During a live Facebook Q&A, when asked if he'd be in San Diego, "Guardians Of The Galaxy" director James Gunn stated: "I'm not sure. Marvel isn't going so I'm not sure I will either."
It's pretty big news, as there was already some chatter the comic company would unveil the new Spider-Man at the event. But this is also not unprecedented. The company announced their big Phase Three plans last fall on their own, and our guess is that this year, they will be saving more details on their upcoming slate at Disney's bi-annual D23 conference in August. But this is still a blow to fans who were hoping to catch a glimpse of their superhero faves in San Diego.
