Wow. Way to spoil how the film will play out, teaser.
So clearly the team will get sucked into a universe where they have shawarma for fingers and John Walker becomes a master chef with the aid of an alternate Rocket Raccoon who controls John's cooking like a puppet, Bucky gets possessed by Mephisto and starts making people slowly behead themselves with piano wire, and Yelena is crowned queen by the cult of Doom and has Valentina placed in a disemboweled bear's body and burned alive and Yelena watches as she gives a crazed smile. Cue credits.
The asterisk in the title will fade away to reveal the full title:
Disney's Thunderbolts (co-produced by A24)
She has some of the wildest swings in hottness.

I really want to see this one![]()
This is how I feel about 99% of this entire genre, and yet I've liked some of the characters/stories.Don't think I come across anyone in real life who ever mentioned or care about any of these characters.
Same!
This is the first marvel movie I've looked forward to in a long ass time. I hope it delivers
It's surprising due to how I thought this looked lame from the beginning but looking at how they are marketing it, the movie actually looking fun. Not to mention The Sentry/Void looking amazing has sold me on this movie. I just think it should have been Rated R![]()
Maybe that's the joke. Final act the thunderbolts are all laid out, then we just see the feet of all the avengers beating the bad guy.Not sure you need to add spoilers there.
That's been shown in the trailers. "both" characters as well.
I just don't know how a team like the Thunderbolts can take on a threat that rip through the Avengers with ease. Seems like way too much for the Thunderbolts to handle.
For me, I love the idea of a team that isn't "super" but fighting someone so powerful. I also really like the guy from stranger thingsYeah same here, I hope it delivers

If you watch the trailer with close-caption enabled you can actually hear the editor saying "CGI that ghost character into this shot, it's too obvious she's dead, I can't believe we forgot she was even in the film for the last three trailers, no not her corpse, make her look less dead, perfect."
You mean Taskmaster. Ghost is in plenty of scenes in these trailers.
Old Russian guy is on the chopping block imoThe characters are all so meh (except you winter solider) that knowing Marvel will probably not give two shits about killing them off (shh, not you Bucky, it's fine) makes the film somewhat appealing, their is 0% chance all of them make it out of the film.

generic female villain who isn't a good villain because Disney don't want to make women unlikable

Unlikable? Sounds more like patriotism and a desire to defeat the oppressive Wakandan monopoly on a natural resource they refuse to use for global benefit. Not a very good argument when this movie contains Valentina:

Tried to manipulate Yelena into killing Hawkeye, backstabbed Everett Ross, and fully admits that if she gained access to Wakanda's vibranium that she would use it to bring the rest of the world under her country's thumb. I'm going to say, um, she might just be a TAD unlikable.

And wow, I am soooooo out of touch with post Endgame MCU. I thought Grillos character eventually became Taskmaster, I totally wiped almost all of Black Widow from my mind (well, I'm not even sure I finished it) to realize Olga Kurylenko was playing that role.
Wakanda is a HIGHLY xenophobic totalitarian regime, perpetuated by a viscous blood sport cycle of male violence selecting only the most savage and ruthless to be their leader, that infiltrates outside cultures but violently suppresses any attempt of their members to leave or grow away from their influence. They hoard a natural resource for themselves, depriving their own region of the benefits, much less the world.Sounds more like she's justifying the Wakandan's reluctance to share vibranium. I didn't realize patriotism meant the desire to see a democracy transform into a borderline empire.
Seriously, bro, come on.
Wakanda: small nation that is highly advanced but does not impose themselves in other nations aside from minor incidents like claiming Zemo must be their prisoner (and to be fair, the Avengers themselves have broken a few similar laws themselves)
Valentina: wants to advance the US' military powers through vibranium to such a degree she can threaten all other nations into doing what she wants
Death being so meaningless in the MCU, I figured he could come back. But yes, Crossbones was who I was thinking of for Taskmaster. That's not being out of touch with post Endgame, since Crossbones killed himself by activating the explosives on his vest in Civil War in a failed attempt to take Steve out as well.

The US at least establishes a fairly open world trade network, prevents overly egregious attempts to invade other countries, promotes democracy, womens rights, etc. It's utterly laughable to think that vibranium is in better hands with the Wakandans that it would be with the US. Who, by the way, have full access to hover carriers, iron man repulsor tech, and pym tech yet have not used it for world domination. It was european based Hydra that tried that. Though I am shocked the US allowed New Asgard to go to Norway instead of keeping those highly advanced refugees within the protective bosom of America where they could actually contribute to protecting their new homeland from the various interplanetary threats out there was well as try to preserve the nine realms they used to police and defend and which have BILLIONS of inhabitants. Those folks have responsibilities beyond being a tourist attraction, if only they had proper leadership instead of a drunk.
^^^^^Wakandan infiltrator agent detected! Not sure how you could POSSIBLY defend "election by combat" as a system of rulership, nor one that specifically excludes women. You sick misogynist! Vibranium is not a Wakandan invention, it is not "their's to give". It is a NATURAL RESOURCE OF EARTH. Not sure how you can justify their criminal hoarding of this resource.
Asgard needs a Douglas MacArthur figure, a "WE WILL BE BACK" leaving the Philippines type that doesn't just quit and lay down, but organizes, mobilizes, and recruits to build back stronger.
They need a General Zod.......
Meh, there's way too many people waiting to shit on movies before they are out.![]()
Thunderbolts Now on Track to Perform Worse than Captain America Brave New World in Latest Box Office Projection
Marvel’s next big film is on track to be the worst performing MCU since The Marvels. It could be the canary in the coal mine, truly. By all available metrics, Thunderbolts is shaping up to be a full-scale alarm bell for The Walt Disney Company. The anti-hero ensemble film, originally hyped as a...thatparkplace.com
