I think zero's spinning attack might snuff her.
Didn't think of that. Its got a shot, but if you superjump with Silent Kill, there's pretty much nothing the opponent can do to locate you.

Its got a crazy hitbox too...

Zero gives me fits as X-23. Not sure what I'm doing wrong in that match up, he seems to stuff everything and then next thing I know I'm in some 80-hit combo and my girl is damn near dead lol. :(

Fuck I'm hitting that same wall that I hit in SSFIV.

at 8-30 I'm like the Cavs of MVC3. The one win I did get in this session was a time out.

I guess pure rushdown tactics aren't going to help me out much longer. I understand that but still it's soul crushing that in a matter of hours, I go from having fun win or lose to lose bitch lose. also once your reach fighter level you start to get matched up with lords and shit and man these dudes are vicious. There was one match in which I didn't even hit the ground once plus some matches I just gave up due to the epic shit they was pulling off. Stood there and took my ass beating like a man.

The fun of the game has left for now but I'm going to drop online mode until I get my shit together and actually put together a consistent team, learn how to pull of stuff when I need to ( soooo many matches where lost due to random buff hypers instead of any attack hyper).

I wish I could get consistent quarter circles down.

Hopefully I don't get discouraged but man, I feel it coming on.

If you're rushdown in this game, your execution needs to be airtight because you can't afford to get punished too much.

Just take it back to the training room and put in some work. Establish some bread and butter combos that suit you then get back in there. Its not supposed to be easy.

Are you playing on Xbox 360 and trying to connect to a ranked match?

Alrighty then!! Finally getting some consistency with Thor in the lab and on the field.

I learned your cancel his down + H into his mighty grab hyper and it extends the distance like a mother fucker.

I think that alone is my favorite hyper in the entire game.

Taskmaster is getting some love, I think characters with swords i,e, DANTE have almost too much range, like Taskmaster especially can hit from really really really far.

Wesker is still my homey!!

I think I found my team bitches?!?@!?

Also, everybody BUY THE GUIDE ITS FANTASTIC!@?!

I'm still not ready to commit to who my third should be, so much of the cast is viable and fun to play.

Zero
Deadpool
C.Viper/Arthur/Viewtiful Joe/Sentinel/Wolverine/Wesker/Dante

I'll just have to keep messing with those fighting for the third spot, but Viper has really been the one I like the most just for pure flexibility on her move set and ability to maneuver so well.

Question about combos for you guys:

When you do a BnB into a launcher, then a BnB in the air into a slam to the ground, what do you do after that? Is there anyway to hit them once you land to keep a combo going or can you only get them off the ground into a hyper? I try often to do a launch into tag in combos, but my opponents do the cancel so it ends up being pointless.

Also, I play a more rush down style, but I still have tons of fights end in time overs. Is it just me or does this game really need an extra 30 seconds or an infinite time option ?

Took it ranked online for the first time. Went 8-2, but I really need to learn to not play MvC 3 when it's late and I'm tired. I went from hitting clean air exchange combos to just flailing around wildly on the heavy attack button. Which actually ends up being pretty effective when you have Hulk batting X-Factor cleanup for your team. I'm glad that I picked up my 5 ranked wins in a row award, because as soon as other players start getting better I'm not going to be doing much winning.

I think everyone that I ran into was an all rushdown team. Tons of X-23, Wolverine, Dante and Ryu. My Dorm, Trish and Hulk team worked well, but I think I need to start Trish on point and only bring Dorm out when I get a little bit of meter and space.

Mashing heavy with Hulk in general is an effective tactic.

360 pad

working out better than I thought since dashing with AA eliminates the inability to dash with the analog stick, but I'm constantly hitting LT accidentally once things get heated and wasting meter

just got myself a super street fighter 4 tournament stick s at gamestop for 130 dollars(the one with ken and ryu on it.) it looks really sexy and nice!!! i was doing mission mode with dante for nearly 4 hours. it feels so good with the te stick and i was able to beat the galactus on normal with it....until i went online and got my butt kick by some dude. lol =p

Getting this game tomorrow - so hype.

How many people are actually scrubs, and since its day 4, will I get completely bodied, or do I still have a chance?

I mean in single player offline.

Seems like DY mentioned frame drop.. hmm, the 360 doesnt experience any of this does it?

Yes it does, usually during win screens and after some supers

I got my shit pushed in like it was no one's business. So, there are still scrubs like me out there :)

The level of play is already pretty great online. I thought I was doing pretty well until I got paired up with a dude who proceeded to body me 6 straight times. He was incredible with Wesker and totally made me respect that character a lot more.

Anyone else think Dragon Punch motions are borked in the game? I can't do them consistently as I can in other games. Turning on inputs shows I'm doing them correctly. It's as I have to do them slower and ride the game more on my stick.

In the gallery under endings there's a blank spot under sentinel, which ending is that?
Galactus Ending, when you lose don't press Start and just let the timer end. By then youll get the Galactus ending and that spot will have his name

Most characters can relaunch after an air series if they have a move that gets them to the ground fast, or do flight and repeat another air series. If you wanna be the best you can be with Zero, you need to learn the negative edge management shit with him with the mega blaster. After level 3 you can do that one move to the ground, and relaunch. Maximizing damage is the best thing you can do. Air exchanges are good for getting meter.
