First picture seems real. Second mmm...

Clearly a photoshop. The first one has some huge issues near the top of the DS where it meets the stripes in the background. It may be real but it isn't well done.

It would be an awesome way to launch the red DS in the US, however.

Well, all the Nintendo PR agencies recieved their Mario Kart DS assets discs this morning so it's a VERY well timed and well informed fake if it isn't real. I think what I'm I'm trying to say isÂ… it almost certainly is real.

The checkered wrist strap is kinda sweet.. the little mario hanging off seems kinda fake but the thing is.. Nintendo is gonna start sending standees for mario kart ds to retail stores within the next week.. they gotta have something by then o_O

It's nice....but why can't they just release what people have actually been asking for..

..a western release for the black and the white DS. It's been over 6 months, just release them already. I would have got a DS months ago if not for the fugly colours and promise of something better.

I think nintendo should release a new color every 6 months or something... no matter what. that would create a bigger collectors scene

I think the wrist strap pushes in over the edge into the "real" department. Who would think of something like that?

Only Nintendo.

Just import it for a few bucks extra if that's the only reason you're holding out.

If that's fake, it should be used by Nintendo on the actual bundle, because that looks pretty damn good. You guys are zooming in right, looking at it full size? I don't see why anyone would jump out and say it's a fake.

I'd rather have the safety net of buying it locally so I can check/return for dead pixels and for it's guarantee.

I suppose it's not all bad. If they don't release black/white prior to christmas then i will probably just wait until E3 in case there is a re-design.

Actually, that is not fake. Those are the exact shots that Nintendo showed us a few weeks ago.

I would not expect a colored DS to turn grey and wavy near the top like this one seems to be doing. If it's real, NOA needs to give it more polish.

..and I don't suppose you could enlighten us to whether or not the black and white DS's will be released in the US/Europe this year? :D

Silence young padawan.

IntestineBoy 0wn3z you.

That hot decal set looks like hot shit. :/

I just noticed that the DS is white at the bottom. I'd like to see a full pic of it.

Yep, I noticed that - I'm quite glad, so that my Red+Black one is still relatively special.

Meh @ the Mario Kart DS bundle... If I import a white DS am I going to have any problems playing multiplayer against friends with U.S. hardware, or with online titles?

that shade of Red is not my cup of tea. But I can see this bundle doing very well this Christmas. I guess I'll have to buy the regular unit and match it with Mario Kart separately.
