Quick and dirty observations on some of the new X-Men:

Wolverine - Roughly on par with the 4400 cost BO characters in terms of damage. Not as bursty as Proxima or Supergiant, but way better defense than any of them. Like I mentioned before, will be unkillable with an invincibility obelisk. Pretty much guaranteed to be the best combat character in the game. Poor Agent Venom barely had time to enjoy that title.

Magneto - Really good damage (without even factoring his T2 bonus to humans) and his i-frames and CC make him great for TL (though I wouldn't gear him for that). Definitely the character to invest your materials into first from the T1 portion of the mutant roster.

Jean - Lmao! It's Marvel vs. Capcom 3 all over again. She can beat Odin, Strange, Dormammu in TL on auto. And apparently 12-8 on auto as well.

Quoting for new page with some small updates on some of the rest:

Rogue - Damage output is only decent, but she has good survivability. Don't see her being the new speed meta.

Cyclops - WHOA! His channeled 5th skill has constant hitstun so you can just hold the button down in SL and watch the enemies' health whittle down to zero.

Storm - She has a similar channeled move like Cyclops, but it doesn't seem to lock enemies as well. Crazy good aoe damage.

I'm kinda surprised we didn't get any X-Unis yet. I assume we'll get bombarded with them eventually. Especially with how much this update wants to bleed everyone's crystal stashes dry.

Maybe they wanted to give people a chance to unlock the characters first? *Shrug* ¯_(&#12484_/¯

I'd love to get Young X-Men's white outfits and Mag's black outfit. However, if we get Young X unis it will probably be the current X-Men Blue suits.

I will buy every Young!Jean they offer me.

Good that they're rebalancing the shard drops. With them being the shared material used for all masteries, reaching T2 for all chars was going to take a really long time precisely because of shards.
Of all the new resources, they might be the worst right now.

It's all fine and dandy till you get to the final three research missions. If you haven't purchased the Magneto pack, you're looking at months of farming. Even with it, it's still at least a month.

I'm so dumb. I just realized that you can get 10 bios (or more if you get double on a run) for each tracking mission. For some stupid reason I thought you could only get 10 bios a day from the missions overall. :|

That's at least 20 Rogue bios I should have gotten. At least I realized it now rather than later, lol.

edit: What's the best method to leveling characters quickly? Trying to get Magneto to 60.

BAM won't be a problem for me once I finally get there, but I'm sure the new mats are going to hold me up. I already made the r4 and r6 BAM needed and I still have 3,000 rank 1 lol.

The last native T2 character I ranked up was Proxima (Dorm before her), since then I haven't used BAM for anything. Also I got lucky and ended up with a r4 from World Boss drops.

I had a rank 6 BAM sitting in my inventory, but I don't even remember making it. For some reason I thought I got it as a drop from ithanos but I tried looking for his loot table and I didn't see r6 BAM on it.

BAM is a slow crawl for me as well.

To make matters worse, I took a long break from WB after Strange update because I got burnt out on it. Eventually my characters became so strong that I can beat everyone but iThanos 5/5 in 30-90 seconds, so it's no longer a drag. As a result, my only native T2s I've built are: Strange, Proxima (only 15 gears) and Dormammu (only 15 gears).

I'm struggling within BAM too. Got up to the quest where I need 5 rank 4 BAM.
I'd been ploughing mine into characters, I maxed out Proxima, Strange, Thanos and got Dormammu to 19/19/19/19 and Odin to three stars.

What do y'all run when farming Special Missions?

I've been running stage 2 to try and squeeze as many in as I can in the small time limit (I do the same for Rifts unless we need a boost to hit 100%), but IDK if that's the most efficient or not. Would higher difficulties drop more bios to offset taking longer to complete?

I'm still on the weak side with enhancement systems (little to no ignore defense from current cards, non-awakened ISOs, mediocre gears w/ only 3 ID drops in the entire lifespan of the game, no uru used yet, etc...), so my times aren't anything great. I don't have Odin either. Today I discovered that my fastest clearer is T2 Suit Bolt @ ~40 seconds on the clock per Stage 2 Auto-run.

Always take the BAM rewards for SL. Beyond that, nothing special. I still have three more of the BO characters to fully rank, but I'm sitting on 20k+ right now. Did you rank Strange's uniform to Mythic? That would be a big drain right there.

If you can do stage 3 in about 40 seconds, switch to that. Once you get up to the 50s in clear time, go back down.

Is the facebook friends crystal rewards just having the required number of friends on the linked facebook account, or do you have to add them in a different way? I added some friends on a group but I don't see them counted in the challenge yet.

edit: Just read you have to disconnect your facebook then reconnect for the numbers to update.
edit2: Woohoo, got all the crystal rewards. I'm glad I never did that until the X-Men update, haha.


edit3: Hit another wall today in the epic quest. Thanks to getting more crystals I bought the 5* offer for Storm to get her from 3*. I used my 5* ticket on Rogue. I'll have to wait until Tuesday to get the MRUT and use it on Cyclops. I'll probably end up buying the same 5* pack for Beast. After that the only thing that will really hold me back for awhile will be the M'kraan Crystals. I feel like that is going to take forever. I'll probably start converting them daily.

Yea Enchantress is top tier. She's one of 3 characters that can crowd control world bosses.

Well, I just hit the major roadblock in the epic quest, 1,000 M'Kraan Crystals. It will take me around 20 days of farming to get that.

If you mean the ones from the daily selector, yes indeed. just used it on Enchantress.

There is another type of mission that unlocks separate from the tracking missions (think the Dark Dimension in the Dr. Strange quest if you've gotten that far) that unlocks them. You can also unlock them from the premium Magneto missions and craft them with your converter in the shield lab.
