Marvel Studios’ Eternals | Official Teaser

I haven't hated anything Marvels done yet so they get the benefit of the doubt but this didnt look great at al to me. I hope I am pleasantly surprised.

I am ready to begin the next phase, but the only thing I liked about this trailer was the shot of ancient Babylon.

Also to say you have not interfered but have guided all along is dumb. You can't guide without interfering.

So it's just a bunch of godlike characters fucking around for millennia?

What the hell is this teaser?

[In for Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek though]

I won't be watching anymore trailers like usual. 90 seconds is enough to tell the direction/vibe this movie is going for.

Can't wait.

It's literally a teaser that is meant to give you an idea of what the Eternals are, an immortal race that has been around for thousands of years. That's literally all this video is meant to do. You MCU haters are funny as ya'll.

It has an amazingly talented director and amazing acting talent.

As if they need to name drop Steve and Tony because they "think their own film looks terrible". It's the quickest and fastest way to help audiences understand where in the time line the film primarily takes place. You wouldn't believe how many casuals get confused by the words "the snap" or "the blip".

I've read marvel comics most of my life and I couldn't tell you who a single person in that trailer is.

What happened to the Inhumans? Did agents of shield kill that idea?

Also, I'd rather have a Starjammers movie than this.

Used to be a marvel comic book reader in the 90s. I don't think I recognized most of the people in that trailer. Probably not going to watch this, but then again, I wasn't a big fan of most of the recent MCU movies.

Teaser was a bit boring but I like the visuals and the concept. I wonder if the story will be any good though.

And Ms Marvel might be out first introduction to the Inhumans for the MCU. Really curious to see her origin.

Wasn't her origin was in her own film?

No way I'm watching that crap again to check.

EDIT: Confused with Captain Marvel.

I have not seen a single one of her movies, just checked on imdb and damn, they are very highly rated.
Last one won an oscar, but by those posters I am sensing what kind of narrative she deals with.

The majority of the land/sea/air of the world they are building looks so yellow-brown. There were moments of interesting color, but this is my same fear for D.Villeneuve's Dune. Mostly dull colouration to contrast snippets of scenes featuring bountiful color.

Not knowing about these characters doesn't help, but I didn't know anything about Starlord or Drax or Gamora either back in the day and I like them now! MCU can't miss, right?

...right?

Getting serious wonder woman vibes from the plot, ancient supers trying just to fit in.

But unlike wonder woman I have no idea who any of them are, and no interest in finding out.

Still no clue what the hell this is about. What made them decide to interfere all of a sudden if snapping half of existence away wasn't big? Shouldn't some of them have been snapped out as well? So confused.

Will watch because it's Marvel and I'm sure this is the one that is The stepping stone for next phase.

Its probably a simple answer.
"We did not interfere, after thanos we realized that was not a good decision."

Comic book movies have typically been fun escapism, but this stuff is starting to feel like it's getting too big for its britches. It's hard to look at a teaser like this and get any kind of a feeling "this will keep the fascinating Marvel world moving forward" but then, I suppose, it IS just a teaser. Anyway as another poster above said, they did a great job pulling Guardians of the Galaxy out of deep left field, so there is some pretense. Not gonna judge for now, but not really interested in the meantime.
