Yeah, the slightest change is that it makes you lose traction, so it is more useful than the Coin. Seriously, I hate the coin item. Such a waste of a spot.

I read in the manual being on 10 coins gives you a max speed advantage. If I remember that correctly.

I am a PC FPS gamer and I see Mario Kart taking all of my play time for a few months. Really Wii U and PC seems the way to go this gen.

Maybe its nostlagia but i know where hes coming from. MK64 was probably some of the best times I had playing a mk game with friends and family.

Battle mode isn't that bad. Some of the tracks seem unsuited or too big but going opposite directions sort of like jousting is sometimes more exciting than cramped maps.

I love this game already. 2 player Grand Prix is so good. The only thing I miss is the on-screen mini-map.

Yes, and you can play online co-op as well. 2 players are limited for online, 4 for local.
