What is your currently on going top weekly Shonen Jump series? (As in the chapter releases weekly)....... series on Hiatus can count if you want them too (just so I can get an idea of overall sense on readers opinions)

Nisekoi (because I hate myself)
Boku no Hero Academia
Gakkyu Hotei
World Trigger (leaning towards dropping because it's bored me this entire year)

Hey MangaGAF!

I just want to get a synopsis of people's reading preferences for Jumps ongoing serialization....

1) Shokugeki no Soma
2) One Piece
3) Nisekoi

Gintama I'm not caught up with in the manga, so I didn't include it into the ranking. Some of the other manga I'm way behind on, so I can't really rank them. Soma's my favorite so far. The pacing's pretty good, it's different from other current weekly jump, and it's been interesting. One Piece hasn't been too interesting right now, but it's still One Piece. I genuinely like Nisekoi, but those filler chapters are always a drag. Besides the current story, nothing has been interesting in Nisekoi besides the Ruri x Shuu chapters and that Haru arc way back.

HxH would've been on this list if I counted hiatuses.

You can have your list to be the top 5 or top 3

For me it is (with a hiatus series included)

1.HXH T_T
2.Toriko
3.One Piece
4.Gintama
5.Shokugeki no Soma

Note :I also read Bleach, World trigger, Etc.... but I don't overly like those series currently..... if Naruto was still ongoing it wouldn't be on my top 5

Of course things change as series gain momentum or lose momentum in overall plot and interest

1. Shokugeki no Soma
2. Assassin Classroom
3. HxH
4.Nisekoi
5. Boku no hero academia

Id have nisekoi higher cause I love how he draws Raku, but the writer just making it extremely odd how Raku already liked Onodera but will somehow choose Chitoge makes it just dumb and pretty annoying to read.

Fuuka 52

This was basically a power of friendship chapter.

Jitsu wa Watashi wa 72

Mikan should just stomp on the glasses next time.

The school trip is going to be nuts.

Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan 12

New girl and she's already three steps into the harem.

His love for Stella is pure!

1. Bleach.

The rest are garbage-tier. Aizen the literal God.

I received the fifth volumeof Natsu no Zenjitsu without realizing it was the last one. I don't have the courage to start reading. I feel like I'll cry.

There's really no harem, dude's pretty dedicated and he's not constantly swarmed by girls vying for his affection

:( Tell me it ends with Akira. Even if it's a lie.

I think they're almost done scanslating volume 5.

as in?
...spoilers are fine

Edit: Of course you can spoil tag it if you don't want other people to know

Chitoge is being forced to move back to America. Raku suggests that she moves in with him, Claude catches wind of this and locks her up until the plane is ready. Rakue breaks into their mansion but Claude confronts him and that's were we are at right now. Also Shu asked Raku if he really loves Onodera or is he in love with Chitoge right before this all went down.

mmm I see....
it seems that a Chitoge arcs actually have developments compared to the rest of the girls
I guess I'll just skim through it to the recent arc

I ain't that far back anyway

We need to link you the Ruri x Shuu chapters too. Those were actually good since the author will let those characters develop and progress.

Has there ANY harem series where the end-result is actually *not* the expected girl that wins?

Like Ichigo 100%?

Because I just think how nice it'd be if in Jitsu the triumphant girl to be Mikan or the Class President. It won't happen I guess, but it'll be nice.

I dropped it at around 120 something probably late 120's.... likely 127 or 128

Edit: Oh man is there a ton of rubbish fluff

skip....... skip....... skip

looks like I'll be able to skip a TON of things before this current arc

The World God Only Knows kind of did that. There's really no expectations to begin with, but the end pair feels like the one many never expected.

and thats it

Jitsu wa Watashi wa 72

The glasses being back was pretty good. Also, can't wait for the field trip.

...I think bad memories resurfaced when you guys talked about that

(And the name's Chihiro, btw)

Kono Shima Ni Wa Midara De Jaaku Na Mono Ga Sumu 11

Kind of a weak chapter, if you ask me, other than seeing that someone might betray the MC (duh)

I felt like Chihiro was easy to pick out when you realized how Keima felt right after that arc. I figured it was either her, or he chose no one.

