Marvel's Jessica Jones |OT| A.K.A. Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones *spoilers for S1*

The shared universe is interesting. Such insane things happen on Agents of SHIELD. Paul Rudd is in San Francisco shrinking and going on heists. There are aliens. And here's Jessica Jones battling trauma and PTSD in a shitty part of town while hunting down a psychotic mind controller.

You'd think SHIELD would have obliterated him ages ago. They have the Index for a reason.

Just because something wasn't in the index doesn't mean it didn't/doesn't exist. That's been a little clear since that whole Sanctuary place came into play..

But he's exactly the kind of guy whose powers make him impossible to detect.

ep 13

Sweet.
Great show.
KG living could have gone 50/50 at the end there if he left or not. or asked trish if her sis was lying or not.

Just finished episode one. I wasn't feeling it all that much, but the ending just hooked me. And here I thought Daredevil was as dark as the MCU would get. Hoo boy.....

Finished it, first 3 episodes are great, kinda drags until Ep.8 and then, it gets insane but the ending was kinda ho hum.

Year of Marvel ranking: Daredevil S1 > Antman > Jessica Jones > AoS > Carter >>>>>> AoU

Episode One was pretty alright, it wasn't an explosive start like Daredevil but the charactertizion already seems better. Ritter is great so far in the titular role, I look forward to her character's progression.

Marvel's Jessica Jones |OT| Featuring Power Man and Doctor Creepy

Just seen the first 4 episodes, good stuff. Perfect cast.

5 episodes in, sweet lord. This show is actually terrifying. I don't feel safe at any point watching this, because I feel like Kilgrave could be around every corner or someone he's controlling could leap out at any moment. They did a FANTASTIC job of putting me in Jessica's shoes. This shit is beyond fucked up in a way that torture porn can't even reach. I'm taking a break to cook up some food and diving back in.

Bravo, Marvel. Bravo.

I'm three episodes in, and it's quite good. I probably prefer the gritty vigilante action of Daredevil overall, but this is a real genre buster for the MCU.
It's interesting to have a straight up evil villain, as Purple Man is so far (and I'm not expecting him to be anything but evil for the remainder of the season), contrasted with the variety of more cartoony villains in the movies, and the humanized Kingpin. Kilgrave is actually depraved.

Episode 5 done. Kilgrave is creepy. He's legit scary.

All the cast is great.

Question (episode 5):
Does Kilgrave need to be face to face with the person to control them? In the phone conversation at the end, he said he could come over and ask her in person. I assume this means he can't control her over the phone.

also, "Save the junkie, save the world", lol

According to the general Wikipedia page
his body produces pheromones which allow him to verbally control the actions of others.
So it seems like that's how it is. I'm only on Ep. 6 so I have no idea if they go in depth on the show.

Honestly, with AoS 1.5+2+3, AC S1, DD S1, JJ S1;

MCU TV > MCU Movies

I don't understand why people say that the TV shows need to justify their existence in the MCU or be more involved with the Movies.

Clearly, the movies are the ones that need to step up their game.

Here I was saving JJ for December and I'm already half way through it. I don't think it'll last until the next episode of AoS.
