Not sure how pumped I am about Ant-Man's abilities. That might change when I actually play with him, though.
Mostly just been playing lately for PvP and then doing some light PvE work, aside from the usual daily Deadpool stuff.
Recently topped 1,100 hrs in it, too, according to Steam.

Stupid question time. When I view the official forums and look at the powers listed like so:
Pym Particles - 9
urple: AP
Ant-Man uses Pym Particles to shrink down and cause pint-sized chaos. Creates a Purple Trap tile that creates 2 strength 26 Purple Attack tiles each turn. While this Trap tile is on the board, this power becomes Grow.
Level 2: Creates 2 strength 43 Attack tiles each turn.
Level 3: Creates 2 strength 55 Attack tiles each turn.
Level 4: Creates 3 strength 55 Attack tiles each turn.
Level 5: Creates 3 strength 85 Attack tiles each turn.
Max Level
Level 3: Creates 2 strength 109 Attack tiles each turn.
Level 4: Creates 3 strength 109 Attack tiles each turn.
Level 5: Creates 3 strength 171 Attack tiles each turn.
What is the difference here between Level 3 and "Max Level" Level 3? Does this mean the powers increase when the character is at his max level such as 166.

I am absolutely loving the Iron Fist + Luke Cage combo on a team. It's so good. Iron Fist has a cheap way to create black tiles, generate some attack tiles along the way. Luke Cage can then eat those black tiles to absolutely DEMOLISH someone with Jab-Jab-Cross. Throw in Daredevil or someone to cover pink and you have a "street level" team of heroes that just wreck shit.

yeah, ran into that earlier also. Just tapping puts them in, but it was definitely weird when I'm used to them auto-populating.
That's my dream team paring there. Throw in Falcon instead of Daredevil-he uses purple for more shields AND his yellow can make Iron Fists's tile even stronger.

Huh, I just got a purple cover for falcon (putting me at 1b 1p). I'll give that a try.

I'll never let go of Spidey, Patch, and Daredevil. Ferocious team killing group there.

Ant-Man event is live.
Jesus, the Simulator is fucking brutal. I shielded myself last night so I wouldn't get attacked overnight. I'm at 1911 points out of 2000 and every victory I get, after I win I see that I was attacked. It's like 2 steps forward, 1 1/2 steps back-It's so hard to make any progreess, but I'm so close. I'm spending all my ISO on boosts and I just shielded again to let my health packs recharge and heroes heal. If these fuckers would stop attacking me and let me just get my Cover, they can attack me all they want afterwards-just let me get my cover!

And fair warning, the third mission is actually a 4 wave one. I didn't notice and took in the wrong team. Whoops.
It's freaky hard, too. When I got to Wave 3, I managed to 1-shot Deadpool, but then Ragnarok + Thor kept spamming their abilities like crazy and 1-shot my entire team. That was ridiculously devastating.

Yeah, I went in with GSBW, BP & LThor and got destroyed by round 3.
Do I finally have a chance to use all of those color boosts I've been hoarding since last spring??
I kept going with Hulk, Black Panther and GSBW. I'll have to maybe use some of those boosts, too, see if it helps any.

You need a healer and ap stealer. I used kamala, daredevil, and obw. They were almost full health at the end.
Surely you mean red/blue, right? having anyone else take purple with fist in MADNESS

Huh...Ant man is pretty fun. His steal ability is pretty neat and I enjoy using the "Grow" attack a lot. Purple/Blue/Yellow is an odd combo though to build teams for plus he's a mix of interference specialist and gradual damage. Grow is neat and all but it doesn't get fueled easily considering you often end up in scenarios where the only way to net enough fuel to use Grow is to pop the tile on the board that would end up returning the abilty back to either Ants Ants Ants or Small time Crook.
I'm thinking I'd enjoy running Antman/Patch as a new method to make use of the tiles Patch gives the enemy. Should be cheaper than the old Patch/Loki tactic to pull off. I'm thinking my team for Antman may be Antman/Patch/Falcon to simply maximize the tile damage, steal enemy tools, and to occassionally flood the board with defense.
Definitely could see him meaning red/Blue. Fist needs that purple (does look like pink lol) to keep sending out black fuel and to dish out damage once maxed on black. Daredevil would be nasty though because his red ability makes them screwed if they try to run opposite colors from Cage/Iron Fist. They'd pretty much be running a match of chasing the same colors as your team and with Daredevil's Blue popping out stuns thats not a race they'd win easily. Even if they ran Lazy Thor and chased Yellows to fill the board with green the green plays in Fist's favor and no way could they chase red in that scenario due to Ambush.
Only reason to use Radar Sense would be if they used someone like Patch and you wanted to make them regret attempting tile placing on you. Then ...yeah sure. If theres a bunch of enemy strike tiles just grin, use DD and laugh as their tools explode and they die.

