Up or down, do we get more characters revealed tonight during the gameplay demonstration?
Just shows how much of a badass Sigma actually is. He might be beaten at the end of every game but man he was a monster. Even the scene with him vs Zero in X4 blew me away as a kid.
I'm actually probably going to be disappointed if we don't get him now lol.

I just need Dante. Megaman X, Dante, Strider is amazing and everything past that is like all the Christmas miracles.
It'd be amazing if they got Bass.EXE in with say Megaman Zero series Zero as the "Megaman 3" for this one.

A list of Lupinko's tweets were complied earlier by tirkaroKujo. Something I'd like to note, though, in addition to the X-Men character tweets possibly being more eulogies than hints: although the one tweet is listed at possibly being a hint at Proto Man or Vile, I'm pretty sure it was actually for X as that was the Ruby-Spears episode that had him in it.

It's coming out in late 2017 so I doubt there will be 50, I'm thinking thirty-something characters are in at launch with more being added as DLC to avoid the multiple versions thing.

Sigma did NOT get infected by Zero in anyway, so not even the punching on Zero's crystal on his helmet.
The Zero Virus is something that is developed later.
Lots of people think Zero infected Sigma with the Maverick Virus, which is not true.
The Zero Virus is something that comes up way later though, Zero never had the Zero Virus in the first place. He was just simply a Maverick influenced by the Maverick Virus.
The Zero Virus actually came into existence when Sigma merged his Sigma Virus with the Colony Virus form X5.

Remasters of older games made before Contest of Champions are exempt from the ban (as shown by Deadpool & the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games). Newly-made games from after CoC, like MvCI, are what's being impacted by the ban. Also, the fact that Wolverine was completely absent from the reveal (when he was front-&-center for the reveals of other MvC games) is pretty telling. The leaks that foretold the reveal of MvCI also said no Fox characters.

I'll say Dimps, they weren't as involved in SFV as they were with SFIV so I don't think they've had much to work on lately
I'm pretty sure it's been stated before that actually is what happened. I don't remember the exact source, but waaaaay too many sites mention it for it just to be fanon.
Dope. Thanks for clearing it up. I've always wondered about that. I could have sworn I read that somewhere though so maybe it was a retcon or translation issue.

1 assist would make sense as it being your second partner.
Going back to 2v2 I could see it going to 6 buttons, but on the other hand. I could see them keeping the 4 button. That's easier for the mass audience.

Yeah it's gonna be Wesker easy. A smart villain working with Ultron/Sigma is too easy of a fit for them not to.
Yeah, I'm hoping the calls for accessibility by the devs are on the money - I'd love a lower execution, slower paced MvC game that more people can enjoy.

also hoping for eighting but assuming this really wasn't some quick CG trailer thrown together in the span of a couple hours, the animation looks considerably subpar compared to their mvc3 cinematic trailers. so.....
