asos is kinda like urban outfitters where they have a lot of their own house brand and carry other stuff too.whats asos? they dont sound like a recognizable brand
where do they fall on the scale
Where do you guys get shorts? (No cargo, knee length). I need some for summer and I wanted to find somewhere that had good ones in a variety of colors so I could buy 3-4 pair. I'd rather not break the bank either.
actually, the target merona shorts are not bad at all. I have a pair for yardwork I got on megadiscount a couple years ago, and they are holding up fine.

I mention target tees and shit all the time!word. i don't feel bad about getting them dirty because they'll hold up in the wash too. target has been my go-to for shorts, v-necks, and socks for a while now. i feel like target gets a bad rap around here, but then again this thread is more high end and not the dappered.com crowd.
my trenchcoat on a budget arrived. to throw over if it gets chilly
I like, where'd you get it and do they have other colors? I like my peacoat for winter, so a spring jacket in a similar style would be nice.
You guys ever roll over to StyleForums.net?
Damn those guys are brutal over there.

Ya but I don't even step in the WAYWT or classic menswear threads. They got some active informative threads for niche brands that I keep an eye on. If nothing else the Official Sales Alert thread is a goldmine for those who like that aesthetic and want to accumulate it cheaply.
I do, but they're so groupthink. If you aren't wearing Dior/MMM Gats/Schneider then gtfo.
They know what they like.

Mens Style.
Mostly.
probably not. I mean, bond isn't exactly breaking barriers in style. It's just very nicely cut clothing in very expensive fabric.just out of curiosity, has the "i want to have that look from that movie" thing ever worked for anybody?
Don't copy your style from movies. Style comes from within.

Are you built like Daniel Craig? If not then that outfit isn't going to look good on you.So Casino Royale was on last week and I was struck by how Daniel Craig was dressed in the Venice segment near the end of the movie. I want to put that look together. It was very simlpe. Plain dark pants, black shoes, a tee and then a long sleeve polo.
This is the best I can do for an image:

In looking for a picture I also came across this which I'd like to be able to get too:

Note: I know this is basic stuff for most people, I am not very ah... stylish So it's a step in the right direction for me!

I'd argue it doesn't look good anyway but kind of like Coldvein was saying, the part that makes it look somewhat appealing is the fact that it's Daniel Craig and how the clothes accentuates his physique. It would look like trash otherwise.
Oh I gotcha. Some burgundy/cherry brown brogues would look rad with that outfit.oh my problem is with the black shoes contrasting very hard with the white shirt+light grey suit
The pieces are alright, it's mostly just too much blue. I think the outfit would look incrementally better with some color thrown in, even if that color is just white, grey or brown.Pretty close yeah. Actually looking at his stats it says he's 5'10 172 so yeah not far off.
I understand what you're saying though. I dont know that I agree it would look like trash. It's very basic imo. I'm not a fan of looking trendy or hipster, metro or over the top. I'm drawn to simple and clean.
That said I'll try something like that on and see what it looks like. Question is where to go for the clothes. I'll check out the OP again.

Hello, I have a vegan friend and he is thinking about buying a faux leather jacket, but I have heard that the quality is very bad, so, anyone here haves experience with faux leather jackets?
Those lapels look way way way too skinny, otherwise I might consider it.
What? I see Boss slammed constantly on that forum. There's a lot better suits than Hugo Boss.
Those lapels look pretty normal
anyway guys, should i get an awesome leather jacket.... or a DSLR?
