Went early to a Future Shop and the guy right ahead of me got the last SE, sooo much rage. They did randomly give away a blu-ray version of Daredevil though, but I'd rather have the SE, damnit.

Nope. Hell, I can't even get a confirmation that I can cancel the order. They're going to ignore me until it ships then say "If you want a refund, refuse the delivery." Terrible customer service.

Why don't you just go buy a version from somewhere, and when your shipped version arrives, return it to the store. Get full credit and win the game?
 
Wow, this is really disappointing: I get displaying W/L in ranked matches but player matches too? Makes no sense and will make the two modes indistinguishable people are going to fight in player matches just as cheap as those in ranked because of this, it's the same as FPS with K/D displayed regardless of the mode people will play just to boost that number.

Hope they get rid of it for player matches, makes no sense to have it there and just changes the entire dynamic

edit: just played anothe and it resets match to match...kind of pointless, but puts aside my worries. It's all good!
 
Loving it.

I know that it's 2011, and nobody cares about offline play, but just once I'd like to see a Capcom fighting game with 2nd player profile support when doing local VS. It's not too much to ask.
 
OMG! Training mode for 2 hours straight and noticed I had "network conditions" on 4 bars and not 5, hahahahahhaa.

Pretty ridiculous, the capcom blog said 99% chance of getting on release date, but looks like thats not happening. More like 20% chance of getting it on release.
Most peoples copies are still in Indiana, as of yesterday.

Amazon has the CE for PS3 and 360 available again. I ordered a PS3 one, for some reason my interest in this game went from nonexistant to "I gotta have it!" in the past few days. I'm fucking falling for GAF hype again and I don't even really like fighting games that much, what the fuck.

Gotta love how Gamestop makes such a huge deal about preorders, then hires people who have NO FUCKING IDEA what they're doing. They had me down for some stupid Tiger Woods shit and didn't give me an SE, so I went back and got my receipt to show them and they're out. Way. to. go.

word. Though my order is listed as having been shipped, the tracking information isn't particularly reassuring; simply says "in transit" from a few states away as of yesterday at 5:13pm. There's no activity listed for today as of yet... I'm going to be really bummed if it doesn't come soon. :(

Just had my first ranked opponent dc on me and no win record. Is this going to be an issue again? Does he get a loss for it? Or that's just how it goes? I haven't played many fighting games online recently.

I just checked it out and ordered one thinking that I'd be able to cancel my order with Capcom on the phone quickly, but I get some bullshit machine telling me that I have to leave my name and phone number to do this shit.

Fuck Capcom...

The real pathetic part is that the order information page is completely fried right now so I can't even see if the game shipped or not. What shitty service.

Unfortunately...sometimes they stick people with random preorders to up numbers. Still not sure why they are trying to push the whole "performance based store" thing, when reserves and subscriptions all depend on the customer...who usually just wants to buy a game/system/accessory and thats it. Its not like a car dealership where you know the person is there to buy a car, and it depends on you to actually make the sale. /rant.


...I hope someone put me aside a special edition lol.

That's dumb as HELL. They messed up the guy who was behind me too, but atleast he had the receipt with him. I went all the way back home to get mine, go back up, and they gave away my copy anyway. Great use of my time.

I read on IGN today about the DLC pack being released march 1st and including the 2 extra characters, shadow mode, and some additional costumes for 5 bucks. They also said that they were confused about the DLC in the special edition saying it was to be released march 15th. They also aren't sure if the other things in the pack are included. I even went to gamestop and they told me the same thing, that special editions may be getting screwed. Has anyone else heard of this?
 
Wow, this is going to be my new addiction for awhile. Some of my residents picked up my copy from Walmart at midnight while I was on desk duty and at 1am the matches begun. Had about 16 people playing this until 4am. Then I took some personal alone time with the game until 6am...now I'm playing between classes.

Just a slick package all together, exactly what I was expecting. Good job, Capcom.

The LE comes with a voucher for just two DLC characters, Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine. They will be available mid-march.

No, the two extra characters, Jill and Shuma, will be available March 15th.
 
I'm sure you guys know this already, but voting is up on Unity again.

...I voted for Green Goblin, Carnage, Doc Ock, Sandman and Psylocke. Yeah, I really like Spiderman and he needs some more villains in this.

Only thing we know for sure is that according to the SE, the first set of characters come out on March 15th. So, unless Capcom says something sooner, that's it. If Capcom screws SE buyers, that would be quite stupid. Opinions on the game are already quite varied. Capcom shooting themselves in the foot would just be fitting for them.

Then again...according to iplaywinner...

The first batch of DLC for Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be available starting March 1st! Leading the way will be a new costume pack, which appears to feature new alternate outfits for Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Ryu, Chris Redfield, and Dante, as well as the first Shadow Mode DLC pack. The Costume Pack will cost $5 on PSN or 400MS Points on Xbox Live. Also on the way are the first two DLC characters, Jill Vallentine and Shuma-Gorath. Capcom Unity implies that these will arrive on the 1st as well, but we've heard reports of March 15th. We will keep you updated when we get clarification.
