Was in a Gold match like this earlier with my Geth Soldier. The other guy, Quarian Male, same N7 Level (120).
Two guys join--Juggernaut + Male Soldier.
"Oh great, why is he using the Acolyte? That thing takes too long to fire."
"At least I'll get some revives from these two."

It's really funny how much stock people put into N7 levels.
Sidenote, the AIU is mind-blowing to people who see it for the first time.
Not since they got buffed.
They're not god-tier or anything but the turret went from lol to "not bad /obamasmirk" since then.

I like the flamethrower turret on my Geth Engineer. It's something that keeps doing damage even while i'm running away. I've seen it killing some enemies too!
Yep, and it's good for tech explosions as well.
Oh, they got buffed? By how much?

I have the perfect soundtrack for Gold, but PS3 doesn't support it so...
Another reason why I love my Astro Mixamp. I can have my laptop connected to it so I can listen to music while playing

I wouldn't be surprised if only 5 or even 10% of ME3 players know about it. The window to glitch is pretty small so it is hard to do consistently. Plus it might be wonky because the last time I did it, I thought it worked but after the progress bar was filled, it was still uploading as if there were 3 players in the circle.

I wonder what's his build and gear, and whether he's specced the Kroguard for weapon damage? I'd like to try that on Gold.
I played a couple of games yesterday after a longer break, and was lucky enough to find a very good random team. Reaper/Dagger/Gold went through like a charm. I didn't even need to use any consumables, apart from Thermal Clips.
xCal shows his gear at the beginning of the video and his build is at the end.
This is based on memory:
Reegar - HVB+Magazine upgrade
Incendiary, Cyclonic Modulator, SG Rail, Armored Compartments
Biotic Charge - 4b, 5a, 6b
Barrier - 4b, 5b, 6a
Passive - 4b, 5b, 6b
Fitness - 4b, 5b, 6b
edit: as you can see, he's trying to get a low cooldown by taking 4b weight capacity

Thanks. I missed that in a hurry. I might try that to get the Solo Mastery challenge done. Although my gear is probably at a significantly lower level than his.
5b? Is that the headshot bonus? Must be hard to do headshots with a Reegar. lol
Seems pretty similar to the build I used for soloing 2 gold matchs for the Solo Mastery. Although I used 6a for lowering the cooldown of Biotic Charge even more so I can spam it as much as possible during difficult moments. And 6b for Barrier to get maximum damage reduction.
Yeah it is headshot bonus and I agree lol. But when you do get the headshots, it does a lot of damage.
The cooldown is 6.67s in the end for both builds (Barrier 6a + Passive 6b vs Barrier 6b + Passive 6a) so it's up to the person to go for the extra 10% damage or 10% DR, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.
Did you find the gold solo matchs to be slightly hard? Whenever I think about playing gold solos, I start doubting myself lol.
Nah, with a Reegar X and the mods/gears mentioned above, i soloed Gold/Geth/Glacier twice and still had plenty of consumables left in the end. The only hard objective is the one asking to hack 4 nodes since no one is protecting you or attracting enemies attention, but a rocket or kiting a group far away and then running to the node make things easy.
Just gotta spam that Biotic Charge everytime your shield is down or almost down and burn everything with your Reegar.

The Reegar is great at headshots. Just aim at the very top of enemies heads. I would rack up headshot kills with the AIU using the Reegar.

I did my gold solos with the ghost, though it's clear (if it wasn't already) that the Kroguard has the stuff, and that the Reegar is an absurdly powerful weapon, especially with incendiary 4 (or warp 4 on a Huntress, for example). It's frankly astonishing that that gun never took a damage nerf. Also hilarious is the fact that due to its rate of fire, it actually does less than its on-paper dps due to dropping shots.
I've only ever pulled off that hack glitch a couple of times, it's pretty damned funny when you do it.

