Anyone think there is a chance they'll add 5-10 new characters or more via DLC eventually or do we think it will be less than that? I love the game and it's awesome but I would pay every time if they kept adding new characters.
This is Capcom's most marketable game in the west in years

They're going to keep doing DLC until DLC stops selling, I'd imagine.

I'm officially in love with Dormammu.

My team at the moment is Dormammu(Black Hole) / Trish(Peekaboo) / Storm (Whirlwind)

Though I'm wondering whether I should keep Trish or Storm in there. Both are good, but I feel I could replace one with something a bit more, well, decent.

I'm using the same first two as you are. That peekaboo does great work with helping to cover Dorm's topside while I'm zoning with black hole and -> H. Also a really nasty trick that I've gotten to work a few times is launching Dorm's slow homing hyper and then teleporting behind the opponent just before it hits them...good times when it works.

I'm actually having trouble getting a third as well. I've been using Ironman so that I can use unibeam to help in my zoning game. Plus all three characters have beam supers so that I can just DHC whoever I want in safely as long as I can get the opponent blocking. But I'm not really thrilled with Ironman (I have lots of issues getting his launcher to work right) so I'm on the lookout for a better third. Might toss hulk in there just for massive damage lulz.

Sent with shades on is god tier. Also, did I ever mention how much I love funny crossover fan art?

I need invite someone who knows how to play this game. I am having such a hard time air comboing after the launcher.

I really like Super Skrull and Dr Doom. Weird that M.Bison isn't in this game but I can understand that charge characters would get mauled.

After playing against my wife for a few hours last night and a 5 player matches this morning, I really, really like the Hulk. He's strong and surprisingly fast so I find it easy to get in and out of combos with him. The last online match I played this morning really made me wish you could save replays--I was down to Hulk with between 1/3-1/4 of my health left and my opponent had all three of his team at around 1/2 health. I activated X-Factor and started dishing out hyper combos and pulled off the win.

Kinda hard not to be tempted to use Dante in this game. Jam session assist has good utility, and he's a good character to fall back on with level 3 x factor.

It turns out that Capcom finally ships my game out on release day after I send them an email asking for a cancellation. I'm lucky that I decided to cancel the amazon order instead. Now I don't have to worry about selling an extra CE down the road.

Yea, same here. So much for getting Amazon Prime. :/
Same here. I decided to cancel my order since it would take more than a week to get here. I was spending too much money anyway.

The button layout is also taking a bit of getting used to. Like if I have a move that looks like a heavy kick sometimes I'll push the A2 button because that was the heavy kick button in SF4.
I do the same thing but only with the SF characters. Last night I kept trying to hurricane kick using A2 while playing Ryu. It was ugly.

I'm trying to learn She-Hulk and my fingers hate the runner start input too. Down, Down, S, forward or back, then whatever does not come naturally. I played Fuerte in SF4 and his run was a lot easier to go in and out of. Hopefully I'll be able to train myself to the point where I can do it quickly. Comboing using her run into torpedo OTG is rough to get out quick enough.
I really disliked the input at first but I'm growing used to it. Try not to rush it. You have more time to input it mid-combo than you think. I mentioned earlier it's pretty easy to do torpedo OTG after an air combo if you do the air combo slowly -- the closer you are to the ground when you hit Exchange the more time you have to follow up with Run into OTG Torpedo.

I wasn't able to figure out (partially due to evil German beer) how to show the commands for the combos on screen in Training mode/Mission mode like in SSFIV where you would just hit select and the actual button's one would need to press to complete the combo show onscreen. This is much more convenient than going into the pause menu so I hope it's possible.
There's no option for that unfortunately. You have to go into the menu every time.

Speaking of OTG torpedo. You can follow up the 3rd motion of her Emerald Cannon with an X-Factor, then do OTG torpedo->Emerald Cannon. Unfortunately only the first hit works :(.

Also was hoping she could infinite with runner's start->cancelling, don't think it's possible. Even with X-Factor, I can only get it twice before opponent starts recovering.

Read about delayed guides here. Saw mine had yet to ship from Amazon, despite having ordered about a week ago. Cancelled Amazon order and picked it up at Gamestop. Guide is huge. Feels good man.

This day is painful, I was meant to leave work at 5:30pm but it looks like I will be staying till around 9~10pm. Why did MvC3 have to turn up to taunt meeeee!!

I will be staying up all night playing though fuck if I get tired.

Man this game is great, but the online features are fucking horrible. No quick rematch option? No damage scaling? Handicapping? Spectating? Seriously what the fuck, games going on the backburner til it's online can catch up to the past 4 years of fighters.

So I'm using Ammy and probably Wolverine. Who would be a good third for this team? Someone with a little more keep away or someone with a lot more health? I'm so bad at this.

Thought I was going to have an opp to play the game during my lunch, instead, went to buy guide and get dog food. I just want to play for like a day straight.

EDIT: Miss those old college days.

Fuck. My Amazon delayed my strat guide order. :/

Add me to this list too. Guess we were too hype on that $11.55 price. The SRK guide is at least pretty good. Learning some stuff and gradually making this one of the first fighting games I'm not offensively bad at. Hooray!

Having only played this a little bit and then seeing somebody play a match with Sentinel...does he seem extremely unbalanced or is it just me? Rocket Punches across the whole damn screen, a single button for a beam across the entire effin field. Disgusting.

Sanford must not know about xfactor.
Sanford's usage (or non-usage) of X-Factor definitely played in, but Nelson and Andre just flat out outplayed him. Chris definitely seems like the weak link in his team right now, because neither Nelson or Andre had problems getting in.
