I think I'll be getting this game at the Wii U launch. How directed is the multiplayer? Is it pretty much just waves with the game giving enough direction to players that matches can be completed without much communication between players if that ends up being the situation?
But since Wii U will probably have less players than any other versions...and since we have no idea how good or bad Nintendo's own network will be, you better hope the multiplayer of ME3 isn't going to be too affected by it.
Thanks. That sounds pretty good actually with a decent amount of variety.
Nintendo's servers always put me a horrible delay except on the portable consoles where they put dedicated servers.
They should have put the Valkyrie instead of the Argus, at least it got better accuracy and firing rate.
agreed but he would have to have some agressive powers as well.I've been thinking: one class I'd like to see in future DLC is a Medic engineer. Give him/her a Supply Pylon-like Regeneration Field, which restores Health and Shields, and a limited supply of Medi-gel to restore fallen comrades from a distance. The Medi-gel can be replenished at ammo boxes, same as grenades. Add in Fortification or some other defensive power (heck, maybe offensive could work), and a class like that could be really cool.

a regen beam would be great as well as a snap freeze type thing. it would encourage camping around your healing pylon though.
also, you wouldnt be able to tell who is hurt and how bad..
If I'm understanding you correctly, that would screw with their store set up a bit, allowing any of those four items to be replenished in-game. Folks would exploit it all the time to keep their Medi-Gel supply at 255.
I don't understand why the last man standing won't use his fucking rockets when he's surrouned by atlases and phantoms. Fuck buying them, just blow the fuckers up.

please no.
all this would do is make people think it's ok to run around and get killed. They do it enough as it is, if they know someone on their team can heal them from the other side of the map it would be even worse. People would run around with unmodded Locusts
Most times when you are last man standing phantoms just hold their position and gang up on you: after that it's either sync-kill, combination of melee or whatever they have to frustrate even the most ice-cold of players.
It's wasted medi-gel, basically.
There is also the chance you end up with a team of people who don't use medi-gel, rocket or ops packs and you just go "meh, why bother?". If it's wave 3 on gold and teammates keep going down and don't use gels even when they are surrounded by banshees and brutes, it's faster, less stressful and more fun to just ditch them and fish for better players. Unless of course you are an infiltrator-junkie and you enjoy the passive aggressiveness of letting the other players die so they can watch how you "carry" the entire match
IMO there's also a question of...accountability. If you are last and you die, doesn't matter how much the others have screwed up, you can't trick yourself into thinking "we lost because of that vanguard with claymore/infiltrator lvl 1/kroguard who glitched and din't left the match" and so on. And the others will make sure you won't delude yourself by sending you insults even if they saw you go through an entire stock of medi, ops and cobras.
Once again it's all about whether people understand how co-op works differently than VS or not: you would think with the popularity of MMOs people would get into games like these to enjoy teammwork, but nooo...
Yeah, if folks are going down early and not using their medi-gels or ops-survival, it's not worth it. But, it really sucks when you make it to wave 10, complete the objective and everyone else just seems to give up and not bother, especially on gold. I get folks are mostly farming for credits, but damn man, at least TRY to get extracted.
Extra credits for extractions would fix that.
I want the opposite. I want a mode where you have to have full consumables before going into a match and you lose any you have left at the end of a game.
Cleared Giant in 19 flat which is kind of crazy for pubbers. Good Gold games this weekend.
Everyone get their squad goal in? I might be on for one more game later.
Most of the good players I meet in pubs are swimming in credits and consumables.sorry but this is an even worse suggestion. at least his isn't a punishment to everyone.
this just says "lol who cares if you're good"
Most of the good players I meet in pubs are swimming in credits and consumables.
A 33k entry fee (pending extraction) would be chump change.
Where the DLC at?

Man I couldn't play this weekend because I was really sick
I bet you guys will get awesome stuff =(
not me, couldnt get a damn game together with 4 of the same race - was RIDICULOUS. The one time we did some dickhead quit halfway through as he kept dying and was replaced with a different race.
The other time i entered a game and saw that everyone was turian (fine) - i go to change to turian as i entered with a geth (You cant possibly know which race people are going to choose) and before i could choose a character i was kicked from the game for being geth.
There was really no reason for this "Goal"
It was fun and easy if you actually have people in your friend list that play this game. Good thing i do!
I dont. I play with randoms only...
No. I would rather lose consumables than play with people that don't have or refuse to use them.yeah, except that 33k adds up over time and could be put to better use. the idea of punishing good players is ridiculous.
I would rather my consumables go to waste than carry scrubs to 75k because they don't want to put in the time to get decent and just expect good players to carry them.
you must work for BioWare because this is just a ridiculous solution. you think the scrubs care if they lose consumables? they don't use them anyway. Whether they have 255 or 0 it doesn't make a difference. they join publics and hope they have good people in the lobby to carry them. if not, they just leave and repeat the process.
Understand that in my dream mode extraction has a credits bonus. You can't even join without FULL consumables 5/5/6/5. 'Buy-in' matches are user selectable. You don't have to join 'buy-in' matches. It results in a net loss only for players that don't reach extraction at certain rate. Players that regularly reach extraction wouldn't notice a difference.
This week's goal was horrible.
I thought if you had a private lobby it would stay that during the game. I guess not cause people kept on joining even though it was just my friend and me in a private lobby.
I just gave up after the 2nd try

That's a horrible idea. I've played from the very beginning, and spent millions of points on the packages, yet my consumables capacity is still like this:
And I suspect I'm not the only one.
That being said, what would be the best package to buy in order to raise the capacity?
Reverse the Cobra missiles with Thermal Clips and I'm right there with you. Although I went through a good 2 month period where I barely touched the MP, and only recently got back into it.
So, what's your collection of Uncommon 'n Rare stuff look like?Well, I haven't played the game every day, or even every week, myself either. =) I've put countless hours and points on it after its release, and I'm a bit baffled how to raise the consumables capacity, as I haven't received a single Medi-Gel & Ops Survival Pack raise.
It's definitely not a lobby for everyone. That's why it's an optional flag. That's a horrible idea. I've played from the very beginning, and spent millions of points on the packages, yet my consumables capacity is still like this:

What I'd like to see is that if the match ends abruptly due to losing the connection, you should still get the points you had collected up until that point, and not lose any of the consumable gear you had set for the match.
Nice. I hope we get something good.Operation was a success.
I totally got like a quarter of those Atlas kills on 360. Y'all got carried. :B[/BS]

I can't remember what packages raised my capacity. Probably Spectre Packs. PSPs would be better these days. I bought rookie/vet packs when I first started playing. Back then finishing a Gold game was a get. Wish I had played more Gold to get my capacities up to 10 before they nerfed that.
Operation was a success.

By the hairs of our chinny chin chins
Xbox totally carried the Operation with 322k killed.
Not surprising when they have the biggest fanbase.
What are the PC and PS3 numbers?
PS3 really doesn't have a lot of ME3 players huh.
And yet another vague comment from Hackett that might or might not be talking about Collectors.
Screw you Bioware, announce it already!
