I'll ask the work doctor to make sure.
But my understanding is that viruses can't be "cured" or "erased" from your system.
But the viral load can be brought down with medicine/retrovirals.

So do you think the people who had SARS and MERS should still be quarantined now?

It's just the Flu Bro. What are you worrying about?

Only 60 Million? What's the concern. I don't even use Anti-bac for less than 200 Million.
Nothing whatsoever, I 👅 street lights , door handles , toilet seats ! And I am still posting 🤣🤗

There are no quarantines in the world , I don’t see them with my own eyes.

Only on the internet... everybody knows that’s fake

373 (+54) barely 1600 more tests carried out though up from the previous day (26k versus 24.6k) 🤔

Death rate doubled though :messenger_neutral:

There are not enough tests ... testing is manual labor here in The Netherlands. Takes almost 3 days. 24 hours for the first 24 hours for the second l, you need 2 tests.

Yup it’s that bad.

In NorCal a Jr. High school student has tested positive. He got it from a family member and is the reason why one of the largest school districts in NorCal has closed all schools this week.

According to the metrics site:
Recovered cases: 64,647

What does this mean?
They are stable and don't have symptoms anymore?
But they still have the virus right? they can still pass it to others?
So, they can't have a normal life yet?
Or recovered means the virus is dead and nonexistent in their system anymore?
Recovered means they test negative for the virus, and are no longer contagious. It means they don't have the virus any more.

Hospitals can mitigate it though. The key is for people to NOT panic and rush to the emergency room if they sneeze. That's why in the US they're telling people to CALL first and talk to someone to see if they need to go in or if they can mitigate it at home like the flu. Of course those who WANT riots and panic are screaming that's not right and people need to flood the hospital system to cause a collapse. Almost as if that's what they want.

No one wants a collapse. Erring on the side of caution is the prudent thing to do. Jamming your fingers in your ears and screaming "Its just the flu bro" is not how you prevent that from happening, because the unprepared will be the ones panicking when their loved ones can't breathe.

That's not what I'm saying. At the same time forcibly quarantine 327 million people in the US and causing a full economy collapse isn't the thing to do either. People just need to not be stupid and not go out if they feel sick. And people are ALREADY panicking. Just read this thread.

Spain cancels flights to and from Italy
From CNN’s Laura Perez Maestro

The Spanish government has blocked direct flights between Spain and Italy as it looks to stop the spread and of coronavirus.
The government said in a statement it was making the decision because the vast majority of cases imported into Spain had been linked to Italy

The economy is already collapsing/has already collapsed. Hitting the pause button for a month would be a hell of a lot less damaging than a huge question mark lasting for who knows how long.

Supply chains are already disrupted. If we can slow the spread down until temperatures start to rise, it should help to put a stop to the virus. The thing is, the more it spreads now the worse it will return in the fall and winter. If we can get it contained and improve treatment protocols by fall the economic future looks a lot brighter than another month of uncontrolled exponential growth.

No shit quarantining the entire US wouldn't be a good idea.
The right thing to do, would've been to take it seriously from the get go. Rigorous testing and contact tracing. That way you can get away with quarantining small areas and small numbers of people.

Lol now that they're on a fast pace to reach Italian numbers? Now that other countries are probably thinking of cancelling flights to and from Spain?

Italy should cancel all flights from and to Italy. They whole country is on lockdown/quarantine. Meanwhile I can book a flight to Milan for tomorrow from KLM no problem. What the hell.

Harvard asks students to move off-campus by the end of this weekend

Students at Harvard are being asked to move out of their dorms by Sunday, according to media relations director Rachael Dane.
“Harvard College students have been asked to move out of their Houses and First-Year Dorms by Sunday, March 15 in an effort to de-densify our community,” Dane told CNN in an email.
All academic courses will continue to be held remotely, she added.
Earlier today, Harvard's president said the school has asked students not to return to campus after spring break.
Harvard spokesman Jason Newton said any on-campus meetings after March 23 — the first day after spring break — will go virtual.

What the US socialist media doesn't understand is that in the US A LOT of the time when you get lab tests done from your doctor they're NOT done by the nanny state government like in other countries. There are commercial lab companies that many doctors and insurance plans use, and those are testing beyond the CDC tests.

Yeah, China shut down its entire economy because it's the US election Year. Seems Legit.

No. But we are here. Here, the politics are definitely part of the equation. However China has a lot on the line trade-wise with us. So any chance they can get to harm trump they will take it as well.

2 New York school bus drivers have coronavirus
Nassau County in New York has 19 confirmed coronavirus cases, up from 17 yesterday – including two school bus drivers that transport between them about 80 students on several routes, according to the county executive.

They both drive small buses on Long Island, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran said at a news conference today.

Netherlands province / region took matters in their own hands , because the Dutch government failed .

Still half baked measure, but they need one more week to adjust to reality and start LocK downs, human psychology,

I’ll keep preparing .

"There's not enough equipment, there's not enough people." --Dr. Redfield describing the state of the nation's public health laboratories, which have been overwhelmed by the coronavirus outbreak.

Already? We've barely had any impact so far in the US.

Who would have ever thought that a for profit health care system wouldn’t make investments into unprofitable areas like pandemic preparedness for national security purposes. I’m shocked, utterly shocked.

They will spend millions for the the top of the line MRI that they can charge a premium for, mind you.

Well it's a good thing the public health labs are the only labs in the US that can test. Be he doesn't tell you that, or it's a lede that's buried. It's all about putting forth a narrative to drive panic. In the US all private hospitals have labs and there are also commercial labs that are used by a lot of insurance companies.

If I were to go down the street to a doctor locally, they'd send the labs across the street to a LabCorp that they use. If I wanted to drive a little further to a better hospital, that hospital would use their on-site lab to test.

Here's a list of public & private labs. Still not enough. 1500 LabCorp location tests isn't enough.

Careful there Citizen. I may have to mark you down for one of our future re-education Freedom camps, where you'll learn all about the problematic nature of freedom of speech and thought.

Call me a fool and a communist here, but if China wanted to get rid of Trump wouldn't it be a lot easier for them to just assassinate the man versus infect their own country with an uncontrollable virus and tank their own economy in the process? Or are we playing this entire scenario out using 24 Scriptwriting rules? In which case carry on.
