Taker is a good wrestler and he constantly progress, even after all this years...
The only problem is that he's condemned to fight big bad wrestlers... Kaly, Koslov, Giant Gonzales, Yokozuna, Kevin nash....

You also forgot Kamala, Nathan Jones, Mark Henry, and Heidenreich.

holy fuck. why wouldn't teh table break :lol

It was an actual table. If you notice it still has the metal braces / supports all around the damn thing. Those tables are sturdy as hell. The ones they break earlier aren't the same. Just some crappy ply wood tables.

Botch finish. See it coming a mile away.

Of course, I see it, but still I don't like giving away the match. :lol

Spoilers for ECW/Wrestlemania
Mark Henry is in the Money in the Bank match... yeah that Mark Henry :lol

It's gonna be Mysterio vs. Knox vs. Kane, I wonder who's gonna win, lol. Man, Mysterio needs a gimmick change more so than anyone. He's become so damn stale.
OK, the WWE surprised me, lol. Mysterio still sucks though.

This is such a confusing angle..

The champion baits the challenger into a match
The challenger sets up a stipulation in which he can lose his title shot at Mania...

It's personal, not business.

you kidding me? Two moves of doom + Michaels shrugging off all that damage? Of course if that was Cena people would be bitching.
To be fair HBK is a shade away from Cena on the annoyance scale. After his comeback I never really liked him much and his mic/charisma work have both plummeted sans the very occasional funny skit. Besides Jericho, Santino, Undertaker and Edge I don't really like any of the current talent....and I rarely see last two.

2003 was still IMO the best time in modern wrestling Wreslemania 19 was pretty much amazing, besides the divas match (not the womens' title one) there wasn't a bad match on the card all with decent storyline / build.

Well there's the screwjob finish.
I wonder how going to stretch this out.

I will disagree because after Wrestlemania, the year was all over the map.

I will say the best modern period... at least PPV wise would be 2001.
And get on AIM or something, or send PM have something to ask you.

Ok so what the fuck is with all the super transparent "swerves" they're trying to pull?

I know the bookings pretty shit right now, but come on now.

great cena/edge match.. only started getting bored at btoh of the submissions, which was right at the end anyway.

and again allow me to voice my displeasure at the "DQ keeps the title" concept. It breaks all rules of logic and common sense. "He can do something totally illegal and against the rules and can keep his title". I know I bitch about it in these threads all the time, but just once I would love to see a "DQ loses your title" match... I mean I realize it goes against the "bad guy" concept in wrestling, but at the very least it would without question provide a solid and entertaining match between a babyface and heel and force the heel to come up with a clean finish to win.

oh well, still an enjoyable end match to what was otherwise a pretty blah RAW. Really nice to see Cena actually use the entire ring.

I agree, I think in general they don't let heels win fairly enough of the time. I mean, you don't need the guy to cheat for the crowd to hate him. You could just have him taunt or do something post match. I never got that, anyway.

I dunno how they're going to stretch these feuds out for another 4 weeks.

I don't see why they would need to. I mean Orton/HHH will just be mind games and I assume provoking the other to hit them.

Anyhow, I figured with this being the 25th Anniversary and all, we look back at the prior 24 or so.

Starting with the one that began it all, Wrestlemania live from Madison Square Garden on March 31st, 1985 (Random aside, two days before yours truly was born :D )

This is special for some many reasons, but the main one being its the first. If this had proven a failure, the face of wrestling would be so different in this day and age.

This is also the only Wrestlemania in which the main event is not a world title match. The title isn't even defended at the PPV.

Instead the main event of this PPV is Mr. T and Hulk Hogan vs Roddy Piper and Paul Orndoff

The first Wrestlemania was on closed circuit television. How did you even get that back then?

First match?

The first match was between Tito Santana and The Executioner (Paul Perschmann). Santana won the match after applying a figure four leglock, a submission hold that applies pressure to the legs, on The Executioner. Following the match, King Kong Bundy, accompanied by Jimmy Hart, and Special Delivery Jones (Conrad Efraim) made their way to the ring. After crushing his opponent against the turnbuckle and landing on him stomach-first, Bundy defeated Jones in record making time. The WWF's official time for the match is nine seconds,[10] although it actually lasted closer to 23 seconds.

Bam Bam, you're gonna get slammed.

I figured that would come up, and I mean technically it was a double main event, and yeah.. we don't talk about that match much.

Could you imagine if Big Show/Mayweather went on last at 24?

The current WM does look like ass. They tried to change things up too fast and now most matches are shit we've seen before. HBK and Undertaker give me some interest, but other than that, no.

I do think we may see another swerve continuing at WM, maybe with Stephanie costing HHH the title.

edit:

bring back Bam Bam on SvR!

Bam Bam is in lowm and his welcome to asbury park is in too :D
lol Not going to pay sixty bucks to play as Bam Bam.

If THQ/Yukes could make created superstars right, it would allow us to create anybody.