Finally managed to do my first solo Gold run. Tried first against Reapers, but was insta-killed on round 3, as I got stuck in the scenery. Tried again against Geth, and it was far easier without charging insta-killing enemies. Took me ages though, as the pic shows.
I had to spend all the missiles during the hacking mission around halfway the match. Luckily I still managed to get through the escort mission on round 10 without them. I used Kroguard with Reegar III / HCB V + STC V, SG Amp III gear, and SG Rail Amp III, Cyclonic Modulator III, Incendiary III consumables. One more for the Lone Wolf banner.
EDIT: Unfortunately I couldn't try the video build above, as I had no Reset Powers left. My build wasn't really optimal for weapon damage.

Can anyone clarify on some specific challenge questions I have? When going for a challenge, let's say "Get 50,000 points using Incinerate,"
Does Incinerate actually have to be the killing stroke for this? Also do you have to be the killer or does an assist count towards it?
Let's say I'm also going for a specific gun challenge at the same time. If I hit a dude with Incinerate, then finish him off with my gun, let's say it says +500 kill. Does that 500 points go towards Incinerate or the gun, or both?
I'm going for Assault Rifle Mastery, currently have 11/13 done. My Geth Pulse Rifle was at like 40% already so I tackled that next; good grief I just cannot get any kills with it. So I'm worried that my plentiful assists aren't counting towards anything

Assists do count for this. I've seen people kill an enemy, and I only used Warp once or twice on him, and saw an update on "Warp Use" showing up at the bottom of the screen.
And if you do use a gun and power on a single enemy, both will count. If you got 500 points from killing a dude, you'll get 200 points with Incinerate and 300 points with your gun for example, depends how much you abused one or another, it could be 50 points in Incinerate and 450 in gun damage, they never really tell. That's why when I was grinding Gun Challenges, I barely used my powers... so I could get most of my points from guns.
And yeah, it takes longer to gain points with weapons having weak damage like the Geth Pulse Rifle or the Geth SMG.

Thanks, Bis. I might abandon the GPR even though I'm at around 50% with it atm. I feel like picking a different AR, even if I start at 0%, will be faster than it. Even if that turns out wrong it's right in my head

The Geth Soldier with Hunter mode can kill shit quick with the GPR. That is the combo I used to max my GPR out.
Wouldn't a Geth Infiltrator be better since you would have the damage bonus from Cloak and Proximity Mine?

Yeah but I like hunter mode since you can fire faster and hit them with more shots in a short amount of time. Doesnt the cloak bonus only last for a few seconds?
But the Geth Infiltrator also have Hunter mode...

Oh I dont play as the GI, I feel stupid now. I did it with the soldier but if the GI has hunter mode also that would make it go much quicker.

My point was that anybody still playing ME3 has all the expansion packs, and you can only be matchmade with people who have the same downloaded content as you do.
I just can't take hunter mode off my Gethy Engineer, I rely on it so much. I make up for shields with the Juggernaut gear.
I do go down fast as hell though, so uploading and escorting really suck. Cn't get overwhelmed, but I do a lot of damage and blast shields off enemies right when they turn the corner so my team/turret can obliterate them.

I saw someone setting off explosions that had a Nuke graphic on them. What weapon or power is that? Was probably a gun that I don't have yet.

Its not a weapon, its a Possessed Abomination that just died. Stay away from them if you dont wanna die from that.

Yeah he was a volus shortie of some kind. For some reason, the RNG has seen fit to give me all of these guys. I die a LOT so, this race combo isn't really good for me. I don't pay enough attention to hit shield boost, lol =) I love geth, batarians and krogans. Dat hp crutch!

Got the Tech banner last night my first one! I couldn't figure out how to set it at first. On the n7hq site it gives me 3 to choose from but on the game's challenges menu, gives me 1. I turned it on in-game but it wouldn't let me choose the others from the site. There was a warning that I had to be logged out so I set it overnight and am hoping the one I selected appears next time I turn it on

The ones available on the N7 site are fan mades, that's why they aren't available from the ingame menu. But yeah, you have to be logged off from the main game for them to work.
