Why would he feel stupid? It DOES looks fake and has some huge issues than an official boxart should not have.

I would not expect official artwork to have noticable flaws... but perhaps I expect too much.

And I'm not complaining about flaws in color sheme or text placement, but rather sloppy craftsmanship.

That's because it's a mockup made in Photoshop, rather than an actual photograph of a box, silly. Designers have to make mockups too, you know.
