The thing with the whole "moving forward a bit but not really" is so common with heavies, it is pretty annoying after you've come to a full stop and it does that.

Guess I really need to practice that turn.
So far is my only complain about Rainbow Road 8

You want to exit that first sharp turn really tightly so you want to enter that turn wide and aim for a very late apex, braking quite a bit as you enter that turn.

You also want to brake a bit as you enter that turn before the glider, but if you have a good angle then you can just hold the B button for a second or so, which doesn't actually slow you down that much since you should still be under the influence of your SMT from the turn before.

And this is with a 5 speed 3 handling Dry Bowser combo BTW. You only have to brake on the first turn with higher handling combos, but you should probably brake into the glider turn anyways for safety reasons.

Coolest thing I've ever done was fall off the ramp by accident, hold up and pray only to see Rosalina take off anyway and recover back to the main stage versus getting picked up by Lakitu and salvaging 5th in a packed room. :lol
