Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Characters and Stages Roster |DT2| oh dear...

I think there should be zero tolerance for leaking incorrect info, so I agree here.

I mean, it shouldn't be that simple, when 95% of the info you leaked is true and you were mis informed about one tiny 5%, i think it's worth thinking the checking if a permaban is really a fitting punishment.

The question is why now? His original roster leak didn't have Zero in it and we saw Zero at E3 and nothing happened.

Because he was missing 1 character on the capcom side so he got the benefit of the doubt. This is the first official confirmation his info is wrong.

Chuck Green is the better Dead Rising character and we'll never see him, because Frank ate his function (combo weapons)

Chuck Green was unpopular enough that not only did they do a 2 player coop dlc with playable frank west, they essentially rereleased dr2 with frank west in the lead role.

I posted like 8 times he leaked incorrect info on the mind stone and that's prob why he got banned.

I'm not talking about the roster.

the dlc was gonna happen anyway to bridge the story going forward.

Plus you forget player 2 for online in Off the Record was Chuck. ;o

I really don't like Spider-Man's face/head. Something is wrong with it. Eyes wrap halfway around his damn head. And maybe they could have updated his outfit at least a little bit. And given him some form of facial animation, either through the eyes or mouth area.

Frank West is far superior to Chuck. Though I'd be okay with him being a second rep with a different set of makeshift weapons.

Why do people think Chuck's even disliked at all? He was in the DR3 DLC and
even the game itself

Just, Frank is the poster boy of DR is all this really comes down too.

Still, Chuck would have been perfect as the alt costume/skin.

if it was because of the leak, thats a weird ban because, stuff changes in development. But then I guess you shouldnt be leaking in the first place. /shrug

I'm really liking the footage coming out, but there are a few nitpicky details I'm still wondering about.

1) Will they ever change Dante's Beowulf back to DMC3 white instead of using Vergils's DMC4SE purple?

2) Did they ever change X's First Armor exclusive super or animation? In Infinite he uses the double charge shot which was only a thing starting with the Second Armor in X2. The First Armor had the pink spiral shot (maybe this replaces his standard charge buster while armor is up?).

Haggar barrel, Frank tripod, Spidey throw setups, all pretty dope additions. Looking forward to more!

It was incomplete info, but it wasn't presented as incomplete info, and it definitely hurt Capcom having it presented as such.
He later clarified that his source had old info and things may have changed post-zip leak, and mentioned he was uncertain about things. Still odd to see him banned when he got so much on the money, can't have been the mind gem alone, the source could have confused it with the soul stone even, it could have been a semantic error.

I've zero doubt in my mind the Ryce leak hurt Capcom a lot though, especially being incomplete. That was a big thread and people stopped paying attention to the game at that point even though it was an incomplete list. It's also irreparable harm too, since changing minds once people have made up their mind is hard as hell.

Ugggggggh Ryce :[

To be 100% transparent I've been his source since the end of last year and the info I heard about the stones just ended up being incorrect. My info just came from chatting up top players and keeping my ear to the ground at majors. Most of what I get ends up being really accurate, but you can imagine there's always a risk that outdated info (or sometimes flat-out false rumors) is getting passed around instead.

Ryce has been a super valuable member of the community and I'd hate to see him in trouble over one inaccuracy that I told him about. I understand he agreed to taking a risk by posting it but I still think it's only fair that I face the repercussions instead of him, especially when he's been so vocal about suspecting his source had outdated info for the past month or so.

What a twist.

Eh, Capcom did that to themselves. They should have made a better product and communicated better with their audience.

Respect, most people wouldn't own up to this. I honestly don't think either of you should be perma banned for this since clearly your info was basically spot where it counted. Up to the mods to make that decision though.

He got banned over the stones.

I was banned for "fake leaks," and it's permanent because I've already been banned before.

I'm just really frustrated, embarrassed, and confused that the mods would let me post info for seven months knowing that my source was legitimate (I was contacted by a mod in December), and now it's suddenly "fake" because an Infinity Stone detail was off. Things change over the course of development. Apparently I just guessed the PSX reveal, April press tour with down-down shenanigans, Jedah, Gamora, and other stuff.

I liked being on GAF and interacting with all the awesome members there, and now it's all gone and I've been brandished a liar over incomplete and outdated info. It hurts.

If Ryce's source is a gaffer, whose supplying him sources? How many capcom plants are in this thread?

That really sucks. Ryce was a valuable member. I feel like that's just too harsh.

Yeah no kidding, super intelligent guy and always trustworthy. Surely some kind of exception could be made? Would love to talk with a mod about this, like I said I absolutely have no problem taking a ban instead.

We definitely ain't getting any more leaks from anyone. RIP Ryce. Hopefully Saiyko you'll be alright though I know how you'll feel.

I will stand by and say this game would've been in the same pickle even without the leak. Except you would have had hopeful people getting crushed closer to release.

The leak was the biggest positive for the community in knowing capcoms BS.

Probably best to pm a mod and ask which mod was the one who perm'd Ryce and ask to speak with him/her.

Don't agree with this at all.

Huge respect for letting us know.
