I could watch WCCW all day.

And I just might.

Harvey Martin is on this episode of WCCW for some reason, and he cuts a better promo than his 'wrestler firend' Jay Saldi

If there is one complaint I have about the Roundtables that isn't just shitting on Michael Hayes (although he actually is one of the worst offenders) is how EVERYONE has such an inflated sense of ego and importance to what they do. Everyone is always so serious and goes on and on about RESPECT this and RESPECT that and can't step back and realize what they do is ridiculous and the complete lack of sense of humor when it comes to their jobs makes them look like a shit head.

No one ever steps back and laughs at the job being grown ass men dressing in colorful tights and play fighting. And everyone is always ready to blow smoke (DDP is usually the worst when he's on). The celebrity one is so annoying with the way that A. JR will shit on WCW for EVERYTHING any chance he gets, even when WWE has done something as bad or worse. B. Michael Hayes will do the same thing, but also put himself over. C. DDP tries to make everything sound so serious, bro.

JR shits all over Leno, Malone, and Arquette. This was as WWE had just come off WEEKLY celebrities on Raw for 2 years, with many of them wrestling or other wise being way involved with the show. DDP had to vociferously defend Malone (all show) until JR acknowledged that sure, Malone was okay. I guess. Fuck WCW, folks. It was especially weird when he talked about how great Kaufman/King was because Andy got it and it drew money, and would then still shit on WCW for Malone and Leno when those were two of the biggest PPVs WCW ever did. And Malone was a real athlete who trained for weeks for the match. Dude will just not give WCW credit for anything ever, even good things from while he was there. And all the shitting on Russo. It seems like no one will admit that he helped make them a lot of money and instead talk about how he didn't respect da business as often as possible because of his stupid and bad angles, as if fucking terrible/bad angles never existed in wrestling before 1998.

WWE has had Drew Carey in the Royal Rumble, Snooki and Maria Menudous wrestling at Wrestlemania, the Miller Light Cat Fight girls having 5 or 6 segments during a WM, Kevin Federline defeating John Cena, and had John Wayne Bobbitt in an angle with Val Venis. But KARL MALONE was JR's line of WCW fucking wrestling up forever. I don't know, JR's vendetta against WCW really makes me lose some respect for him, because he's always talking about professionalism, but would shit on WCW even when angles were using WCW to hype something up. Like during the Invasion angle or at WM19 when in one breath he put over Booker's 5 WCW Championships and in the same sentence said WCW was a joke.

Bill Mercer just called Terry Gordy a well proportioned Andre the Giant. Crazy that Terry was only 21 during the Freebirds stuff.

David Arquette winning the belt did do a ton of damage to WCW's buyrate. There's direct cause and effect evidence there.

Malone and even Leno aren't that bad as far as celebrity matches go. JR does have a never ending hate of WCW because of how his final years went and I can't blame him, bro.

I agree with you here. Everything is far too serious. It's nearly as bad as taking sales in gaming side super seriously.

It is after all just a show. Guys in stupid masks and tights

The thing with Arquette is A. WCW was dead by then anyway. It wasn't possible to do more damage to WCW and B. Arquette didn't want to do it, thought it was stupid, and donated all the money he made. JR seems most pissed at the things that happened when he wasn't even there anymore. It's like no one realizes the war is over and they won. The revisionist history is so ridiculous and so blatant. WWE pretends that WCW was nothing but business killing angles and gimmicks while playing up the Attitude Era as much as possible. You can't have it both ways. You can't talk about how great the Attitude Era is with porn stars, pimps, demons, crucifixions, lighting strikes, feeding dogs to people, and the list can go on forever with offensive and terrible angles from that period that were just as bad as what WCW was doing.

But all of that goes out the window when it is time to sell a WCW DVD. Shitting on WCW all the time has made no sense since they bought it, since it is pretty stupid to tell everyone had bad WCW was and then try to sell a DVD on how great they were. It's almost embarrassing at how petty guys like JR are in regards to WCW. It's been done for 13 years. There is nothing left to be mad over. Let it go, mayne.

Arquette turned their buyrate into TNA bad territories. I agree the company was beyond doomed by that point but its not like WCW didn't feel the bang from that decision.

The PPVs before Arquette showed up had dropped dramatically. Superbrawl 99 had a 1.1 buy rate. 2000 had a .10. That is lower than what Slamboree 2000 had. Uncensored also had fewer buys, and both of those were before Arquette came to town. The point is that Arquette didn't matter at all. It got some national press and the PPV he was involved with actually had slightly more buys than a few of the PPVs before it.

The Shield cut one of the funniest 1 minute promos ever on the Smackdown pre-show on the Network. Ambrose goes off on this wild tangent about them being the mustangs of the WWE, and the other two are looking at him like "what the fuck are you talking about?" But then Reigns puts on his serious face, starts his part, and just continues on Ambrose's insane analogy.

Orndoff > Hogan and Flair

So much charisma. So much heat. So much presence. I wish that he could have had a real proper feud with Savage or Santana or Muraco.

I think this is a big part of why the Worst Characters one is the best one. They were looser with talking shit about themselves and the business.

Watching WCW Chi-Town Rumble 89. Michael Hayes really has deteriorated into nothing.

We really need a MST3k viewing situation going. Pick a program. Get a party chat going.

I've made it to OT2! HELLO. I was talking about that pilot show Tag Team with Jesse Ventura and Roddy Piper who are BANNED from wrestling forever and must become cops just to make ends meet.

Well I found the pilot on YouTube, it's awesome and well worth a watch. They show pro wrestling as a competitive sport and at one point Jesse and Roddy accidentally let go of a piano and it breaks through a wall and lands on a car and Jesse says "I guess I just bodyslammed a car."

The greatest man in lucha libre, Rush, has defeated Shocker in a hair vs hair match. Shocker has won 14 in a row prior to this and this is now Rush's 4th win. This is all a build up to my probable MOTY Rush vs Negro Casas hair vs hair. RUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSH!
