Yeah, going Daisy speed instead of Baby Rosalina speed is going to make you victorious for sure! ^_^

Also, MK7 had a "Hop spam to go faster" tech too that pretty much all the experienced players did, though it was situational. It looked hilarious. There were other advanced techniques, too, like doing a single MT on a straight here and there and Glide Boosting, which can go die. But the biggest thing was actually... When you hopped to start a drift, if you turned before you landed on the ground, then you lost speed and it would also take you longer to charge up an MT. Apparently this is fixed in 8, but I haven't been able to test it myself. But in MK7 it was actually a pretty big difference, and for many people making the switch required changing well-ingrained habits. That's really not the case with hop spam techs.

So I expect most people to hop spam since it doesn't look hard at all. So nah, you wouldn't be able to pull off that trolling anyways.

Well, it's only for certain games. In Sonic All-Stars Transformed on Wii U, it uses your NN ID. Otherwise yeah, pretty sweet.

On that track, I find that going up along the antigravity path is much slower than just riding between the streetcars and drifting. It's how I was able to catch up and pass for first.

Are there character/kart combos that have proven to be more effective? I've been on vacation so I only got to play a few hours so far.

Are the speed boosts you get effected more by top speed or by acceleration? If I go all the way on top speed, i would think that means when i boost I can go faster than if i had a high accel and lower top speed.

BTW- Late night MK GAF is goin DOWN TONIGHT!
