I assume everyone who bothers to read anything Seo makes is a masochist.

The pain sometimes feels so good. Zweizer-senpai taught me that.

1. HxH (T_T)
2. Gintama
3. Food Porn (Shokugeki no Soma)
4. Assassination Classroom
5. One Piece

Phantom rank) HxX
1) Toriko
2) Boku no Hero Academia
3) Shokugeki no Soma
4) Bleach ( I actually never read it aside the Aizen battle and the last 10-15 chapters)
5) One Piece

There is something wrong with the two of you.

Well my favorite Jump series (JoJo) isn't in WSJ anymore. It moved to Ultra Jump and then had the best Part in the whole series lol

I too like Jojo more then some series on my top 5

I am guessing after a year and so of Hero Academia (if it is constantly good and not repetitive ) it could push up to be number 5 on my list

sadly OP is losing momentum for me currently.... Gintama could later take its spot

1. Gintama (For awhile I probably would have had haikyuu over it but honestly the recent gintama and even the love arc have completely blown me away in all aspects)
2. Haikyuu!! (super super hype always amazing)
3. Soma (election arc was super drag but is generally pretty enjoyable)
4. Ass Class (will probably overtake Soma at some point)
5. HxH (would probably change when actually going, maybe 3rd.)/Nisekoi (when I push away the not moving plot thoughts it's enjoyable for what it is)

Probably something like that.

Honorable mentions: One Piece (when it's good it's great, when it's stupid island repeat stuff it's basically bleach/naruto), My Hero Academia (for being decent enough so far),

Also read: Bleach (Is Bleach), Toriko (stuff that isn't the start is basically whatever/bluh), World Trigger (I'm like a billion chapters behind but what I read was basically whatever)

There is something wrong with the two of you.

OP has had a okay past 3 years between this arc going on to long and the meh/bad Fishman Island arc.

Keijo!!!!!!!! 22
Looks like Nozomi will be heading to face the 6th ranked after this battle, unless evil girl does something unexpected.

Wait are you reading the raws?

I've been up to date for weeks now raw wise, but don't know any of the dialogue. After Kate's breakdown, I feel completely affirmed in thinking that Prison School's subtitle should be "THE THIRST IS REAL AS FUCK."

I picked up Volumes 1-16 at a local store after hearing so much about it. After that I caught up all the way to Ch 169.

This is the first time I've legitimately binged on something all the way without any breaks and I have to say it was worth every moment.

Hiramoto has gotten 10x bolder with his art as well.

There's so much to say and I'm still trying to wrap my head around all that's happened.

Mari's meticulous planning is ridiculous. The fact that everything from the lies, to the cell phone, to forcing Hana to hate her and work with Kate was all according to plan just to blow of Kate. At the same time, Kate is just so naive and innocent while being a spoiled brat. There was never any way for her to win as Hiramoto established midway through the arc.

Still It's amazing how much foresight Mari has and how much of a control freak she is. The fact that she was able to pull this off is so weird since it contradicts her being fooled and beat by the boys.

Shingo is a dumbass for blowing off Anzu. No shit she's pissed off at you, she even gave you a chance and you threw it away for I❤WT

Kiyoshi even more so since he literally says in his head and realizes that he lays out the futon as if they were gonna do something dirty without even realizing, forgetting the reason he brought Hana to his room was to pee in front of her during the Sports Festival. Dude even wonders whether or not he should pee on the floor or the bed. I don't even know if he realizes how stupid/genius he is for unintentionally creating these risqué situations.

The entire internal monologue back and forth between Kiyoshi and Hana while they try to figure out the situation is adorable. Hana is so innocent and childish.

Mari/Hana/Kiyoshi/Andre are probably the highlights so far and I don't know who Kiyoshi should go for anymore.

Kurihara Rijichou got ridiculous game, the way he picks her up is so slick and smooth. Dude picks up a hitchhiker fresh from being stood up at her wedding and drives her around and sweet talking her like a damn boss. It's also ridiculously stupid and hilarious that the reason he drove off the cliff is because all he was thinking about was her ass as he was driving. Jesus this guy is a true assman.

In Jump?

I still I guess read Bleach, so Soma, Bleach, Nisekoi, Academia.

1 - Shokugeki no Souma
2 - World Trigger
3 - Black Clover (very interested in this series, hope they continue to translate)
4 - Boku no Hero Academia
5 - PSI Kusuo Saiki(scanlations of this are rare but it's so hilarious)
6 - Ansatsu Kyoushitsu(almost dropped, didn't read anything since chapter 110)
7 - Nisekoi (Dropped since chapter 50~60 tbh. Sometimes I read a chapter just to know how things are)

One Piece - Never read the manga. Dropped the anime after ~80 episodes.
Bleach - The same as above, but I watched the anime until episode ~130.

I think I only read 3 other series that are still running in WSJ. PSI Kusuo Saiki doesn't get scanned very often, Kagamigami just started and I'm so far behind in Toriko that I might as well have dropped it.

