As expected HBK Vs Taker were the best

Orton should've definitely won. What a lame final match after some good build up. It should've been a no DQ match so Legacy and the McMahons could've run in. Orton will probably win the title at Backlash, but it's just not the same.

HBK vs Taker, Matt vs Jeff, and the MitB were the only good matches.

A 3 match Mania isn't bad.
I'm a little disappointed because I had huge expectations for the tag title match as well. :(

JEricho vs Legends was harmless.

The two title matches just were unable to tell a story.

awful end to an awful PPV. I thought it was going to end in seconds because it looked like Randy was really hurt from the 1st Pedigree. Eh, I probably wont watch Raw tomorrow.

Watching the replay (hell might as well, its free) and its sad that the MiTB had a better story and flow to it than the two title matches.

So was this the worst Wrestlemania so far?

Not by a long shot, it had an extremely awesome match with Taker/HBK, a fun ladder match and a good match between the Hardys.

The matches for the most part weren't bad just bland.

13, 9 and somewhat even 11 still are up there.
As is 2

God, I knew that was going to get .gif'd once I saw it -- especially when the camera zoomed in. Taker is the new DYLAN!

Maybe worst wasn't the right word. I should have said underwhelming.

This wrestlemania was shit. I've waited months for the unification of the tag belts. And the wwe fucking screwed me by making it a dark match. Hardy vs Hardy was the only good thing to come out of all the crap.

I JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT IF YOU TEAM UP HBK AND TRIPLE H IN LEGENDS OF WRESTLEMANIA GAME THEY COME OUT TO THE D-X MUSIC!!!!!!!!
Yeah, just go to Create Mode and Create a Tag Team. It'll show you the teams already pre-made, including some classics like The Mega Bucks. They also have the Money Inc. tag entrance as an available animation, so one of the first CAWs I just had to make was IRS. Still need to figure out the moveset for him though.

Though my fav CAW so far is still Macho Man. Thank god THQ have a custom music option for entrance themes.

Next up is to find a decent Marty Jannetty so I can use the Rockers theme mp3 I have sitting around. :D

Ugh that main event was terrible. I think Orton did a grand total of two wrestling moves. The inverted back breaker, and the DDT on the outside, otherwise it was all punches, stomps and rest holds... fucking embarrassing.

Overall I enjoyed this mania tho, the Michaels, Taker match was great ( albeit sloppy/scary). Hardy, Hardy was good and the MITB was good as well. I know that tag match was good... fuckin wwe...maybe they will show it on their website or something?

A few things:

That Shelton Benjamin header off of the ladder was sick...

...but not as sick as the Jeff Hardy sit down over that huge ladder, followed up with that head through a chair twist of fate. That dude earned every cent tonight.

Clearly, tomorrow night I look for HHH will be stripped of the belt for using the sledgehammer. I would expect Orton's team of attorneys to make a showing. Look for a tournament to be held culminating at the next PPV, but not starting until next week when the shows have been reorganized. If it happens that way, I expect HHH and Orton to both move to Smackdown (along with Rhodes and DiBiase, of course), so it can be taped on Tuesday. I would think CM Punk will go to SD in this case, since he could be the next face in line to utilize his MitB opportunity if/when Orton wins the tournament. In that case, I expect Cena to keep his new belt on Raw, and Edge to stick around as well.

In the draft, I look for Vladimir Kozlov and MVP to absolutely move to Raw. I would also expect Rey Mysterio, then, to go back to Smackdown now that he has the IC belt, since MVP would, most likely, be bringing the US belt to Raw. If this happens, I should think the Colons will also come over to Raw. It might also be time for the Undertaker to come back to Raw as well. I hope so, as I detest watching SD, because I can't get it in HD. It's so vain and snobbish, isn't it?

Taker/HBK was amazing. Above and beyond anything I've seen this year. My girlfriend heard me screaming like a school girl and she even came and watched the match. she kept saying "this is amazing" throughout the match. They tore the fucking roof down and really fucked up the 2 main events. No way was anyone following that up.

Match saved mania.

tekumseh,

So you basically you have the shows switch the main stars? :P

I hope HHH stays on Smackdown, but I'm really hating he'll go wherever Orton is, and I think Orton remains on RAW. I see Cena and Jericho go to Smackdown, though. Edge and Christian both go to RAW and some of the younger, mid card guys like R-Truth, Jamie Noble, and The Brian Kendrick go to ECW. Take Mike Knox with them!

