her be God of Cooking and nobody better is a little boring. She's supposed to be a rival character, not the end boss. I mean, I don't know, maybe she's gonna pull a Gary Oak and be like, "sorry I beat the No. 1 of the Elite

Lasted just enough for one volume. I think it started literally at the bottom and never got anywhere away from it.
The art also looked baddddd and using nothing but soccer terms didn't help

Should I read this? I love text heavy stories cause it just adds more to the depth of the series, if done correctly of course.
10 chapters? That's kind of impressive. Must be some supreme horseshit if even Sporting Salt & co managed to outlast it.

Only read the first chapter (it was not redrawn and probably not great translation), it seemed like pile of shit. It was surprising that the editors at Jump even let it out in the state it was in.

It seems to me that it's possible for 2 of the new Jump Start series to survive. I'm really curious on which series won't get axed.
Also I'm still suprised to this day on how World Trigger never got axed because to me it seems like a series that's just bland.

Huh, so it was. Thought it was part of the bunch of sports titles new series but that was Sporting Salt.
Looks like it was part of the group where all the new series got cancelled.
At least Buu saga was more interesting to read than watch. A lot of throwbacks to enjoy along with a return of comedy.
But yeah, you could tell he was just BSing his way once the tournament portion was over.
And it still somehow managed to get a debut? I'll never understand how the screening process works.

I think you should. It's more the subject matter that appeals to me. The main character is a professionally diagnosed tsundere, and in this story that's a genuine mental illness.
This isn't mere "B-baka" tsundere, she stomps and hospitalizes a kid!
She also slowly falls in love with a chubby nice kid who kinda looks like Bobby Hill
lol this sounds like exploring the meta within the meta of mangas