All this talk makes me want to spend hp on covers. I can bring Luke Cage to 117 but Fist and Kk only to 78.

I was fucking around till then...ended up beating it with Iron Fist/Lazy Thor/Patch and Patch is the only one with the proper covers since Iron fist is like 3/4/4 and my L. Thor is something like 4/5/3
Took that one using C. Mags/ Antman/ Loki
Reasoning was that if Antman had a theft ability I felt there would be tile placers in that wave and didn't think he could handle it by himself. So I got a backup blue user in C.Mags who could also cover red and give us occasional shields and Loki to convert enemy stuff, steal AP, and very rarely use his shuffle if we needed a wildcard.
It was an ASS team but I didn't think up Falcon/Patch/Antman until AFTER I played it and won lol. It worked but it was sloooooooooow as fuck with Loki/C. Mags. They tripped over each other a lot. The redundancy was great and needed by the end but I feel faster offense via Patch would have been better by FAR than the slog I did. Probably would have been best to just Patch/Loki combo the thing and say Fuck Antman tactics.
That kind of 1 character/2 goon node is the only time I could see stealing the remaining patch tiles to really be that effective. Taking the 1-2k hits if the enemy can actually match tiles while you steal them back 1 by 1 is just asking for patch to be killed with his pathetically low health.
(I tried loki patch for it, loki and antman died to the caltrops before I could cast a single power)

Erg, blue, yes. Luke and Fist don't have blue covered. Fists purple power is both amazing AND cheap.
I muscled through with fistbuster....was starting to get a bit difficult to get the punch up in time to take out the actual character the last 2 waves, with the matching and attack tile each doing almost 3k though

Whew, ran the 5 Ant-Man nodes on the first try and got my cover.
Last node was Ant-Man/X-Force/Iron Fist, and I only had X-Force at the end, thanks to his healing.

edit: I do like the glitch I capture with his powers on the right

I only had ant man left at the end. Luckily, I could use grow power on the last enemy.
what level are you seeing?
it's a shame your loki doesn't have 1-2 more black covers.
at 3 only converting 3 you can't use him very well with a max green patch (I mean technically using his black would negate the other strike tiles and you have a chance to remove some more via match but it's way more effective when you can make all of the enemy strike tiles your defense tiles)
I'm not sure what I would do, I'd maybe try daken and patch and hope ant man can steal enough tiles, but doc oc will likely destroy you by activing his black passive for massive attack tiles thanks to daken dropping special tiles all over the place.

Ah ok, you must be talking about the battle after the 4 wave one. I'm still struggling with that.
looking at what you have I would be tempted to go
3* mags
3 star Cap
and Falcon for a team that can constantly put down protect tiles and have a few hard hitting moves.
patch + loki always serves me well in waves as well since 9 green plus 11 black = high damage per match and lots of defense.
alternatively aside from falcon you could use 2 star widow to have a way to heal. or 3 star spider man also gives you heal plus protect tiles but you would have to pump some levels into him.

Thanks for the advice! I managed to get down to a low health Deadpool on round 3 using this team but he Whaled me and I was done. My Falcon was an admittedly low level (100).
I don't usually do the Gauntlets so this is the toughest match I've seen in a while.

I just got destroyed for the fourth time on that waved event. Brutal.
Edit: And that's five. I think I may just not be able to do this one.
