Sunspot is rad, but I still think Team-Ups are lame and cost too much money for what they are, so meh. Seeing him playable one day would be cool.

I mean they may very well say it's bob or you can pretend it's bob. If there was no generic shield guy there I would say it's bob, this way just looks like generic fodder part of some event like those hydra skins

Having a generic Hydra goon teamup instead of Bob would be absolutely unacceptable and the worst thing Gaz has ever done

I've come down from my initial Kitty disappointment. I very much want to play as Kitty in a video game, even a flawed version, so I will.

But I'm going to run a Heartbreaker (converts all crits to bruts) build in memory of her poor design and execution. Doomsaw, brutally awesome summer shades, ultimate nullifier...

Edit: apparently on TC they changed Heartbreaker so it merely always crits. I think I'm out again. Or is a guaranteed crit power a suitable base for a brutal build?

It's locked up now since it was a previous test center thread post.

Basically he said that they went with the teleport that she has because it makes sense game-wise even though it might not make sense lore-wise.

Same with everything else (game more important than lore). They gave one of her builds DOTs to make that build competitive vs. the others, her signature will be worked on etc. He has a new post today.

Re: Choices - I'll quote my original post in yesterday's thread:

Very early on, we could tell Kitty fans had several different views of how she should feel and play, specifically in regards to which eras were represented. Many players voiced that they did not want to use Lockheed at all in any capacity. Suggestions and cover art of her wielding the katana from Shadow & Flame were aplenty as well, along with those who were against having swordplay in her kit.
We wanted to make sure we supported all of these fanbases. There are many mirrored elements between katana and phase-brawling powers, making them a more artistic preference choice. We may still be adding mechanics to better separate them, but it should always be viable to go either way. Similarly, her 3 DoT applicators applying the same stack was intended to allow for artistic and gameplay preference, rather than players being forced into a power they may not enjoy.

This is absolutely something we are going to maintain and iterate upon, and we'd like your help and feedback to do so. Players should be able to choose to not use the katana if they don't want to, or not use Lockheed if they are not familiar with the character, and all of those should be viable and fun.

The current iteration of Kitty Pryde is a significant improvement (but still underwater). It seems clear they're supportive of a brutal build in her phasing tree given the bonus crit damage from her AoE vuln tagger and guaranteed crits in her Nova-punch as well as Heartbreaker. But Heartbreaker itself seems quite undertuned at the moment; I was bruting for a whopping 500k with decent gear. The signature is improving but hopefully they will go full X-23/Nightcrawler style. Nevertheless her basic melee build should suffice once finalized.

I'm open to a Lockheed build in principle but there's no Ice Climbers-esque desynchronization whatsoever, which is disappointing. Plus hybrid gear doesn't synergize with a brutal build.

The movement power situation is still a debacle; they've added Vision's teleport so she's got three for the moment. Both it and the shadowstep still feel wrong but at least air walking is awesome. Perhaps if they could tweak the shadowstep into being slower and snapping to mouse location then it would be alright.

Just wanted to give you a schedule update for Kitty Pryde!

Kitty Pryde has some changes coming through such as Lockheed auto-attacking with fireballs and a brand new movement power. In light of these changes, and a few others, we're opting to hold Kitty until early next week to make these changes before she launches.

So what that means for this week is that she will NOT be on Test Center tomorrow so we can focus on getting the Mystic Mayhem, Black Panther and other changes out the door.

Just wanted to give everybody a heads up so there was no confusion when TC patches tomorrow and Kitty has vanished!

To be frank I'm disgusted they're locking away yet another unique team-up behind FCs. Let's hope the SHIELD agent is identical except for the visuals and purchasable with splinters or something.

Well, all of this looks about as lame as it did when it leaked. I miss logging in to this game every day, even when it would take me 30+ minutes to get past a log-in screen; not even bothering with that at this point.

Maybe Advance Pack 3 will be less terrible than I'm expecting and I'll be back in? I believe in you Gaz.

I'm...really bad at noticing when messages come in. It probably isn't helping that my Steam client is open that often these days.

I'm glad Slott/Allred are continuing Silver Surfer- maybe there's hope for Cosmic to be readable again one day yet, and I'm a big fan of both Lemire and Moon Knight, so I'm looking forward to that.

Also, holy shit do the X-Men seem like a bunch of real shitbags in that preview. "Fuck you, Jean- you're not allowed to try and be normal after the traumatic shit we've put you through, now buck up and come back to being our child soldier, we have Gene Trash to rescue." Blegh.

Did you see we're getting a new Starlin Adam Warlock mini and a Mockingbird Ongoing?Man, this relauch just seems cooler and cooler all the time.

Coming with patch. Limbo scrolls arent limited at 1963 and 63 for double. Its now unlimited and they have increased the drop chance.

Last boss of limbo drops a guaranteed coffer.

Spidergwen team up and costume and spider man qol comes october.

Sunspot team up is next week.

October is going to be a loaded month. Starts off with Kitty and Sunspot and ends with Spider-Gwen, Deadpool review, Spider-Man mini-review, and Blade. Possibly Danger Room.

The reviews have usually been on point, yeah? Too bad it's Deadpool. Seeing what they've done with Kitty doesn't get me excited for Blade and I have severely tempered my expectations for Danger Room.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about Deadpool. He was last for a reason and they've had a plan for him. Spidey can really only get better, so it's only Blade we need to worry about.

Yeah I don't like the Fortune Card exclusives either but they gotta make that money. I'm still sour I didn't get my special Captain Marvel costume from the recent FCs.

I do still like the green venom suit but knowing my luck I'd end up with that uggo fucking wolverine nonsense, and I don't even like playing Wolverine.