Kinda similar to mine with my favorite series (TLR) prematurely ending in WSJ before the series continued in Jump Square and becoming one of the greatest masterpieces to ever grace manga in the name of lewd.

idk about you guys but I can kinda feel that WSJ may be able to recover with their recent failures with new series

I think maybe Black Cover and that Cyborg thing may last longer then the usual failures we saw last year

Hero Academia is looking to be healthy as well

Gintama is likely ending which needs to get a replacement soon...... oh and Bleach I guess

I don't know what they need to recover from. They have a bunch of series that stuck.

what I mean is creating new series

last year in particular felt like the where losing their touch with new Shonen-esque series feeling kinda lame or like a copycat of something else that is successful

granted I know they have a ton of other sucessful series they could rely on but for me it just felt that WSJ was staying stagnant while other manga publishers where rising up with great series

Jump doesn't really need to recover from anything. Naruto ending was obviously a big loss but they'll still be earning money off it for many years to come anyway.

This is how WSJ has always worked. You probably aren't seeing the other publishers garbage series because no one cares about them so they don't get scanned or talked about. Jump series always get talked about and usually get at least one chapter scanned so you notice it more.

Jump could end up being just one chapter of One Piece weekly and it'll probably still sell like hotcakes. :p

I really need to resume learning moonrunes.
I'm gonna be taking a Japanese course this summer so hopefully that helps. Despite taking courses in high school for three semesters, they didn't really end up sticking in the long run.

Some of Dowman Sayman's short stories contain yanderes~
Quick, I need details. I've been going through Paraiso at the moment and have The End of Sexual Instinct and the Hydrogen Bomb currently lined up.

I miss HxH, tbh. Togashi is at his peak... Anyway!

Chihayafuru 141 anyone? Get into it. Ignore the bullshit romance, the best part of it is the sport (karuta).

Chihayafuru 141 - bombshell dropped.

Right? The first Taichi scene I LOVED. Really well done, imo.

Jump doesn't really need another (or one altogether) sales behemoth as long as it can keep the smaller series good.
Ya know kinda like in the '80s and the '90s.

It seems just like it always has - they cancel tons and tons of shit while constantly rotating new shit in that just gets canceled. The number of things that stick has always been really low.

There are a couple of them in The End of Sexual Instinct and the Hydrogen Bomb War (but I suggest you read Sexual Instinct and the Hydrogen Bomb War, its predecessor, first, if you can, as some stories allude back to it). There might be some in Nickelodeon as well, though I am less sure about this, and some characters from Oddman 11 and The Voynich Hotel could also be considered as such, albeit toned down.

This is pretty much the reason why the only noteworthy series that I actually enjoy reading is OnePiece and Gintama.

Fuck, it sucks that D-Gray Man switched Publishers and went on haitus.

Unlucky Boy Undead Girl (One-shot) by Tobita Sou

Nice one-shot about an extremely unlucky, to the point of being a collateral hazard, protagonist who is also somehow immortal, and a zombie girl meeting and sharing their circumstances. The story is nice, with a good mix of quirkiness and seriousness, the art is easy to the eyes with a a great range of emotions depicted, the mood and atmosphere are pretty balanced as well . Overall, a great short read that contains a bit of everything and executes them all pretty well.

Well they will have One Piece from now until Oda dies, I imagine so they're printing money there, although I also imagine they pay Oda shitloads of money.

Cyborg Roggy 3

Based Roggy, you'll never find a cool MC ride a little toy car.

I really want to know what the Original Augmentation is because this chapter left on a cliffhanger. It also seems that it affects Roggy in some way and man did that silhouette look like a Loli. The chapter was good, plus we got more Roggy goodness.

I have to mention something, I don't know why but Roggy reminds me of Gintoki for some reason. I guess that's one of the reasons why I'm loving his character so far, such a fun character. I really hope this series doesn't get axed, but I have a bad feeling that the Editors at Jump will screw it over.

And Takahashi has a money printing machine in Yu-Gi-Oh while Kishimoto and Naruto enjoy a bigger popularity overseas.

They still don't make as much as actors though.

Does Kishimoto actually make more than Oda? I mean the only place Naruto is more popular than OnePiece is in the U.S, while the latter is more popular in Europe and far more in Japan. So I thought Oda made more than Kishi.

Hey MangaGAF!

I just want to get a synopsis of people's reading preferences for Jumps ongoing serialization....

What is your currently on going top weekly Shonen Jump series? (As in the chapter releases weekly)....... series on Hiatus can count if you want them too (just so I can get an idea of overall sense on readers opinions)

Haikyuu!!
Food Wars!
BLack Clover
Gakkyu Hotei
World Trigger
Assassination Classroom

how is Gakkyu Hotei

it has a story similar to something like Ace Attorney right?

It is one of the best written series in the magazine. It can be wordy but all the cases have shocking reveals. Newest character, Sarutobi and main character Inugami are such a fantastic duo.

I hope it lasts long as the classroom killing case is vastly compelling and mysterious.
