At that price point, I think the only places would be Forever 21 or H&M. Honestly, for something like a winter coat, which needs to be well structured and durable, $100 won't get you much. The next step up is probably Uniqlo, and then maybe Jcrew or Banana.

I'd go with something versatile like a classic pea coat. Looks great with jeans without looking too fussy.

What I was worried about. Should have bit on the CK one on Amazon for $70 a month back. Bah.

I've seen some Kenneth Cole ones as well as Spiewak peacoats at Costco... though that just might be my area (SF Bay Area, CA).

But yeah, you can try ordering online from Uniqlo (assuming their service is back up) or keep an eye out during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales from Macy's and whatnot.

There's also burlington Coat Factory if there's one around you. They have name brands for coats like Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein but their obviously of a much lower quality once you feel them. They are usually around $100 or less depending on the coat.

They should, though since Sandy I think they've taken the online store offline temporarily. The store went live in mid-October.

They have a few on there that look alright. I'd like a coat that's not long. One that doesn't go below my crotch. For some reason I hate long coats.

Might have to look into this.

My brother got a peacoat for $80 and overcoats were about $110 and they have other coats too, it's just what we were looking at. At least a look if that's your price range.

Three months? Did you pick which horse you wanted the boots made from or something?

Out of all these coats, which do you think looks the best?

I have a 50% off coupon that I want to use before it expires >__>
Really depends on what style of coat you want and for what purpose.

Are you looking for warmth? Style? Are you going to be wearing it primarily with a suit or shirt and tie? Or casually? You should figure these out first, then you'll have a better idea.

Finally found a new pea coat that fit me fairly well, at least I think so. I tried on a few different ones from a bunch of places and this seem to work the best, the others were super wide on me and looked like I was wearing a box. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, my camera is dead right now. What say you, fashion gaf?

I think it looks great Purg3, and seems to fit your body type pretty well compared to others that are just straight going down and boxier. What is the brand/name for the one you finally got?

Some guys need to figure out that they can't pull off wearing a cardigan. If you're not slender or if you don't have an average build please don't bother.

^like that but less busy, i dont need all those buttons or metal plates, much less with inscriptions

absolutely wasn't, sorry if i'm in the wrong thread, but...yeah some of those are sharp, thanks man!
Costume national and Neil Barrett have stiff like this on yoox right now if you're feeling fancy, and if you're a bargain hunter type costume national footwear in general is easy to get at low prices.

Also, not sure if they are still around anywhere, but uk label casley-hayford did a run of shoes with John Moore:

Just stuff to get the gears turning. What you're looking for is out there.

What's the general consensus on American Apparel?

I like the fact that everything is made in the USA and not exploiting kids in a sweatshop. I'm planning on going to their shop near me in a few weeks time and buying a whole ensemble right down to their shoes.

Thoughts?

Nothing that fantastic. Can probably get better for less elsewhere. Made in USA doesn't mean much to me, not like there aren't shitty conditions here. Ceo is a creep. Soft core porn.

That is all

Their QC is realllllllly bad, so if you can go into a store and look at each item it's worth it. Fabric isn't very resilient either IME. There are a lot of brands doing sweatshop-free made in USA stuff, granted it's a bit more expensive.

Does anyone have any tips for a place to find good quality sweaters online for less than $100 and that ships internationally? While in Washington D.C. last fall, I bought some V-Neck Merino wool sweaters from Brooks Brothers that I've been happy with, but this year they've both increased in price and are no longer discounted in any way, so I need to look elsewhere. Not being American nor particularly well-versed in online clothes shopping, I don't really know what's preferable out of the brands and sites that a quick Google search provides, like Gap, Land's End, J. Crew and Banana Republic.

Need clothing advice:

1. I love Clark's Desert Boots (Beeswax) and I've gotten several compliments on them. Unfortunately, I find the bottom of the shoe gets really dirty easily. Is this kind of inevitable, or is there a way to keep them cleaner?

2. Looking at winter coats right now and I saw some for a good price at Macy's (really great deals today) and Banana Republic.

Macy's coat

BR coat

Which would GAFers recommend? Are there any other good options for classy winter coats? Not really a fan of the puffy, wrinkly sports coat look.

crepe sole, can't do shit about it. look into the clarks bushacre if you want a non-crepe sole.

Would you consider it a joke post if some goofy looking designer had one recently in a show and Alucrid had just spent 700$ on a pair.

Mainly said it because of the picture he posted, not because of what he requested. The boots in the picture are what questionable people in the 90s wore...or final fantasy cosplayers nowadays, I guess.

More fitting for this kind of crowd: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPbVRpRgHso

What are some good colognes to look into? Acqua di Gio gets a lot of mentions, but I'm not sure it's the right one for me. What do you guys use?
