hah well my response was kinda dicky (didn't mean it to be so). It might be a necessity in the east due to humidity (just guessing, no idea), but I've never really gained anything from it over here on the w(b)est coast. I have nothing against them, though.I did a little Google research and it turns out that it seems to vary be region and country on whether undershirts are appropriate. I guess I wrongfully assumed that guys always wear undershirts under dress shirts to absorb body funk and to undermine the nipple factor. The more you know.
thin wale onlyWhat's ManshionGaf's opinion on (awesome) corduroy blazers(/sports jacket)?
thin wale only
too trueI agree with that! Planning on picking one up soon.
Velvet still rules the top spot.
too true
I need to get myself some velvet duds and velvet loafers

why not, really. it's a pretty subtle pattern. even plain velvet isn't exactly a "don't look at me" fabric heh.What's your take on this velvet blazer http://www.mrporter.com/product/362818
I usually only go for plain colours with velvet, but this one looks pretty awesome and can work well especially if the other items are dressed down.
Oh I don't think it's necessarily socially unacceptable (well in a city environment, I'd be given side eyes here heh), I was just saying that a dark plaid velvet blazer isn't going to catch any attention/heat that a regular ol velvet blazer wouldn't.
That could have been fine calfskin and still been ugly.
because rick owens skirts are expensiveI like oak but why are they selling this http://www.oaknyc.com/oak-side-pleat-funnel-dress-beluga-mens.html

Be less worried about the brand and more worried about the fit. That's the most important thing. Determine your size and find a number of different shirts at your local department store of choice and try them all on until you figure out which one fits you best. The fit is going to determine how well you look more so than any other aspect of your outfit.Wow this thread has given me inspiration to clean out my closet and get new clothes....I have no idea where to start!
Could you guys recommend me a good brand for collared shirts I can wear to work. My work is really casual so I can wear short/long sleeve. Looking to pick up about 7 new shirts so price is definetly an issue. Really appreciate it if you guys could send me in the right direction because I am completely lost!
Gonna buy gaf hated item, skinny white jeans

I remember Bob Page vouching for the JCP Stafford line in this thread awhile back, although that may have changed. That's about as affordable as you can get and from what he posted, they looked pretty solid. Outside of that, DKNY is pretty solid/affordable, however their shirts tend to be a little on the short end, so depending on your build they may often come untucked.
Regardless, glad you got inspired to get some new clothes! You'll definitely thank yourself for doing so.
I think they are dope but I'd never wear em. You'd be a good fit I think.http://www.ysl.com/en_US/shop-products/Men/Shoes/Boots/signature-saint-laurent-jodhpur-cropped-boot-in-beige-suede_805167329.html#!{"products":{"315166AP900":{"size":"39+","color":"2620"}}}