I'm not sure if I read anything that had a surprising pairing like Ichigo 100%.
To-Love-Ru's actually going to surprise me if it doesn't end with harem end or Lala though lol

So apparently I was beyond 130 it is just I guess I couldn't remember some things (I wonder why :P)

anyway found the main interesting parts and I am officially caught up....... I find it amusing that the plot only develops
when Chitoge and Raku are mainly involved
I guess that is just the authors choice

Brah even though it is a fact that she was best girl, there were still many that had a rage meltdown over her winning.

Though I have to say it was undoubtedly amazing just for those tears.

One of my friends was an Ayumi shipper and absolutely lost it. It was great, especially because from the end of the goddess arc where she confesses and he dumps her unceremoniously I thought, "you know what, I bet Chihiro wins." And made a point of predicting her win from that point forward, usually on the basis of her being the only main girl who wasn't a goddess or a demon and, moreover, she was the only one besides Tenri who liked him before the events of the series. Being right was amazing.

Man, Kaminomi was a great series.

My expectation is Keima would choose no one and fulfill his life with a harem of 2D girls. So him choosing Chihiro, or any of the girls for that matter, bummed me out lol.

Tenri truly got screwed over.😌

Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer 03-04

Maybe cause this was a double volume, but I was surprised how quickly all the knights ended up assembling together. I expected it would take longer. :P

Pretty cool we're getting chapters about each knight so most of them are getting some sort of development. Though I guess with that out of the way, the battle will actually start.

Man, why are the knights who died the coolest.

Tenri truly got screwed over.😌

Honestly, if you go back and reread the series, Chihiro was always going to win. The series is absolutely littered with little hints that Keima had a thing for her from the beginning (even if he didn't completely realize it) and the same was true for Chihiro. As much as he foreshadowed it and the part where childhood friends never win, even though I like Tenri, I can't be too upset on her behalf. She never really made a play.

No I actually knew that Chihiro would win because out of all the girls she's the best fit for Keima, relationship wise. I was only saying that for Tenri due to the fact she always got screwed over which I found a bit sad and funny.

Hana and Alice 3
Finally they meet. Dimension and gravity doesn't seem to work normally in Hana room. Slightly weird? This is "normal" by Dowman Sayman standard

Spotted Flower 14

So, she's aiming for cosplay sex huh?

Jitsu Wa watashi wa 72

Glasses be gone. Oh boy, i know that i said shit just got real in previous chapter, but this time...it got even realer!

Keijo!!!! 22

As expected of our protagonist.

UQ Holder! 72

I know it was supposed to be a bad dream but let's set the record straight: Fate would totally smirk like a jerk he is regardless of dream or reality. he don't miss those opportunities, Akamatsu you fucking tease.

Touta having mad inner turmoil but it's to be expected considering last chapter's revelations...

How nice of crew to hold off unknown twat but at the same time, were they actually spared? they didn't even scratch her. We will see that one again soon I'm sure.

lol Kirie, the only thing you're accomplishing with your denials is checking them boxes in the doki doki checklist.

Boku no Hero Academia 33

Well that was fast, lol.

Hope we get more of this dude. He's a pretty interesting character for only being in a couple of chapters. Definite future villain material.

I forget the name, but I think it was Akame x Akane or something... That legitimately was one of my favorite things I had ever stumbled upon and made me go through Sayman's entire back catalog asap.

Ayame and Amane!

I'm a huge fan. It's basically got Dowman Sayman's pedigree for weirdness, but it's also surprisingly cute/sweet at times. Pity it's only 2 chapters per page, I can't get enough of it.

Long overdue on starting this one

Jitsu wa Watashi wa 1

Early on when starting this, I don't think the art is too great. Well, I suppose the art isn't bad itself, it's just a different style they're going for. I didn't like the main protagonist's gimmick on someone who's very transparent at the start, but I'm starting to see it work. Pairing him up with an incredibly dense girl and trying to hide a secret makes the gimmick pretty interesting. Guess I'll keep going with this one since people are saying it's like Nisekoi but better.

Finished reading Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso and I thought it wrapped pretty nicely and mostly convenient for the most part. Would of liked a time skip to see what they are doing a couple of years later.

The character art style will change greatly over time. Also the manga gains a lot more traction as more characters are introduced.
