Oh, I'm pretty sure thats an understatement. Prepare for the majority of the Ultimate universe to become cannon fodder.

As much flack as Millar gets, Ultimates 1 and 2 are awesome and I can't find any fault in them.

You should check out his second Ultimate Avengers serieses, with Blade and vampires and like a Chav Hulk. Holy shit. Some of the worst comics I've ever read.

I really don't think it's accurate to blame the failure of the 2011 Ultimate relaunch on the New 52, though I'm sure it didn't help. It was already in a state of irreversible decline at that point.

I'd definitely be curious to see a Guardians story from him. Always was bummed when he left Ultimates since I quite liked the start he had.
How has his Avengers been anyway? I know he plays a long game so I declined reading it monthly and figured I'd wait on an omnibus or something.

It was planned out ever since Jeph Loeb had 616 Wolverine wake up in a cold sweat after having a dream about getting ripped apart by the Hulk which happened in Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine
Man fuck everyone who didn't buy Hickman's Ultimates run. The way Hickman talks in that EW interview makes it sound like his plans for later if that series continued would have been magnificent. Hopefully he can incorporate some of that in the coming months.

The fantastic art from Esad Ribic didn't hurt either. It'd definitely be interesting if he could somehow bring back some of those ideas.
