Don't worry you won't(for a moment):If I am playing one of them, it would be Mario Kart World.
With Mario and Sonic, Nintendo gained the official olympic game status from Sega. (Sega paid the licence)Why don't they make a crossover?
2025 Sega is extremely consistent because of top tiers arcade teams joining Sega console Studios (even Shadow Gen is the best 3D Sonic ever made), all Sega Racing were good (not decent) and this time the S-Tiers Initial D Team is handling Sonic Cross Worlds:Both could be great. We know MK will be. Who tf knows with sega. I voted why not both. I'd rather a company charge me a high price for a premium product vs a medium price for a decent game. Life is too short for good enough and the quality will be remembered long after the price is forgotten. Skip your avocado toast and 10 dollar plus tax coffee milk shake for a couple of days and buy Switch 2 kids. Don't settle. Stop incentivizing the cities to promote RTO by saving just a small amount of your money for less than a week to buy the real deal instead of the knockoff.

Keep in mind that's a little different now:I'll go with Sonic, I've always liked the Sonic Racing games more, the driving feels waaaay better
It's indeed easier when you only have to deal with 1 hardware...Sonic looks more intriguing with more promise, World will probably be executed better but worse than 8 Deluxe for gameplay.
Releasing brand new games would be a good start for themBe here waiting for Naughty Dog to release a spiritual successor to what would have been Crash Team Racing World

Grindind/riding part seems interesting in MK, indeed.the portal gimmick seems fun but ultimately just a cosmetic thing really.
Mario Kart seems to have meaningfully expanded the core gameplay with grinding jumping and wall riding as well as the knockout mode.
so for me Mario Kart is far more interesting
Team Sonic Racing was a budget game for Sega (the new Sega CEO told the press they were in safe mode at the time and Sumo had more important projects). All Stars Transformed is amazing, but the subsequent game wasn't good. So I'm not sure if I should be excited for the new one. The portal looks extremely janky and the jumpy framerate on the trailer didn't help make a good impression.
All Stars Transformed is amazing
- Console + games + accessories will be crazy expensive. (85 bucks extra controller for local play with a friend or paid online)
CoolSwitch 2 works with Switch 1 pro controller/joycon/other stuff. I'm just happy I procrastinated ever buying an extra pair of Joycon because NS2 comes with my second pair lol.
Thats Gaf's polling system in a nutshell.I said Fuck Mario, Fuck Sonic, Fuck the Planet
But I want both games because they both look fun. The edgy poll choice looked fun, too, so I chose that even though I don't mean it.
99% of open world are a waist of time: Generic maps, fedex quests, dead worlds...Comparing the 2 is dumb : Sonic is about racing on tracks, Mario will be an open world racing for whatever reason with a very little focus on driving on actual tracks and a very heavy emphasis on going from one race to another from what we've seen so far... oh and that 90$ scam! So yean, Sonic by Miles!
It was a beta test.I can't imagine a person with a functioning brain watching the gameplay of both these titles and picking Sonic. It looks like a total mess.
Curious how Sonic RCW will look and perform on PS4, XBox One and, specially, Switch. Those shifts to new worlds/stages during the race seems very demading for those systems. Also graphically seems to be pretty good on visuals, above the average PS4/One era mario kart clones, like the remaster of CTR . By the way, good to see Xbox One still getting good stuff!
The three sonic movies grossed around 1.1 billion at the box office. The first Mario movie grossed 1.3 billion on it's own. Not sure what you are trying to suggest here. Mario is a much bigger franchise than Sonic. And all the videogames sales figures only underline that.Mario Kart 8 absolutely crushed Team Sonic Racing in terms of sales but i think Sega will reduce the gap a little bit with cross worlds for several reasons.
(MKW will still crush Sonic Racing though)
1/Cross Play
2/Available in even more platforms
3/Season pass (new content will keep the game alive a bit longer)
4/Sonic is bigger than ever (even more movies have been announced)
5/ Less than 90€, bitches![]()
