Ok...but you just say an r naught of 4 is impossible to stop. Which is ridiculous. Measles has an r0 of 12+ and it has been nearly eradicated. Same goes with diphtheria (r0 of 6 to 7), Polio (5-7), Mumps (4-7) etc etc.
Obviously those diseases arent like for like with corona virus but it is obvious that mankind has managed to handle diseases with high r naught values before. No reason to believe it cant again.

Any time someone says you must watch a video with some dude that looks like a used car salesman in the thumbnail it is usually not worth watching. Probably could say anytime anyone says to watch a video at all but there was one video in this thread, the one with the Chinese journalist, that was actually worth watching, so that generalization really wouldn't hold true.

Nah it isnt technically an airborne transmitted infection. Airborne transmitted infections are carried on dust particles and droplet nuclei and can remain in the air for extended periods of time because they can be dried out and still manage to transmit thr disease. As far as I know there are relatively few diseases capable of airborne transmission. The coronavirus is a "droplet contact" style of transmission. They are too heavy to remain in the air for long.

It is airborne and an entire country of 1.7 billion people is in full lock down with the WHO declaring it a global emergency.
The amount of people dead is much greater than 200 people and the number of infected is a hundred times more than the 10k the fake news tells us about.

Well we have no way of explaining such a thing though the leading theory thus far is this was a man made virus that somehow got loose. Obviously China as a country would be wanting to keep things quiet in regards to any of that. Time will tell if that theory has any truth to it.
China is a country that is fiercely based upon outward impressions to the world. It is constantly boasting of its achievements. Look a few posts above, the live feed of the hospital being built has a random shitty photoshop of a high speed rail in its thumbnail. It is ridiculous. Gotta show the world how modern they are all the time! It drives the propaganda train at home and they use the same tactics to project the same thing to the outside world. This is a country that has its hands in the global economic pie, even if it is just a random new virus with no nefarious goings ons, it is going to try and downplay any concerns.

If it tears through India, they'll be upfront about it and we can all agree that China's been hiding details.

We will see how bad it really is with in the next 2 weeks, when it starts to hit the west properly.

The left wants that because it will be good for the stressed out citizens, but 'national interest' and 'corporate profits' are against this.
Even if they implement more socialist policies in America, that still will not make China or Russia friends because of the military industrial complex has such a large role over the American system. Geopolitics is a delicate balance on all sides, both the brand image of a country, and the behind-the-scenes dirty work that occurs (ie. Epstein case) are part of it.
As a Canadian who's ethnically Chinese, I really identify with peace and harmony, so I really hope for more cooperation between the America and China. However, based on the way Xinjiang and HK is being propagated in the MSM without much reference to the complexities behind these issues, this relationship does not look so good, at least under Trump and his stressed out nationalist voters. In the case of Xinjiang... it was a response to a wave of violent terrorist attacks to destabilize the country through the spread of fear. I mean China does not want to bomb nor destroy its own territory and its citizens, contrary to the American response to 911, so what is the 'humane' way for them to deal with this threat?
The main problem is one of trust due to the history of the world. China was invaded by foreign powers before, so as she rises, it is only natural for past "enemies" to be a bit fearful. However, the "enemies" of America naturally are more welcoming towards China's rise which protects them from American imperial interests. I wish all the elites can just chill and take some LSD, but that's not the way monkey tribes work. What we should do is work together, try to fix global inequality, and protect the environment. I do not mind competition between China and America, but I do not like the promotion of hatred and fear... which leads to racism, nationalism, and classism. *Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya* Reality is so beautiful, all just consciousness, the universal now, man.