Well, if you recall, HHH went to Smackdown because Steph was part of the writing/production team there, so they could spend more time together. IF she is going to maintain that position, him on SD makes the best sense. IF he's going to be there, Orton should be there also, at least in the short term because clearly they will have unfinished business written for them. Orton can't go unless the other 2 go, so I'd say that part is pretty clear. For the others, Edge/Vickie/Chavo? haven't been on Raw for some time/ever, so it makes sense for them to move the other way. I agree about Jericho, but IMO, since he's the best talking heel, he'll stay on Raw as the flagship show. There has been a long time thought that RMjr would go back to SD, due to the increase in the Latino audience when he is on the program, so if he does, the IC belt will need to move to Raw.

As for ECW, I reconsider CM Punk to SD. I think he will go back to ECW to challenge for that belt. If he does, Christian will move on, but I'm up in the air where. I agree about the lesser guys: Noble, Kendrick, etc. Those guys need to be off Monday/Friday. Killings might work on Monday, but if he comes over, look for Cryme Tyme or Kofi Kingston to go to SD. I'd be quite interested in a Kingston/Benjamin feud, or a Benjamin/Christian feud for that matter....

So here are the WM matches HBK has had since his return Match times given in parenthesis. Bold if the longest match on the card, underlined if the 2nd longest match on the card.

Wrestlemania 19: HBK vs. Chris Jericho (22:33)
Wrestlemania 20: HBK vs. HHH vs. Chris Benoit. Main Event (25:10)
Wrestlemania 21: HBK vs. Kurt Angle ( 27:25)
Wrestlemania 22: HBK vs. Vince McMahon (No Holds Barred) (18:28)
Wrestlemania 23: HBK vs. John Cena (This was a great match. HBK and Cena always seem to work well together.) (28:20 Was also the main event)
Wrestlemania 24: HBK vs. Ric Flair in Flair's last match. (20:23)
Wrestlemania 25: HBK vs. Taker (I don't know how long the match was, but I'm pretty sure it was the longest match of the night. Around 28 minutes I think)

Damn O_o

WM 25.... some good matches, some bad matches.

For me the good stuff outweight the bad.... though I have to say Orton/HHH was a pretty blah main event and if I hadn't enjoyed the MitB, Hardy and UT/Michaels matches so much I'd be pretty pissed off....

Finally, Michaels puts Taker over! Bout f**king time. >_>

Still managed to save some ego by kicking out of Tombstone etc. :lol *rolleyes*

Great match, really loved it.

Rest was a bore though, after the Taker/HBK one I said to my friends the rest of the shit ain't gonna top this, and of course it failed to even get close enough to registering to fail.

Zzzzz.

When was the last time the main event/co-main events were such a dud?

It's telling how Orton and Cena debuted around the same time, but Cena's main event against HHH three years ago was electric. Orton had three years of growth to top that, and he couldn't even outdo Christian vs Swagger.

I didn't hear it when watching, but Jeff Gerstmann was there and he posted on Twitter that there were boring chants during the main event.

Maybe this lackluster performance will finally sour Vinnie being so high on Orton. It really was a dud. They did all they could to fabricate this being a "personal" thing (which is nonsense since he had a guaranteed shot anyway) but it just fell flat.

The crowd just didn't care about either main event. Taker vs HBK just drained the crowd... and rightfully so. It was one of the best matches they've had on Mania in a long long time. It should be telling that the best Mania matches since 19 on have featured either HBK or Taker.

I really don't like Taker, but I respect the hell out of him. He's been going much harder as he gets older and putting on better matches. I just hope for his sake he stops that over the top rope dive after last night. I seriously thought he may have broken his neck given how badly he landed.

Honestly? It was the worst WM Main event since Sid/Taker. And i'm not exaggerating in the least.

I didn't really care for the HBK/Taker match. I'm a huge Michaels fan (2nd fav wrestler) but knowing Taker was gonna win because of "the streak" basically killed my excitement for the match.

I agree the main events were duds. WWE will never let Edge wrestle in a good match when he's champion.

I can't remember seeing a crowd at Wrestlemania react to a main event finish with such apathy. Nobody cared.

Highlight of the night was definitely HBK v. Taker. That's really the only match you have to see, plus highlight packages of the 'legends v. Jericho and the MitB match.
