Yes, more Secret Avengers than Thunderbolts. And the point of the Thunderbolts was they were villains pulling off their own plot, they aren't the Suicide Squad.

Im holding out some weird hope here that they will do some kind of shock "twist" just like they did in the comics. Maybe these arent the real Thunderbolts? Maybe they are all Skrulls. And when they do the surprise reveal then the REAL Thunderbolts show up and kick their asses.

If they are doubling down on that Fake Taskmaster (who really should have been Headmistress in the BW movie) then I'm out. If they'll bring us Tony Masters - even if with a different origin story, i.e. a chip implanted in his brain and that's why they started the Taskmaster protocol - then I'm back in.
Other than that pretty underwhelming performance by Marvel/Lucas/"20th Century" (the latter was really just Avatar). This is following the underwhelming Games panel and the Disney/Pixar panel (this one maybe had 3-4 announcements). Unless they blow the roof off tomorrow with a new Disneyland somewhere or a 5th gate in Orlando then this D23 is quite underwhelming. Makes me think they will have another Investor day in December.

The fuck was the point in bringing back Abomination if he's not on this team? BS a way for Executioner to somehow survived Ragnarok. Get Vulture, get someone from AoS or the Netflix shows.

We assumed it would be a villain base team based on the comics, our assumptions might be incorrect as it seems more like a Secret Avengers team.
Abomination was brought back and The Leader was brought back, we also have an ongoing story with Hulk going on, I'm sure things will lead to something.

Yes! Taskmaster! Everyone wanted that character back after such an impactful showing in Black Widow. I cannot wait! YAY!
