DEVOS is up.

Time for some hard hitting Qs.

"You said Owen was speaking a moment ago but you were talking a moment ago, are you racist and why?"

And now a word from my Negar

I have learned that Twitter posts without citing the source are nonsense in 99.9% of cases. And no, "A doctor said..." is not a source.

I don't even want to deny that hospitals will get into such situations or already are, but unfortunately experience says: No clearly named source = mostly bullshit.

+62,174 cases today, worldwide
+3144 deaths today, worldwide

Less than 6000 to 600,000K.

Crazy numbers considering we were all following this when it was only China reporting 2000 cases and 40 deaths per day.

Spain is really being ignored (even here). Their numbers are really getting close to Italy levels, and I am not sure if they'll have the same downturn, since they resisted shutting down for a bit.

I got a text from Verizon saying they are adding 15gb of data to my 3gb plan for next month only. No extra cost. I thought this was really nice until I remembered I'll be stuck at hone on WiFi all month and so will most people. :messenger_tongue:

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS QUEEN, SLAY QUEEN SLAY!! YAAAAASSSS!!!

I hope AirBnB doesn't go under (or a replacement emerges). I love how it's changed casual traveling, not having to rely on hotels.

I doubt it - as long as infrastructure and code remains, some company will in the future pick this up and carry on via an IP purchase or some other deal.

Turn off WiFi on your phone and stream Netflix for a while.

Wow this is next level cringey material...

People who made fun of the numbers and the health care workers in the frontline are, IMHO, inherently deplorable by any moral standards.

What's funny (I guess) is being #1 in tested cases isn't necessarily a bad thing, having cases you don't know about is infinitely worse. Obviously zero of both would be preferred, but very few countries in the entire world can claim that now.

Bell Canada did even better, waived roaming fees.

Now is probably not the right time for casting blame, but they could and should have done more. I remember that very football game, and its potential to trigger a wave of cases in Spain, being discussed here. It took them a very long time to respond.

This might be a stupid question, but I he can't we build a bunch of facilities that pump out face masks, aprons etc like super quick? It China can build a hospital in a month or whatever, why is it so hard to mass produce these basic necessities fast?

Because the average time to set up a new factory is 1 to 2 years. The quickest way is to repurpose an assembly line building similar products but even then you need to set up a supply chain of subsuppliers who are already running at 100% capacity.

For something as complicated as a ventilator you may have 4 levels of supply chain before final assembly, all of them need to add capacity.

Because this country (and most of the world) has mostly relied on China for manufacturing these things. Also, not being a communist dictatorship, it's not that easy to just commandeer existing factories and force people to work in them.

Spain is a wierd country, it is filled with red tape, for everything you want to do. I don't think this is working for them at the moment, it probarly takes a dozen or so signatures on 20 different forms in order to activate a single military hospital. Then the document has to be sent back to be verified and signed by 40 more people. Though, that might not be enough, so, lets do it all again. Then we have to send it by a official notario, which invalidates all the signatures, soooo...

It seems the entire system is in shell shock atm, and nothing is getting done, because noone wants to bypass the system.

Very much like Italy in the beginning. :\

True ?

Also as far as mask or other PPE the problem is red tape. U have to make them to certain certification. They have to actually work and not be defective or worse can injure people. So there are a ton of standards and specifics. And probably alot of corruption amd graft in contracts.

Trump and Pence basically cut as much red tape as possible and have been pushing all kinds of shit threw because its a fn pandemic.

This from my state's newspaper today:

Cops probe US runaways as ICU cases double

An infected American couple who fled the state while awaiting coronavirus test results are now under police investigation.
What a couple of cunts.

I work for Verizon, we have TONS of customers in rural communities with no access to landline based WiFi and this is a godsend for those people :)

Just do what I did, got a buzz cut as I did not know how long they would have stayed open for. Saved money in the long run too.
That's my plan this weekend. Amazon wanted 50 queen's heads for some clippers, which, fuck that. So I'm off t B and M to get some 10 quid knock off corded ones.

Tennis ball head, here I come.

This is how I feel right now. This may just be out of anger. Between what China has done, and the pathetic Left crying about fucking so-called "racism",

China has committed an Act of War against the United States of America (and other western countries) by releasing this Communist Chinese Party Corona Virus.

The Communist Chinese Party has already sickened well over 100,000 Americans (with many more yet to be detected) and more people will end up dying from Covid-19 than those who died on 9/11.

Think about that for a minute and then plead with President Trump to retaliate militarily against China.

p.s. resetera can fuck off.

I have come to say that everything will be alright, and not to despair. Things will come to pass, and find comfort in things rather than fear.
