They let Dethlok appear in that goofy ass costume in Agents of Shield, I'm fairly sure they're not invested enough in the character to do a Netflix related reboot. Pretty much anything they OK for that show is bottom of the barrel stuff.

Moon Knight could be cool, and Punisher is pretty much inevitable at this point, but I don't really think there's enough meat behind Deathlok or Spider-Woman to really sustain a series.

Unless they completely drop the Agents of SHIELD version of the former and there's an actual interesting mythos to the latter that I've never seen.

Deathlok is 40 years old, and basically becomes the name of a covert weapons program/ software. Go with the McDuffie version and do it like a mix of robocop/Terminator + espionage. The show writes itself and would make me forget about the horrible AoS version.

2018: Moon Knight with Bushman as the main villain
2018: The Punisher with JIGSAW as the main villain
2019: Deathlok with Fixer as the main villain
2019: Spider-Woman with Madame HYDRA as the main villain

I'd be down for this. Go with Michael Collins Deathlok and let Agents of Sheild keep their Deathlok lite.

All I hope is that there's a lot of thematic variety. In the comics the tone of a lot of runs and characters feel really different. Some dark stuff, some light and silly stuff. Comedy, horror, etc...; Would be good if they had a nice mix so it's not just POPCORN SUPERHERO or DARKER TV SUPERHERO.

Hoping JJ will bring the comedy/humor to counter DD's seriousness.

Marvel owns all live action TV rights last I heard (heck, all TV rights peirod I think now). Which is why Fox is having to negotiate with Marvel for the license to their planned X-men show.

Don't know if it gives them carte blanche to do whatever they want though.

Seriously though, hair dye/wigs and contacts are great... They just need an Asian actress with an onion booty who's a good choice for the role.

I'm still laughing about how people here consider "onion booty" to be so important a characteristic, especially since that exact phrase was repeated more than once.

Oh, my sweet summer child.

I've read Alias. JJ (in the comics) is a very funny dark comedy show with a a single short serious arc which is the weakest part of the entire run because JJ as a character works far better as a comedy. If the TV show is not hilariously funny every ep outside the 2ep finale, then they've completely missed the point of Bendis' comic.

And anyhow, them going with a serious dark show in JJ after an already serious show Daredevil would be boring and lack variety, which is about the worst thing they can do if they make all these series feel the exact same when they have a chance to have a varied diverse lineup of genre with their superhero netflix shows. I mean hell, give me an Agent X + Taskmaster goofball low-rent assassin's comedy to appeal to the stoner comedy crowd.

Probably not true in the slightest, but hey let's talk about it.

I don't buy any of it.

Moon Knight and Punisher seem reasonable, but I don't buy Deathlok and I certainly don't buy Spider-Woman. Too costly given how much CGI would be necessary to make quality shows with those characters. Also, MCU Spiderman hasn't even been established. They'll get a sequel out at the most (not counting Avengers movies) by the time Spider-Woman is supposed to be a thing.

Nope, not buying it.

Spider-Man will be established next Spring and hes completly unrelated to Spider-Woman.

Man, Deathlok has to be based on McDuffys book.

I don't consider one movie to suffice for a character to be established enough in the MCU to have other media introduce and use characters based on spinoffs from that property. Certainly not in the MCU and definitely not for Spiderman, which Marvel is being very meticulous about establishing as he will likely be their biggest star going forward as they phase out the original MCU Avengers.

Spider-Woman is unrelated enough to Spider-Man to be established without him. Her Origin is tied to Hydra and SHIELD, bringing Jessica to the MCU would work perfectly without introducing Peter Parker in the next 100 years.

She still falls under the Spiderman brand, which is why I don't see Marvel greenlighting a show based on her any time soon. They've got a lot of work to do with Spiderman and I don't see them risking consumers confusing the two and what they mean to each other.

Yes, People just need to see the first episode and they arent confused anymore, people arent that stupid.

Yeah, I only included it because I thought its use by the person I quoted was funny.

Seriously, though, they just need a good Asian actress... natural hair and eye colors are nonfactors.

Nobody wants Deathlok.
They also would not do Spider Woman, especially by the time that rolled around unless they are doing the pregnant mom Spider Woman that the new series will be about.
Punisher I am sure is a given. Moon Knight would be amazing. I would rather see Blade/Morbius/Ghost Rider in there for a slot.

Not to spoil anything but that would be redundant if Marvel going to follow through with the original series

There is a Deathlok for everybody

I know, that Supergirl show is just making everybody go "Whaaaaat?" and walking into walls in confusion and stuff.

Spider Woman is interesting because other than the name, they literally have nothing to do with each other. Different powers, different origins, and she was totally west coast.

She sucks ass though, every Spider Woman that has followed her has been infinitely better.

Do you watch Agents of Shield?

I know there is a Deathlok, but I dont think he gets enough room like he would get in a Solo series, which could adapt McDuffys great Deathlok series.

And just wait until Flash joins the Movie Justice League.

Right, but how many people will watch it and how many will remain ignorant not only in the months leading up to the show but after? Not everyone jumps in immediately when new shows are released. The months leading to it can also be potentially damaging depending on how mature the shows can be.

Mahvel wants Spidey to appeal to kids and parents who can buy them toys. I don't see them greenlighting a Spider-Woman show until Spidey has at least two sequels and is established properly in the MCU.

I guess we'll have to wait and see on that.

Supergirl is a far better known and established character in pop culture than Spider-Woman. WB still didn't give her her own DCCU connected show just after the first MoS movie and they probably wouldn't either if they had plans for DCCU connected TV shows.

Dumb question but does Marvel have any rumblings of an actual superhero show ala The Flash? I love the street level heroes too (BRING ME CLOAK & DAGGER) but I'd like them to jump in big soon with something that is apologetically SUPERHERO. :)

Well the upcoming season of AoS is based on Secret Wars/Inhumanity and alot of the cast has super powers and code names

Maybe Cloak's powers are too strong to make an effective show? I mean, they'd basically have to nerf him for anything but the god like threats to really threaten him.

Keep it at original series levels and it's not a hard play at all. I need Tyrone and Tandy. Stat. <3
